Experiencia fantástica: Un personaje poco conocido de la historia de Black Country vivió aquí en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. Poco conocido porque su historia es 'la historia del metodismo americano'. Los metodistas americanos de hoy visitan para recordarlo. Fue uno de los muy pocos ingleses que se le permitió quedarse en América durante la Guerra Civil. Conoció a George Washington. Nunca tuvo un hogar propio, pasó su vida en la carretera, construyendo la iglesia americana desde 1771. Una gran historia de Black Country.

Experiencia positiva: this 17th century cottage was the boyhood home of one Francis Asbury who ended up being one of the first bishops of one of the early Methodist Churches in the United States... he was there when the USA became independent & to be fair he seems better known in the States (where there is a statue of him in Washington) then in the West Midlands these days... the cottage is now a museum, but it's opening times are very limited & I think if you're going as a group you need to make an appointment first...
