🗣️ Museo del Automóvil Toyota: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: It’s a great place to get a motivation for life. As well as you can experience how to build the Toyota cars. You have to spend at least 5 hours to visit the entire museum. On the outskirts of Nagoya City in Nagakute is the magnificent Toyota Automobile Museum, dedicated to the history of motoring and the influence of cars in our culture. The museum opened on April 16, 1989 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Toyota Motor Corporation. Over 120 cars from all eras of the motoring age are on stunning display in the Automobile Gallery. Not just Toyota, but American and European automobiles, too. Many different and famous brands are represented: Mercedes Benz, Ford, Mazda, Porsche, Subaru, Rolls Royce, De Soto, Volkswagen, even little Isuzu to name just a few. Vehicles produced from the beginning of the automobile age up to the 1950s are displayed on the second floor, while vehicles from the 1950s to the present fill the third floor. The building is oval shaped, like a race circuit, with visitors walking the course, surrounded by many exciting and beautiful vehicles. Even non-motor enthusiasts are impressed by the scale, range and beauty of the cars. Highlights include a classic fire engine red 1955 Ford Thunderbird with white walled tires and President Roosevelt’s 12 cylinder Packard Twelve, the first car to be armor plated and contain bulletproof glass. There’s a rare bright red and gold trim 1910 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, over 100 years old, but looking like it’s just rolled off the assembly line. See an early Toyoda Model AA from 1939, an open top 1965 E-Type Jaguar, even a pink Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz with the Batmobile-like wings and tons of blinding chrome. All the cars are in spotless condition, and 98% are original. To coincide with the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Toyota Automobile Museum, the Cultural Gallery opened a new permanent exhibition, “Automobile Culture Showroom.” Under the theme “Mobility as Culture,” approximately 4,000 cultural artifacts are on display, including miniature cars, car badges, posters, and more related to both domestic and international automobiles. There is also a Special Exhibition Room which presents various exhibits throughout the year. If you tire of looking at the cars, (and that will take some time) or if you need re-hydrating after drooling over the vehicles, take a break in the Museum Cafe "Cars & Books" or the relaxing Museum Restaurant "AVIEW," with views overlooking the old Nagakute Battlefield. Let the kids play in the Kids Garage, or stop by the Museum Shop with over 500 miniature cars and original souvenirs. The Toyota Automobile Museum is not just for car fans. Men and women, young and old, it doesn’t matter, the range and selection in this expansive museum has something for everybody.
Experiencia fantástica: If you like cars, good to go.
Experiencia fantástica: 5 stars for the air conditioning. Cool cars. Reminded me of America.
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent museum which showcases the evolution of Toyota from a cloth weave machine manufacturer to the powerhouse automobile manufacturer it is today. The museum recreates how the founder Toyoda moved from automated loom machines to robotic car manufacturing. Well worth the visit. You can complete the visit in an hour or two which makes it a great short visit to escape the summer heat. You can get a discount for entry if you buy the Me-guru pass from the bus station.
Experiencia fantástica: An amazing museum - not only for Toyota vehicles but for cars in general. It displayed basically all key car models in history from all brands for how cars have evolved and developed (of course, with more Toyota cars). It could be worth a day in this museum. The staff was really nice as well.
Experiencia fantástica: It’s worth the trouble to spend about 1 hour and 15 mins from Nagoya station to here. The car models range from 1890s to 20xx. Even if you are not a car enthusiast you will be intrigued by the fascinating and beautiful exhibitions.
Experiencia fantástica: Tons of cars from all over. To much to see advertisements to toy models
Experiencia fantástica: Car people will love this museum. History of all car brands and so many great cars to see. Spent 3 hrs here easy w my teenager. There is another Toyota Museum in Nagoya that has a factory with its textile beginnings up to modern auto building. See that one too.
Experiencia fantástica: Definitely the best historical car museum I have ever visited. It is not really a Toyota historical automobile museum, but it is really an "automobile historical museum." Probably 80% of the cars are other brands and 20% are Toyota that just document the evolution of the automobile. I was really surprised how many rare historical cars they had. On top of the large car collection, they have a memorabilia section of the museum that has a lot of model cars, model kits, magazines, posters, car emblems, etc. If you are a car fanatic and in the area, definitely try to make a visit to it. It is easy to get to from Nagoya city by train and only a short 5 min walk. A little confusing on how to walk there from the train station, but there is a walkway that goes to it.
Experiencia fantástica: Not difficult to get here by train. Its not just Toyota cars on exhibit here but cars from the beginning of the automotive Era. The cafe and gift shop is worth visiting as well.
Experiencia fantástica: Really nice museum with lots of cars featured not just Toyota brand. Love the food dessert in their cafe. ❤️
Experiencia fantástica: It's a nice collection of classic cars from all around the world!
Experiencia fantástica: The Toyota Automobile Museum is a must visit! Very good!
Experiencia fantástica: Awesome automotive museum for car lovers. Very well setup and exceptionally clean and neat. Many vintage and classics cars can be seen here. Suitable for everyone.
Experiencia fantástica: A real treasure trove of vehicles through out the history of the motorcar. Lovely staff and really well presented. Not just cars, thry have a huge collection of car memorbelia and books and magazines. Only car they had missing in my opinion is the toyota supra haha. Thanks.
Experiencia positiva: The Automobile Gallery has around 140 vehicles on display that tell the history of automobiles from their creation at the end of the 19th century to the present day. In the Cultural Gallery, you will find over 4,000 posters, car parts, car mascots, and other cultural materials related to automobiles on display in the Automobile Culture Showroom. Besides being full of materials on automobiles, the library also has a vehicle picture book room for children.
Experiencia fantástica: This place is less of a museum and more of a heaven for petrol heads. The collection of Automotive history here is truly staggering. The most impressive by far is the Bugatti 35B, a very famous racing car. In addition, seeing Colin McRae’s Impreza was also special for any Brits who grew up watching him race.
Experiencia fantástica: Enjoyed a lot to roam around this museum. I went on a Sunday afternoon expecting it to be slightly crowded but to my surprise it was not at all crowded. Enjoyed my time here by reading about each car displayed. Audio guides are also available for more precise information regarding the subjects. Very clean and helpful staff around there always looking to help you navigate all the different zones of the museum. Would definitely love to see some more cars in future!
Experiencia fantástica: A collection of fantastically maintained cars from the dawn of automobiles to present day can be found in this pantheon of automobile history. The Toyota Museum made a great effort to bringing cars from all over the world, even from their domestic competitors. What’s more incredible is that almost all of the cars on exhibit are still drivable. A must-visit site when visiting Nagoya area.
Experiencia fantástica: Excellent museum with cars from the very first Benz to the latest fuel-cell Toyota. Included amongst the many brands is President Roosevelt's bulletproof Packard, an early Rolls Royce, a Stanley Steamer, a Mercedes Gullwing 300SL, and do much more!
Experiencia fantástica: Wide range of cars If you are into cars it’s an exciting place to visit. If you aren’t into cars, you still get to learn lots of new stuffs including a history lesson in the development of automobile industry. Must visit, if you are in Nagoya.
Experiencia fantástica: Really great place to go to if you’re a car fanatic. Especially if you love cars from all eras. However there is a lack of cars from after 2000. But the cars on display here are amazing and rare cars, some gorgeous cars are here, the gull wing merc, thunderbird, Mazda cosmos are just 3 of the many cars here. Really worth trip and cost. Spent: 3 hours h
Experiencia fantástica: A must visit if you’re in Nagoya, Japan. If you’re a car enthusiast this is the place to be. It’s huge and filled with automobile history with a fine collection of cars from all over the world. And it’s not just Toyotas. It’s everything the automotive industry has ever gone through.
Experiencia fantástica: If you think this museum is just about Toyota automobiles, well you will be surprised because it actually showcases non Toyota automobiles that made siginificant impacts on automobile history. I really had a wonderful time here. The museum paid homage to the roots of Toyota and it's progression there on to what it is today. There are couple of restaurants inside as well so you can grab a bite without ever leaving the premises. Parking is not an issue at all since there is plenty. If you do ever get the chance, please do visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Amazing sight to see . Had a great time Staff is super cool and helpful✈️ Clean Well organized Parking is free The cars are amazing The staff takes great pride and care of the display and preservation of the collection. The collection has many rare and important parts of automotive history. Great for date night or families. So many great cars to see Great efforts are taken to show every detail correctly. Small museum can be seen in 6 hours. ⏲️ Great display space that is well lite and laid out. The museum campus is beautiful and works well with nature
Experiencia fantástica: Cool museum showing the history of the evolution of the automobile. It features vehicles from various auto makers and outlines each vehicles unique factors as well as production dates.
Experiencia fantástica: This large museum is devoted to the history of cars. There are many different cars from all sorts of brands, not just Toyota. I loved the short films of staff driving some of the cars. If you are a fan of old cars, plan to spend a few hours. The museum was not crowded, which made it easy to enjoy the cars.
Experiencia fantástica: I made a stop in Nagoya for one night just for the museum (and the Toyota factory tour), and it was totally worth it. Where do I begin? The museum has an amazing assortment of interesting cars from each decade. So many brands and models are represented (see pics). Gull-wing 300SL? Check. Cosmo Sport? Yup. Pink Cadillac? Yes. An Isetta? Sure, why not. It even has a Tucker! The museum recently opened a new wing that houses automobile-related memorabilia such as hood ornaments, posters, and models. In addition, it has periodic live demos of the cars. The environment is inviting, welcoming you to appreciate and enjoy each car. Even though some, if not most, of the cars are worth millions, they are only cordoned off with low-slung ropes. Probably unique to Japan: Instead of intimidating security guards, there are young women in uniform at each floor, who answer questions, unobtrusively keep an eye out for misbehaving visitors, and gently step out of the way when you take pictures. Given the low price of the admission, it’s as if Toyota is running the museum as public service, to share their passion in automobiles. Great job!
Experiencia fantástica: There are more than hundred cars available for viewing that remarks the history of automotive evolution since early 1900. Unless you are not in love with automotive, this place would be a very great place to visit. Take the linimo train (maglev) from Fujigaoka and it will be very good experience too. Highly recommended.
Experiencia fantástica: I thought there would just be Toyota cars but actually much more. Totally worth the time visiting and endorsing yourself in the automotive appreciation! Ranging from 1900s to the latest car models. Quite a collection of cats really. Parking is easy and getting here is a breeze by car.
Experiencia fantástica: The museum does not only exhibit toyota cars. There are so many cars from the first internal combustion car by Karl Benz and until about 2012 Lexus LFA. If you like cars you should definitely come to this museum and spend at least 1.5 hrs. The museum is located quite far from the city. I spent 590 JPY for one way transport from Nagoya Sta. And 1000 JPY for museum admission.
Experiencia fantástica: A must place to visit while in Nagoya. Even though the name is Toyota automobile museum, it also include all other vehicles brands and models. It also tells the history of automobile from all around the world. If you are a car lover this is the place you should go!
