Fantastische Erfahrung: The Governors Art Show features some spectacular art. Better than most art shows I've seen. Look for artists from Evergreen!

Fantastische Erfahrung: What a fun Mother's Day outing! Took in the The Governor's Art Exhibit and saw some new things I hadn't experienced before.

Fantastische Erfahrung: This is a really special place. I had no idea the main entry was free and I was impressed by how large and expensive the exhibit was. I was exploring with my sister and we honestly had a blast together looking around and learning together. The museum is really clean and well maintained overall as well.

Fantastische Erfahrung: I live nearby and try to come here multiple times a year at minimum. Recently I went through the weaving exhibits 6 times with a different person each time because as a weaver I wanted my close people in my life to see these exhibits with me. I'm disabled and sometimes I use my mobility aid and other time I can't. The Loveland Museum has 2 wheelchairs available for those who need it for their time at the museum, staff is very kind and accommodating. There's enough space within the museum galleries to move around in the wheelchair the museum provides. There are many free exhibits. Some are only there for a limited time, most of the museum is permanent about the history of Loveland Colorado. My favorite fixed exhibit is the one on our sweetheart Valentine Remailing program that runs every February. There is one paid exhibit and the museum offers discounts on the tickets for elderly and low income people, the full price tickets are much lower than tickets for museum exhibits at larger museums such as Denver Museum.

Fantastische Erfahrung: I love this museum. It offers so much information about the history of the area and it’s free. Adults and children will both enjoy it. You can pay to see the recent exhibit if you choose.

Fantastische Erfahrung: So many interesting exhibits. Quiet and not crowded; hot definitely can take your time and really enjoy your visit. And so affordable!

Fantastische Erfahrung: We were fortunate to catch the Manzanar exhibit before it closed, and were impressed that the work was done under such difficult conditions and with limited access to materials. The Ancel Adams photographs added a sense of sympathy to the internment situation.

Fantastische Erfahrung: A great value, and the staff was very friendly. It had much more to it's exhibits than I expected. The topographic map model on the second floor is incredible, especially if you're local and can pick out familiar sights. They have clean bathrooms and cold water fountains, which is highly appreciated.

Fantastische Erfahrung: I don't know who the director is who gets these fabulous exhibits...kudos! the Manzanar, Amache, and related artists' exhibits were astounding and very powerful. My 10 year old grand-daughter was blown away by the Afghanistan/Banistan exhibit, as was I. Thank you for bringing diversity, adversity, and perseverance through art to us in Loveland. Much appreciated!

Fantastische Erfahrung: Great local historical museum! I live going to small town museums to learn about their history. It's always hit or miss on the quality. This one is well done and informative. Good information on the history of Loveland, and a devoted space to rotating exhibits - currently housing an Ansel Adams collection featuring Japanese Internment Camps. Also, located in the downtown area, so you have a lot of restaurant choices to round out the experience. Again, well done!

Fantastische Erfahrung: Came to see the Ansel Adams exhibit of Manzanar. Very sobering. This little museum is a hidden gem in Loveland. We also saw 2013 flood timeline and pictures, and all about the Great Western sugar factory from days gone by.

Fantastische Erfahrung: A great little local museum & set up well to visit.

Fantastische Erfahrung: The permanent display is cool and the rooms you can walk through are also cool. The tiny gallery in the front to the left is great but almost too small. The last show I went to there was amazing though, the fiber arts show in the small room was very busy and then they had a display of photos and paintings all based around the Incarceration Camps that the Japanese had to deal with. A lot of that history is skipped in school, or it was for me. There was also a small immersive art production that had me in tears. All in all I love this little museum.

Fantastische Erfahrung: My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed our membership to the Loveland Museum. The exhibits are amazing. The opening nights have been great. Though we have a membership, we appreciate that the exhibits are usually free on Night on the Town. The museum is truly an asset to Loveland.

Positive Erfahrung: Cute little museum with a ton of information on the history of Loveland. Weird musty smells in parts, but that’s part of the charm. I did not find the guitar exhibit to be well done and wish I had waited for the upcoming special exhibit. Who makes a guitar exhibit that’s completely silent?! Lovely staff members and cute little gift shop.

Positive Erfahrung: Was inside the museum once. Used the very clean facilities. These fine restrooms are listed as Public Restrooms Downtown. Sometime I may check out some of the displays within. Mostly I like to sit on one of the metal bench tables on the South side, taking in the shufflings of humans and sucking down the good WiFi. Limited parking. I Sweep here, sometimes. Recommended. Maramao. Meow

Fantastische Erfahrung: Nice little museum that exhibited the history of Loveland along with work from various artists. We had the opportunity to see the last day of the Michael Friedman photography exhibit as well as the John Mellencamp special art exhibits. The museum was free but the Mellencamp exhibit did come with a cost. Good way to spend an hour or so of your afternoon.

Fantastische Erfahrung: For the size of the town and the museum, they put on interesting and wonderful art shows. Our family makes special trips to visit this great place. Highly recommend!

Fantastische Erfahrung: Whenever I have guests from out of town, I make it a point to visit the Loveland Museum. It is unique in that it is both a museum of history as well as a museum of fine art. The history portion is specifically about the City of Loveland, and the displays are interesting and well thought out. The art portion of the museum changes throughout the year, and frequently has unexpected and unusual exhibits. The smaller exhibit hall often features local artists or themed exhibits. The larger hall (with newly renovated floors) has first-class showings that you would normally only expect to see in much larger cities. Once a year, just outside the museum, Pastels on 5th takes place. Local artists join with the community to raise money for Alternatives to Violence. Sidewalk chalk art, food and music all make for an annual event that should not be missed!

Positive Erfahrung: Great place to bring the kids. I'm so glad this place is still around showing some of the history of loveland. We had a fun time. We missed the stamps being out though!

Fantastische Erfahrung: It is fun. The main portions are free. There is a paid portion that rotates. There are glass door to peak into the paid gallery to get a feel if you think that is worth it. The main portion has alot on the sugar beets that were grown in the area and a huge map of the rocky mountains. Many items from the early days of Loveland.

Fantastische Erfahrung: We love to visit the museum for their new exhibits. The exhibits in the main gallery are quite varied and unique and they rotate every several months so there's usually something new to see. The core exhibit does an excellent job highlighting the local sugar beet industry history which is an amazing story of what contributed to the community's growth. We return frequently and would highly recommend the exhibit that opened just recently - Ansel Adams photos at Manzanar interment camp in 1943. Just excellent work that truly captures life in the camp! A must see!

Fantastische Erfahrung: Especially loved the Marmots gallery! My grandson loved it too! I only wished the Marmot statues had been more affordable. But highly reccommend it and a must read captions for each piece of art great humor!

Fantastische Erfahrung: My 3 grandchildren, ages 5, 6, and 8, and I really enjoyed the museum. The kids spent a long time playing upstairs in the child sized mail truck "delivering" mail into the colorful mailboxes. They also enjoyed the art exhibit (Marmots) and the historical portion of the museum. Cost for myself was $7, the kids were free!

Fantastische Erfahrung: This museum has done an excellent job in presenting the history of Loveland to the masses. It really is a complete presentation of how Loveland came to be and has grown through the ages with the industries which put it on the map. I really came away with a lot more knowledge of Loveland in general, but also the sugar beet industry which drove agriculture in NoCo, the cherry industry for the near half century it was present in NoCo, the irrigation systems in NoCo and its importance of its life to this day, AND the Loveland Valentines stamp effort from its beginnings. Happened upon the Governor's Art Show too which was nice to see and cast a vote for the public choice award. Highly recommend a stop here even if you are a local and not just visiting.

Fantastische Erfahrung: Despite its location and size this museum provides a deep look into the art and history of the wild west and loveland Colorado specifically. The knowledge and experience of the staff is wonderful, especially if you have children as it is really engaging to have them go over the historical way people lived and mountain men operated. A really delightful experience and a great family or class activity

Fantastische Erfahrung: This understated museum/art gallery is a little known Front Range gem. We were attracted to visit because one of the artists currently on exhibit was a mosaic instructor we knew. Those works are most impressive but we were not prepared for the amazing quality of the art displayed in the main and auxiliary art galleries. We are from Boulder and are not hesitant to say the this Loveland gallery is far superior to our own local Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. 50 percent of this establishment consists of well done but static historical displays which are of possibly interest to out of town visitors. Want to know about the sugar beet industry which allowed Loveland to even happen?

Fantastische Erfahrung: Governor's Art Show is excellent display of Colorado's artists and sculptors. The Loveland Museum is a well put together and delightful show of local history.

Fantastische Erfahrung: The Loveland Museum had a great combination of historical artifacts and a rotating exhibit that frequently includes an impressive collection! Currently, the Governor's art show is in the rotating exhibition hall and we thought it was wonderful! The permanent exhibit about Loveland's history is wonderful and provides learning opportunities for people of all ages. As an added bonus, this section is free! I highly recommend visiting because it seems as though there is something for everyone!

Fantastische Erfahrung: The history of Loveland and most of the museum is free. It's adorable, I love how they layed it out. Huge topographical map upstairs! There's a $7 admissions fee to an art gallery in the same building which is neat. They also have a downstairs for a kids art gallery which was so cute. The lady at the front was very nice (I think her name was Jennifer, but I may be wrong)

The historical exhibits really bring life in Loveland to life, the interpretive signage is actually helpful and fun, and the art is awesome! Definitely a must see if you have an hour or two to explore!
