Guernsey Museum & Art Gallery

Experiencia positiva: £6.50 each for entry. But it includes entry to the Victoria Tower Memorial, which was worth it on its own. Museum and gallery were a bonus. Beware the coffee shop, it's expensive, in my view. Otherwise well worth a visit. Would go again

Experiencia positiva: Very nice museum, concentrating on local art and history. Also shows exhibitions by local artists. All through the summer there are free outdoor concerts at 3pm. Check out the list at the museum. There is a small cafeteria, serving snacks and drinks. Situated in Candie gardens, it has lovely views across the town and harbour, and the lower gardens are very pretty.

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic museum, they always have interesting displays. Usually there is a local artist or similar in one of the rooms, another topical display in another of the rooms and then a permanent exhibit of local history and folklore with an art gallery of paintings through the ages. The gift shop has a nice variety of local crafts as well as the usual tourist gifts, and there's a cafe with beautiful views over the gardens and harbour that serves fantastic cake!!

Experiencia positiva: Didn't actually visit museum but had tea and cake in the cafe which was v good. Great views from terrace. Also impressed by lower Candie gardens. V pleasant place to sit & enjoy the sun. Some great exotic plant specimens and a particularly lovely Ginko tree.

Experiencia positiva: Lovely, little but really interesting museum well worth some time. It’s cafe has amazing views, lovely staff and excellent food. A perfect place for a pit stop.
