El Museu do Brinquedo es un encantador espacio en Funchal, ideal para los amantes de los juguetes y coleccionistas de miniaturas. Cuenta con salas dedicadas a antiguas colecciones de coches, Lego, muñecas y mucho más, lo que lo convierte en un lugar fascinante para revivir la nostalgia de la infancia. Sin embargo, se ha reportado que el museo a veces está cerrado y la entrada, que cuesta 5 euros, se considera cara por algunos visitantes.

Experiencia fantástica: O Museu do Brinquedo é um espaço maravilhoso para quem gosta de brinquedos e principalmente miniaturas! Uma das salas é exclusiva para carrinhos, e tem desde aqueles mais antigos até os mais novos assim como carros de competição. Também tem salas com brinquedos antigos, Lego, bonecas e mais. Recomendo. Em 18.10.22 o preço é de 5 euros por pessoa. Obs: a entrada está sendo feita pela rua de trás da indicada no mapa.
Experiencia negativa: Está fechado e valeu a simpatia da loja ao lado a dizer que estão a mudar de sítio...

Experiencia fantástica: Hemos ido con dos niños menores de 7 y les ha encantado. Es increíble que una sola persona haya conseguido juntar tantos juguetes a lo largo de los años. Es un piso entero de juguetes, con una habitación entera de coches, otra de legos y otra de muñecas, entre otras.

Experiencia fantástica: We were fortunate enough to get a private tour from the owner who was an absolute gent. Lots of rooms filled to the brim with toys from many eras. Everything is beautifully organised and displayed, with many items being from the owner's own childhood which adds an extra layer of charm to the whole place. If you have a spare afternoon or morning in Funchal, do yourself a favour and take a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Madeira Island is the Pearl of the Atlantic most gorgeous island the most beautiful flowers that live there. The rich salty ocean ,that calls you into the arms of the Atlantic,the salty ocean just calls you and embraces your body with its rich color of blue and you lay on your back and let the ocean rock you into relaxation oh so relaxing and then there is these channels of water called the ( Levadas) they are chanels where the water is carried from one village to another. There are miles of these levada where you can arrange a picnic with your family or friends and walk for as long as you would like, then have a break and have a lunch Madeira style a( espetada ) which is meat cut into cubes put into a spit and the meat is caressed with rock salt fresh bay leaves crushed and butter put over a fire until its done and you take a (pao de casa) fresh buns ,you take the meat and put it into the buns with a gorgeous bottle of home made bottle of red wine mmm so good. Now you are well rested and I think ready to finish that days long walk. MADEIRA has lots of beautiful fresh fruits and the most beautiful flowers. Then in.the evening.you go to the old part of Funchal and you find a beautiful restaurant and you have a gorgeous dinner menu serenaded by the Famous Fado music that brings tears to your eyes most beautiful evening you have ever embraced.. Your day has.been fulfilled like you have not experienced before. You are now relaxed and ready to go home,with the grand memory of Madeira.

Experiencia fantástica: Well laid out and comprehensive collection. Pure nostalgia and memories of childhood longing. Could do with a permanent staff on site though. Buying tickets from a shop nearby and finding your own way round was a bit confusing at first.

Experiencia positiva: Voltar ao mundo da infância e de todo o nosso imaginário, obriga a uma visita a este museu com funcionários muito solícitos e agradáveis. Gostei também especialmente de cariz social, pois paralelamente ao museu, funcionam outros espaços, onde alunos podem trocar manuais escolares usados por outros, ainda que já algo desatualizados. A vertente de restauro de mobiliário, considero uma ideia interessante, pois muitos de nós poderíamos encontrar peças interessantes. Obrigada pela gentileza da nossa anfitriã que nos convidou a visitar este local.

Experiencia fantástica: Niesamowite muzeum. Tysiące zabawek z różnych lat, stron świata i bajek. Znajdziesz tu wspomnienia z dzieciństwa i cudeńka z czasów naszych dziadków jak również setki inspiracji czym się bawić z dzieckiem teraz. Zero zwiedzających, bardzo miła i pomocna obsługa znająca wiele ciekawostek na temat konkretnych eksponatów. Gorąco polecam!

The items go back a century of so, mainly demonstrating two periods in the toy industry - early toys with strong branding (ex. Matchbox cars) or licensing (WB, Hannah-Barbera) ; the rest is more contemporary, offering some Star Wars, LEGO and TMNJT nostalgia for the 30year-olds of today.
Experiencia positiva: Ein Besuch lohnt sich – wenn man das Museum nicht übersieht. Es ist nämlich nicht gut beschildert. Da praktisch jeder Gast in Funchal auch den Markt als Ziel hat, sollte man einfach, gleich hinter dem Markt, in einer Gasse, auch einmal das Spielzeug-Museum besuchen. In der oberen Etage des Hauses hat ein Privatmann, José Manuel Borges Pereira, seine Sammlung von über 20 000 Stücken zur Ansicht ausgestellt. Also, ich habe so viele Spielsachen aus meiner Kindheit wiederentdeckt. Herrlich, man möchte am liebsten noch einmal damit spielen. Sollte man sich anschauen. Die Ausstellungstücke sind in sieben Räumen untergebracht. Derzeitige Öffnungszeiten: täglich von 10-18 Uhr. Sonntags ist geschlossen.
