Experiencia positiva: Bonito pequeño museo, pero el hombre en la recepción que nos dio nuestras entradas era horriblemente racista. En la conversación de 5 minutos que tuvimos, comenzó a contarnos cómo creció en Luton, pero no regresa porque hay demasiadas personas negras. Soy consciente de que esto no es culpa del museo, pero deberían ser informados.

Experiencia fantástica: Bueno, vale la pena visitarlo y muestra a los visitantes una breve historia de Margate. Solo es una pena que no se permitan tomar fotos, y tienden a seguirte para asegurarse de que no lo hagas. Si la gente pudiera ver lo increíble que es.

Experiencia positiva: Very interesting visit. Shame about the gentleman on the desk as we entered who was rude and full of his own importance. Felt like turning around and leaving. Could have ruined our experience but the other volunteers’ kindness and knowledge made up for this. Not sure what his problem was?

Experiencia positiva: No photos are allowed inside the eclectic mix of exhibits set in a former police station and magistrates court. It includes information about the wars, local sandals, and entertainment in the local area.

Experiencia fantástica: We visited Margate museum today and what can we say wow! What an amazing experience, the displays are interesting and informative however what really made it for us were the guys inside. The staff were so friendly and were full of extra information and interesting facts about not only the things on display but Margate itself. This has been the highlight of our whole trip. We would 100 percentage recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: I wish they could get funding....it's a brilliant little gem, with masses of history, knowledgeable guides and assistants. It's just that it needs a smart revamping of signage and displays. It's in the heart of the town and has a wealth of information about every aspect. The cells on the ground floor are cram packed with pictures and information, the passages are crowded with more, the stairs up-to the court room packed with pictures and texts. The court room itself has information on everything from archaeological pit excavations to suffragettes and Cobb's Brewery. Give them money for a proper museum building and leave this place as a historic Police Station and Court Room. Otherwise very interesting, I'm just trying to be helpful and give feedback.

Experiencia positiva: Très chouette petit musée sur la ville de Margate (prison, justice, station balnéaire, ...). Le personnel est adorable. Accès impossible en chaise roulante ou poussette. Prix: 2£ (couplé avec la maison tudor).

Experiencia fantástica: Lovely little tardis... looks tiny from the outside but in the inside, there is so much to see. Margate is a town with a lot of history, from brewing to banking, sailing to sea water bathing. Could spend a good day at least wandering round the exhibits.

Experiencia fantástica: The Margate Museum is a wonderful local history museum (the building of the Old Town Magistrates Court and the Police Station). It is definitely worth a visit for first time Margate explorers and also for residents with his unique exhibits from the early days to the modern world. Particularly worthy of mention is the museum staff with his wonderful authentic stories about the history of Margate and the unique building. Do not miss the opportunity to visit it as often as possible.

Experiencia positiva: The volunteers who staff this museum are absolutely wonderful, a wealth of local knowledge and amusing tidbits. You could spend hours in here or just dip in to get a feel for what Margate's all about, either way a great place to better understand the elements that make up the English seaside town.
