🗣️ Museo Nacional de Arte Occidental: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: The experience is unique. There are different expos to visit. The museum is right next to the station which makes it really easy to commute. Recommended
Experiencia fantástica: One of the best place I’ve visited in very hot summer season. I can experienced many kinds of famous art. Especially, it’s free of charge for under 18.
Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful and nice design. It is a little bit crowded on Cultural Day.
Experiencia fantástica: This museum is the only building in Japan designed by Le Corbusier, the celebrated Swiss-French architect. It has now been beautifully restored as part of its listing as a World Heritage Site including dozens of his finest creations. Apart from architecture, the museum boasts a collection of hundreds of paintings from famous Western artists like Monet, Cezanne, Manet, Miro, Pollock and more. Entrance costs a reasonable 500 yen.
Experiencia fantástica: This museum showcases an expansive collection, and is absolutely worth a visit. It is also cost effective, unlike some museums that can be very expensive with $20-30 tickets. For the price, the location, and the many outstanding exhibits, definitely stop here.
Experiencia fantástica: Love the museum !! No words to describe!!
Experiencia fantástica: Reservation recommended Not sure …
Experiencia fantástica: The renovation is already done without disturbing the original design by Le Corbusier. The exhibition is really related to the architecture, neo classicism. The stunning of iighting and shadow is needed to be seen.
Experiencia fantástica: As an avid Unesco and architecture fan I really wanted to see the building. Unfortunately I did not have that much time, and preferred to see more Eastern-orientated museums; but the great thing of this one is that you can see quite a lot without having to buy a ticket. Even if you have limited time just marvel at Rodin's door, see the staircase inside and the model and explanations of this modern architecture gem.
Experiencia fantástica: It is a good art museum where the entrance fee of 500 yen is not a waste at all. I only saw permanent exhibitions this time. It took nearly three hours to see the permanent exhibition. There are many exhibition works, and the exhibition space is very large. Therefore, I recommend you to wear comfortable shoes when watching. If you visit on weekdays rather than weekends or holidays, you will be able to relax and concentrate. If I visit Tokyo next time, I want to visit again.
Experiencia fantástica: An amazing experience of art in Japan
Experiencia fantástica: I went to the museum to celebrate my niece 's success in her entrance exam for her high school. She enjoyed this museum.
Experiencia fantástica: Only building in Japan by the founding figure of modernism Le Corbusier. One of the architect’s 17 UNESCO sites. Decent collection including renaissance, impressionist and early modern works. A cafe in the back has a nice view of an interior courtyard.
Experiencia fantástica: Huge 15th century art selection, few og rodins too, highly recommend it.
Experiencia fantástica: While I’m not a huge fan of the some of the most recent renovations, Japan’s National Museum of Western Art remains one of my favorite museums anywhere. Unlike most museums in Japan, this museum allows guests to photograph many—not all, but many—of its most popular works. Famously designed by Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier, this museum’s design provides a unique and fascinating venue for the art within it. The design employs natural lighting in several spaces in a way that’s quite rare here in Tokyo. The museum’s tremendous collections are so vast that many of my favorite works are not always on display. You should definitely always check the museum’s website to double check the most current information to avoid any unnecessary disappointments.
Experiencia fantástica: Very nice collections and we were blessed to visit during special exhibition of Picasso ☺️
Experiencia positiva: Beautiful Art Museum Extremely friendly staff Free entrance over 65 years old
Experiencia fantástica: I didn't know that Corbusier was also an abstract painter! (Aug. 2022)
Experiencia fantástica: You can enjoy the ueno park and visit the museum too. Love this space!
Experiencia fantástica: The NMWA(National Museum of Western Art) is located right in Ueno Park in northeastern Tokyo. It was recognized as a World Heritage Site in 2016 as one of the works by Le Corbusier, the byname of Swiss architect Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris. It’s built as a token of good realtionship between Japan and Francw government. The NMWA is the only one of Le Corbusier's works in the Far East. Besides the building, the museum itself has a great collection, displaying works from famed artists including Cezanne, Rodin, Boudin, Renoir, van Gogh and Monet, among others. Wveryte I go there, I can feel different as It’s collection and display is changed regularly. That’s why this is one of my favorite place in Tokyo. 제2차 세계대전이 없었다면 지어지지 못했을 건물. 르네상스와 인상주의 작품들의 콜렉션이 좋다. 매주 2, 4번째 토요일은 무료관람으로 이용할 수 있다.
Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful collection of artworks by Western Artists by the first President of Kawasaki Dockyard, now Kawasaki Heavy Industrial. Love his principles and the stories of the artworks.
Experiencia fantástica: A museum not to be missed I'm lucky to visit Matsukata Collection which will end Sep. 23
Experiencia fantástica: This museum has a very comprehensive collection. It's a nice sized museum that one can enjoy at a leisurely pace of around 2 to 3 hours. The information panels contain English, so no worries if you don't understand Japanese. Went around 2.30pm and it was not too crowded. More for art lovers and adults as younger kids might find the place a little boring.
Experiencia fantástica: The place have a great permanent collection which also changes a little from time to time.
Experiencia fantástica: The regular fee for the collection is 500 yen for adults (would be cheaper for students) which is very reasonable because there are many things to see. its location is near the railway station and there are also other places to visit around it such as the zoo.
Experiencia fantástica: Free entry for regular exhibition on the 4th Saturday every month and open utill late evening.
Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful building by LE Corbusier. Cool exhibit. Is a must go if you are into architecture.
Experiencia fantástica: Special exhibition on Michelangelo's statues while permanent collection has many Monet and Rodin, and some Picasso, El Greco, Renoir, etc. Take 3 hours to enjoy including special exhibition.
Experiencia fantástica: Best museum of the three or so in Ueno Park. Great selection of western art and sculpture dating back to medieval times. Loved the Rodin exhibition
Experiencia fantástica: Worth a visit even if you don't go inside. The outside garden/courtyard is fantastic and also has many sculptures. It seems like it is busy all the time.
Experiencia fantástica: One of the best museums I’ve ever visited. Make sure you plan your time properly, you will need minimum 5 hours to see everything. Theatre 360 was awesome! All this just for 620 Yen. Respect.
Experiencia fantástica: Quiet, with a decent collection and usually has special exhibitions. Worth the visit if you love classical art or happen to be in Ueno.
Experiencia fantástica: You can see more than 50 beautiful spectacular art pieces in the permanent exhibition for cheap price including works for world famous artists like Paul Cezanne and Claude Monet!
Experiencia fantástica: A MUST visit place when you're in Tokyo, you can spent a day here to exploring other in Ueno park like zoo, museum, exhibition, street performance ect...
Experiencia fantástica: The core collection housed in this 1959 Le Corbusier-designed building, Japan’s only national museum devoted to Western art, was assembled by Kawasaki shipping magnate Matsukata Kojiro in the early 1900s. Considering that the collection was begun so recently, it was surprisingly good, ranging from 15th-century icons to Monet to Pollock.
