🗣️ Museo Nacional de Gibraltar: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent displays, very informativ
Experiencia fantástica: The museum is small but packs a punch - there are lots to explore and the Neanderthal reproductions are amazing!
Experiencia fantástica: Definitely worth more than Five Stars. Superb museum covering Gibraltar through thousands and thousands of years. Audio visual presentations are first class, photographic records superb and archaeological finds are priceless. Entrance fee is ridiculously low, could easily be double and still worth every penny. It is a pity that the Heritage Society doesn't produce a book containing reproductions of the historical black and white photo's on display. I have no doubt it would sell and raise money towards the future work of the society. No visitor to Gibraltar should miss a visit here.
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent place to learn about the history of the peninsula, well worth a visit
Experiencia fantástica: I was here on 30th of September and was delighted by the very, very, very friendly and very, very, very funny staff member in the entrance area, who explained to me in a very, very friendly and very humorous way that I was not allowed to take a photo of the Neanderthal and me :-) The conversation with the employee was absolutely great and if I had a job to give, I would give this woman any job immediately :-) She was fantastic! :-) Many, many thanks for this special and very positive holiday experience :-) Best regards from Germany!
Experiencia fantástica: Surprisingly large! Entry was cheap at £5. Full history of gibraltar from neolithic remains to 20th century. Nice Moor Bath House remains in the cellar of the museum. The only thing which needs to be improved is better descriptions in the international exhibit room. They have a WW2 japanese officers sword simply labelled as 'katana'. Good for around 1-2 hours max.
Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting. A nice history of the Rock
Experiencia fantástica: Fascinating place with really interesting things to view about the history of Gibraltar.Highly recommended.
Experiencia fantástica: Small but fascinating. The remains of the Moor bath house are fantastic
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent presentation of the multi-tapered history of Gibralta
Experiencia fantástica: Nice little museum with some really interesting stuff to look at, friendly staff, peaceful location
Experiencia fantástica: Well organised and documented museum Definitely worth the £5
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent. Well worth a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Been to Gib a few times but first time visiting the museum. It was a great experience!
Experiencia positiva: A small but interesting museum that shows the city's history from prehistorical times to WW2. It also has some baths from the Muslim period and a massive collection of ships in the top floor. The tickets are a bit expensive, though. Also, taking pictures and recording isn't allowed inside the museum.
Experiencia positiva: Fair priced small Museum offering a quiet retreat from the hustle & bustle of Main Street. Star attraction is the Moorish Bath remains. You have the option of turning your £5 ticket into an £8 one which gives you access to the Gorham’s Cave viewing platform (only when they open it). Wasn’t sure of my itinerary so I passed the opportunity.
Experiencia fantástica: You can spend around an hour or so if you take your time or maybe 30 mins if less interested. Entry is cheap there's a slightly more expensive ticket that also gets you entry to a cave or something. Lots of interesting historical artifacts and displays to get an insight to Gibraltar. Friendly staff and nice museum.
Experiencia fantástica: Hadn’t visited the place for 18 years. Only part I didn’t like was not to be able to take photos as I think that with the craze of social media it might encourage more locals to visit
Experiencia fantástica: Well worth the £5 entry fee. Very interesting ang informative.
Experiencia fantástica: Great museum both for the artefacts it contains and for the building itself, with the Moorish baths in the basement and archaeological site in the garden. Exhibits range from the fascinating Neanderthal history of Gibraltar through to ethnographic and eclectic.
Experiencia fantástica: Fascinating place if you like trains easy access everywhere plenty for young and old to see and d
Experiencia fantástica: Really great museum. A lot of things Gibraltar related but also random facts about nature. Great amount if information on Gibraltar during the wars and a massive miniature (what a contradiction) of The Rock
Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting, lots of information on the history and nature of Gibraltar. Definitely make time for a visit while you’re on The Rock!
Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting Museum, lots to see, well worth a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Definitely worth the 5£ for the tour. I spent about an hour going through the museum. Worth the visit in my opinion.
Experiencia fantástica: It is much bigger than it looks on the outside with plenty of exhibits on different parts of Gibraltar's history to keep you amused. I particularly enjoyed the life sized models of the Neanderthals that greet you at the entrance, and the reconstruction of the Muslim baths.
Experiencia fantástica: Loved it great place to show history of The Rock. You have to go if visiting Gibraltar, don't miss it.
Experiencia fantástica: Well worth a visit if you are in the area Good presentation of local history informative and entertaining
Experiencia fantástica: Very good and nice staff well worth the entrance fee there is a lot to see especially the Neanderthal era and skulls from that period
Experiencia fantástica: Lovely little museum with very friendly and helpful staff.
Experiencia fantástica: Worth a visit, some things could be better explained but lots of interesting history.
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic place to visit well worth the ticket price with gorham caves. Down side your not allowed to take photos
Experiencia fantástica: Good presentation of collections and history of Gibraltar. The short film summarising the history of Gibraltar is a must for first-time visitors and the first thing to see before visiting the country, since it puts the sights in a historical context. There is a good selection of Gibraltar books for sale.
Experiencia fantástica: Interesting muséum full of information on the history of Gibraltar, price is correct but shame about the no camera rule.
Experiencia fantástica: Very good one. Would recommend to watch all the video in the begging of the tour.
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic museum taken on a journey from pre history through the siege of gibraltar to the second world war. Well worth a diversion of the high road
Experiencia fantástica: Not a huge place but lots of interesting exhibits and cool old photos of Gibralta
Experiencia fantástica: Some folks perhaps avoid museums, but this one is really cool and interesting. There was so much we have learned about history both ancient and more recent too. Multimedia presentations are a really great bonus and add up perfectly to the overall experience. Loved it!
Experiencia positiva: No visit to Gibraltar would be complete without a visit to its museum. The museum itself is a warren of small rooms and narrow passages to which you gain entry by paying a paltry £2 (in 2017). Poorly lit artifacts in varnished cabinets, more reminiscent of an 18th Century Victorian gentleman's collection in his private study, belie the importance of what is on view. It is a world apart from the modern museums you may have visited in various cities - and long may it remain so. The museum is as anachronistic as Gibraltar itself.
Experiencia fantástica: Very cool museum! Only costs £2 per person and is truly a must see in Gibraltar. You can get their this museum easily within 30-60 minutes. I would've have spent 90-120 minutes here but I entered near closing. My favorite exhibits were the Neanderthal, outdoor aquaducts site, and the Moorish bathhouse. There are also a few great videos with seeing. My only complaint is that they play on a continuous loop and do not give a run-time. Amazing museum for the money.
Experiencia fantástica: An excellent all around museum exploring many various areas of Gibraltar's rich history and culture. Exhibits include Neanderthals on the rock, the British and Moorish conquests and local wildlife. One of the true highlights was the beautifully preserved 13th century Moorish baths. Definitely worth a visit!
