Museo de Milford Haven

Experiencia positiva: Un museo encantador que celebra la historia de Milford Haven. Exposiciones fascinantes con algunas exhibiciones interactivas también para niños. Superb modelos de barcos y una visión de la herencia industrial de esta ciudad de Pembrokeshire. El personal era muy amable, feliz de charlar y muy conocedor. Recomiendo encarecidamente una visita si estás en la zona.

Experiencia fantástica: Spent a while here to kill some time and escape the vicious wind on the waterfront. Lovely welcoming and helpful staff who relieved us of the entrance fee in such a charming way, we barely noticed. Dog friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent museum, lots of interesting features and artefacts relating to Milford Haven past and present. The staff know everything there is to know about Milford Haven port and it’s history. Well worth a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: I called in briefly before lunch but my main visit was, as planned, later in the afternoon. I was welcomed by Christine and John, the latter of whom has an extensive knowledge of local history. What immediately caught my eye was a chairlift to help people with mobility issues to reach the upper floor. I tested it and later used it twice in earnest. I would otherwise have struggled to walk DOWN those stairs. I tagged onto a group of people who had just come in and were listening intently to what John had to say. I was allowed to leave my shopping bag and my coat downstairs during my visit. Although it is only a small place, there are a lot of items on display. The layout is easy to follow but pathways are narrow in places. For me the museum was as full of surprises as Milford Haven is, itself. Not doing justice to the place I chose it because it was accessible by train and I hadn't visited it beforehand. It came as a lovely surprise. There are some lovely shop names along the waterfront.

Experiencia fantástica: Superb volunteer run museum documenting the history of Milford Haven set over two floors in this historic building near to the marina. The museum includes comprehensive (if a little dated) displays on the local fishing industry and the oil refineries, as well as other displays on a variety of other local subjects. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the museum includes a small gift shop and an audio tour.

Experiencia fantástica: We have the best day in the museum ever! The gentleman who guided us was so kind, patient, knowledgeable and amazing! Our two children did lots of art, watched very interesting documentary movies and had fun taking pictures dressing up as sailors, cuptains and fisherman. We spend the whole morning in there and leave only because we were hungry ready to have some lunch on the Marina. At the end we purchased some nice books from the little shop in the museum for the children to read in the car.Thank you very much for such a great time in your museum! We loved it! The Black family

Experiencia fantástica: Gerald and Stephen were brilliant, enthusiastic and most knowledgeable.Fantastic family time. This is a real gem and a must visit. Biggest bonus was that there was a stair lift available to go upstairs. Highly recommend this to add to one of your days out no more than 90 minutes needed.

Experiencia fantástica: A beautiful well thought and laid out museum. Highlighting the history of the local area through its shipping exploits, the Great War and the local oil industry of which the rest of the UK relies so much on. The exhibits are excellent and who ever did the model ships should be praise highly they are a work of art themselves. There is a little gift shop by the entrance and there is an electric stair lift to take you up to the first floor if you have mobility issues. Face masks good idea as enclosed space and protects the staff. Well worth the £4 entry fee.

Experiencia fantástica: I have to give e them props for a passionate museum of local history. It was great to talk to the staff who were knowledgeable and friendly. We did the tour and stayed talking with them for an hour after. A proud town and proud museum.
