Experiencia fantástica: Recorre la vida de los colonos de West Kelowna desde los primeros tiempos hasta la década de 1930. Caminarás por el hogar de personas de este tiempo. Se presta especial atención a los Primeros Pueblos y se destaca que el Museo del Patrimonio Snecwips (ubicación separada) está completamente dedicado al pueblo de las Primeras Naciones Sylix.

Experiencia fantástica: We loved it! They have a scavenger hunt for kids and if they complete it they get to pick a prize at the end. It give such a wonderful glance into the past and they have some really neat stuff. They also have an interactive area for kids to dig for treasures and a place for kids to write with chalk. All in all very cool!

Experiencia fantástica: Our homeschool group booked a tour with Jeremiah. He was very well educated on the okanagan history and told us many stories. He was patient and fun with the kids and he took his time and made sure to show us every room. It was great and we will definitely make it a yearly field trip.

Experiencia fantástica: Great Museum, with excellent knowledgeable staff. Friendly warm and inviting, as you can enjoy a tour on the spot the 1st original trading post in the Okanagan. This is truly a hidden gem to be explored in West Kelowna. Admission is by donation, so it is great value for your family.

Experiencia fantástica: Didn't go in the museum, had lunch at the Wicked Chef. Delicious, fresh quality at fast food prices. Famous flavors from around the world. Gorgeous views from this peaceful venue (inbetween the highways!) Green grass, trees and shaded seating.

Hi Ryan! Thanks for your review - yes, we wish the model sawmill worked too! I'm hoping to have a meeting with the saw filers who have helped run it in the past to see what we need to do to get it working. Regrettably, none of our staff have the proper training to operate the sawmill. We need professionals from Gormans Mill to volunteer to run it. Experiencia fantástica: I love small.town museums the best. From coast to coast Canada they house some of the most unique artifacts. That being said this one is really all about the turn of the century lots of neat donated items. I visited with my mother who even recognized and reminisced with some of the objects. Lindsay took us to the fur trappers cabin, she was very kind and knowledgeable. All in all a great stop. I love the history of the area!

Experiencia fantástica: Good idea to incorporate a museum with a visitor center and made our stop in Westbank (West Kelowna) a little more interesting. The bathrooms were inside the Museum. Friendly staff that day and they had all the information, as requested. We could have sent hours here with very good displays and description. Thanks .....

Experiencia positiva: Lovely helpful staff. Fascinating memorabilia from generous local donors. Although some items are under glass, others are out where visitors can touch them, making the experience more personal, especially for children.
