Vista de Interlaken y Jungfrau - (William England 1863 ubicación - estéreo n°79)

Experiencia positiva: 150 years ago, this must have been a breathtaking spot where to look at the sunset fading away watching it slide down the Jungfrau until dark with some good French wine. Then, as Hegel says in his journal through the Alps, Unterseen and Interlaken were just small towns with some wooden huts not worth seeing. But things have changed immensely and today Interlaken, together with Lucerne, is one of the two main tourist hotspots of Switzerland. Anyway, from this viewpoint today there is little to see as stingy and scratchy wild plants have overgrown the area and you can't really access it. (I did and by chance got to join in with the locals having a BBQ) The view is less beautiful than it looks on William England's stereo, too much overgrowth of plants and "human settlements". But the walk down the Aare is relaxing, enchanting and lovely to enjoy a beer.
