Fantastische Erfahrung: Beautiful Space in Jax. In summer you can see the gardens and the river, without suffering from the heat and humidity. Then it always has good exhibitions and there is a varied menu to eat something at the end or beginning of the tour.

Fantastische Erfahrung: The museum is spacious. It has a large variety of beautiful items from original porcelain to Egyptian findings. The gardens are lovely. The restaurant is definitely worth a try. I'd love to go back.

Positive Erfahrung: Great museum of mostly 17th and 18th century colonial art. They do have some more modern art too (well 20th century). It was interesting to see and read about some pre-American historical artifacts. The Gardens were nice to walk through. Probably would have enjoyed it more outside of summer because it was really hot that day. We enjoyed the exhibits. The gift shop on the other hand is a complete rip off. $55 for a tiny knitted doll my daughter wanted? It didn't have a price tag so I assumed it was like $30.... didn't want to argue so bought it anyways. Anyways it's worth the visit just skip the shop.

Highlights are the gardens, river view, and some beautiful pieces from both known and not-so- known artists. Cute little cafe with excellent Chai latte. Air conditioned - a relief from the heat! Places to sit throughout. Spend a couple of hours and enjoy!

Positive Erfahrung: This exhibit is in the first display of the museum taking up an entire wall. No context or explanation about who this man is and what he was responsible for. I don’t have a problem with controversial art, but there is no context why it’s there. It’s wild that this has been in the gallery for three years without controversy about the way in which it was displayed. The rest of the museum seems lovely.

Great day spent there.

Fantastische Erfahrung: I could write an entire dissertation of my visit to Cummer MAG, but I will keep it as brief as possible. What an Awesome Experience walking into & through this museum and garden. The beauty and the  exquisite pieces housed in the Cummer are beyond word. Everyone should visit at least once in life, if you find yourself in the Jacksonville region. My tour guide was dynamic and kept it very interactive. I must come back again.

Negative Erfahrung: We had a really disappointing experience at this place. As soon as we walked in, we were discriminated against. They asked if we were planning to take photos that weren't for personal use because of the nature of our outfits, to which we replied that we weren't, and that we were only there to enjoy the garden. Despite this, they said okay, as long as we weren't doing a photo shoot for anything but personal use. However, we noticed several families taking photos of each other without any problems. So, we decided to take one ourselves. But, as soon as we started taking the photo, a lady came running towards us and said that we couldn't take photos because we were wearing similar colors in our outfits. It was clear that they had singled us out from the crowd because we looked nice, and they were harassing us while letting others take photos. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you're okay with being discriminated against for the way you look.

Fantastische Erfahrung: So close! So good! From the minute I arrived I knew this place was right up my alley. I took my girlfriend here to see the spring flowers and she was ecstatic the moment we parked. I figured the weather would make our trip a bust but the rain held off miraculously until we finished. There were loads of exhibits and it was definitely a great place to let loose on a weekday. Would definitely come again

Positive Erfahrung: I enjoyed my time at the Cummer museum, I was not expecting tickets to be pricey but I’m glad they’ve a discount for educators. I thought the garden was much bigger from the pictures but it isn’t, it’s still pretty but it is lacking more flowers. The fountains were cute, sitting limited but I loved laying on the grass and admiring the trees. Quite a peaceful area. I was impressed that the museum was so diverse and was even able to see an artwork from an artist that’s from my home country.

Fantastische Erfahrung: I've loved this place since I was a child and we used to take the kids but haven't been in years. My daughter has been asking to go, so we did. The galleries have changed a bit, and the garden is bigger! I absolutely love the porcelain gallery, I think it's my favorite display. The gardens are always beautiful with the giant shady oak trees, and so relaxing, I could sit there all day. One of the best places in Jax in my opinion.

Positive Erfahrung: Small museum with a nice garden, but disappointing that they will only let you take pictures in the garden using your phone camera. The cafe has decent food. The gift shop is overpriced and the worker there has poor customer service skills.

Positive Erfahrung: I enjoyed the art and the gardens. I wish, though, that they would change up the art more often. I went a year ago and saw the exact same pieces I saw back then. I just didn't really see anything that would make me feel like the cummer would teach me more about art if I went another time. I do think for the peacefulness of a museum it is very nice and relaxing. It's very nice to stroll through. I wish they had a sitting place just like a little area. So, if I wanted to discuss art with someone and look at the painting, I wouldn't feel in people's way. I noticed a lot of people wanted to take the art in but didn't want to disturb other people looking at it. There isn't really a place to wait, so you don't rush someone. Overall very nice experience.

Fantastische Erfahrung: First of all Veterans are free on Wednesdays! Woot woot! This place is a whole vibe! I was so entertained! It has so much to offer that I didn’t get to see it all. The grounds are so GORGEOUS it’s just unbelievable! Besides the outside all I got to see was the Women’s Sportsmanship exhibit which is bananas! Go see it before they switch it up!

Fantastische Erfahrung: Can't tell you how many times I've been here. I love this place. Met my boyfriend here and took everyone I love. Students get in free, I believe and they have other discounts and free museum days all the time. The art is incredible, the facilities are clean and easy to navigate, and the gardens are beautiful. I always start from the section down the hall near the gift shop and bathrooms first and make my way down so I don't miss anything. I've never actually eaten at the Cafe but it always smells so good. There is a kid friendly zone past the Cafe that is a lot of fun for them.

Fantastische Erfahrung: Great museum to visit. A nice variety of art - from contemporary to modern to pieces from the 1500s. The gardens were great because the flowers were out. Horrible if you have allergies (yes, I have allergies). Three different gardens to walk through which made a good way to end the visit. For us, the featured installation was women's fashion in sports through out history. Very interesting! Give it a try.

Fantastische Erfahrung: I love museums. I have never heard about this place until last week when we were trying to find some things to do for our 4 year wedding anniversary today. Loved the gardens and the exhibits. I will definitely be back with my son and parents.

Positive Erfahrung: Gorgeous and clean, bit loud with the amount of children touring but we went during the weekday. Wish there was more of a maze to go through rather then wander and hope you saw everything.

Fantastische Erfahrung: It was one of the FREE Fridays when I went. (Not my first time) They are currently in transition so there were areas blocked off with curtains. Near the cafe they were having a great time, someone was singing live and people were dancing. To be honest, it DID annoy me just a little how loud the singing was as I browsed the paintings (at one point someone was singing a Beyonce song a tad off key) but the vibe was nice, people were really enjoying themselves. I love their choices in collections, they never dissapoint. This last Friday there were lots of Japanese art and I even got to see authentic Egyptian heiroglyphics! Whatever style you're into, there is sure to be something for you. They are very versatile. Also, shout out to the ladies up front signing people in! They were very kind.

Fantastische Erfahrung: This museum was clean, the art was beautiful and it was multicultural so seeing how different artists use different methods of creating art for different periods of time was definitely an amazing learning experience. There was some beautiful scenery outside and in the back that would have been breathtaking but due to the floods they were working on cleaning it back up, I would have loved to experience that as well! Positive Erfahrung: Small museum and outdoor gardens. Most of the original house has been converted for the museum space. The original living room and fireplace remains giving you an idea of how life was. We went on a free entry evening. The gardens were being planted with new flowers. Lovely view of the river. Well maintained facility.

Fantastische Erfahrung: There's always something to do at this museum. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and the summer series Jazz in the gardens is excellent. There is a wide variety of art (periods & textures) with something for all ages and interests!

Fantastische Erfahrung: I LOVE the garden. There are new blooms monthly and plenty of seating to stop and enjoy your surroundings. Tuesdays they are open later and the garden has lighting throughout the walk ways. I definitely recommend seeing it during dusk and night time hours Beautiful view of the river. The museum always has great new exhibits every few months. The permanent collection is lovely. Even though I’ve seen it several times I still notice new things about the pieces. Plenty of restrooms. There is a cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. I have not tried the cafe yet but menu looks great. There is an artist that will perform music and/or singing in the cafe and you can still hear them quietly throughout the art rooms. Plenty of free parking. Don’t forget to walk around the outside of the building. To the right there is more parking with painted murals and access to the river. To the left where the large red double rings are there are a few bronze statues along the walkway next the the cafes outdoor seating

Positive Erfahrung: The quality of this place is enviable. A true mix of an art gallery and an art museum. The cleanliness, size and variety of exhibits in the place are impeccable. The visit lasts around 3 hours, as the photos come out wonderfully, due to their paradisiacal scenes. One downside were some gardens that needed repairs, but all in all, it was well worth the visit. It has a kids area for children to play.

Fantastische Erfahrung: What a nice little surprise. My husband even really liked the variety and "wow" of several things. And then in the garden, the fabulous old old oak that just kept going. You definitely have an hour to work this into your day. Your head and soul will thank you.

Fantastische Erfahrung: One of my favorite arts museums in the Country. Why, because it is so easy to get to, never overcrowded, and the museum isn't so large that you feel overwhelmed by the size. The garden in the back is so peaceful, a nice place to walk, and take in the St. Johns River and Jax skyline.

Fantastische Erfahrung: Great museum. We stopped by during our quick visit to Jacksonville before we headed back home to Tampa. We loved the garden area the most even though it was super hot like it always is in Florida during summer . Nonetheless a great time for all ages and art enthusiasts alike.

Fantastische Erfahrung: I’m a yes on this one. Although I felt that the gardens could have used a bit more TLC, all in all, the place was great. There was a very broad collection of artworks in the galleries and of course, the gardens were lovely. I was pleasantly surprised to find works by Lucas Cranach the elder, Thomas Moran, Thomas Cole, Winslow Homer, and even Norman Rockwell. Whatever your taste, I’m confident that you could find some gems here.

Fantastische Erfahrung: We love the discounts with Museums For All, allowing SNAP card holders to visit the museum for free. The gardens are gorgeous and the galleries are full of beautiful and interesting things. Great for all ages. There's lots of seating around and the outdoors seating is plentiful too. Not too crowded and very quiet and peaceful. didn't go to the museum cafe this time but would try it some other time.

Fantastische Erfahrung: This place was so fun! The three gardens by the river made for such a pleasant walking experience and plenty settings to take pictures. Definitely could spend a few hours gazing over all the artworks and pieces. The seasonal section adds solid diversity to frequent goer's, and there was even live music in the cafe when I went.

Fantastische Erfahrung: $15 per person. They do have discounts. Fridays are free from 4pm-9pm. I loved the place, wish they were more specific on the price on their website. I went there to visit and took some people with me with the idea it was free‍♀️

Fantastische Erfahrung: Fridays are free, 5-9pm so we stopped by the museum to check out the current exhibits after having dinner in the area. I really enjoyed the ANILA QUAYYUM AGHA: FLIGHT PATTERNS exhibit, it was peaceful watching the patterns of light on the walls. If you want to see the beautiful gardens, make sure to go outside before they close it at dusk. There is a great hands on kids area, restaurant with adult drinks, and plenty of restrooms.

Fantastische Erfahrung: Great museum filled with thoughtful rotations of art. The grounds are beautiful even in January there are things in bloom and places to tuck away and watch the water. Staff were friendly and they even have a place to lock up the things that aren’t allowed in the museum like food or beverages.

Positive Erfahrung: This was my second visit to the museum. Very beautiful place. The garden is beautiful and I appreciated the ramps. I was able to bring my stroller around with ease. The reason that I give this place 4 stars is the cafe. I waited at the front to get some hot water for my daughters bottle only to be completely ignored by the waiters. I waited as I knew he had two tables finishing up. After he tended to them he still walked passed me like I wasn’t there. A second waitress came over to the same table who already had their bill. Still no acknowledgement. Finally there was a gentleman who worked in the kitchen that asked me if I needed anything. It’s a shame that it took a person who’s not a waiter to help me. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I would enjoy the museum; don’t waste your time or money at the cafe.

Fantastische Erfahrung: Spur of the moment tour from Riverside Arts Farmers Market down the street. We walked and took plenty of pictures for 2 hours. Great exhibits and beautiful flowers. I wanted to take off my shoes and walk in the grass. Friendly staff.

Positive Erfahrung: This is an absolute treasure in Jacksonville. The differing exhibits and art work speak to the culture and creativity of humanity past and present. The garden is breathtaking. I saw a few plants that I have at home that I will be pruning. I was able to view the Deborah Roberts collection. Collages were very creative and quite exquisite.
