Experiencia fantástica: 展示作品数がとても多いので、２時間から3時間は時間を確保したいです。企画展示を中心に見るなら１時間半で、通常展示は歩きながらチラ見でなんとか、な感じ。展示室内には充分にベンチが配置されていますが、館内でゆっくり休憩する場所は無いため、一旦外に出なければならないけれど、外の足湯などでコーヒーなど飲むことができます。

Experiencia fantástica: Extremely impressive museum, did not expect the quantity, quality and variety of things to see. The tickets are expensive, but justified. Together with the gardens and the footbath, it can easily turn into a whole-day thing. There’s even a restaurant! Highly recommended, was a fantastic way to spend a rainy day.

Experiencia fantástica: 伊藤若冲と田中一村の講演会に行ってきました。 陶磁器も素敵な作品が沢山あり、曽我蕭白さんの墨絵が凄かったです。館内見応え有りますが館内写真撮影が出来ず残念。入り口のロッカー(100円入れて後で戻ります)に荷物を預け手荷物ゲートを通ります。ネットで200円割引きと駐車券を受付で見せて無料でした。雨が降って来た為、お庭は次回行きたいと思いました。

Experiencia positiva: Extensive pottery ware from the Han Dynasty, Joseon era, and Edo period. Pottery lovers would love this place. No pictures allowed inside but it’s okay. After visiting the museum, take a soak outside at the Ashi-yu and enjoy a parfait while you are at it. Very enjoyable!

Experiencia fantástica: 箱根を代表する美術館の一つ。敷地は大きく分けて美術館と庭園の2つに構成されている。 美術館は、主に日本・中国・韓国の東アジアの美術品が展示されている。時代は紀元前のものから近現代のものまで幅広く、しかも展示数が極めて多い。展示品はいずれも一級品、もしくは歴史的に極めて価値のあるものばかりで、特に陶器や青磁を始めとする器類の展示は目を見張るものがある。説明も読まず簡単に展示品を鑑賞するだけでも、全ての展示品を鑑賞しきるのに2時間以上を要する。全ての展示品をじっくり鑑賞するには、その日1日を全て鑑賞に充てる必要があるかもしれない。タッチパネル式デバイスが随所に設けられ、日本語だけでなく英語・中国語・韓国語で展示品の説明を見ることが出来るが、そのデバイスは主要展示品のみが対象となっている。その他の展示品の説明は基本的に日本語のみであることに注意したい。 庭園はまるで森林の中を散策するような構成になっている。純和風の庭園というわけではないが、木々の葉擦れや水の音を聞きながらのんびり過ごすのに最適だ。傾斜を巧みに活用された庭園であり、随所に休憩用のベンチが用意されている。一方で水場が多いことから特に夏は蚊が発生しやすい。庭園を散策する際は長袖の服を着るなどの虫よけ対策が必要だ。 小涌谷駅から徒歩で行ける距離ではあるが、上り坂（一部では急）であるため、車もしくはバスで行く方がいいかもしれない。美術館内はエレベーター・エスカレーター完備で、車椅子等の障碍を持つ方でも自由に利用できるが、美術館前の道路から美術館の入り口に至るまでの道が急な坂道となっており、車椅子の方は補助が必要になると思う。庭園は前述の通り傾斜があり小径は凸凹しているため、障碍を持つ方の利用はお勧めできない。なお、美術館内は撮影禁止で、撮影できるデバイスは一切持ち込むことが出来ない。チケット売り場では空港の保安検査並みの手荷物検査が行われており、撮影できるデバイスは全てコインロッカーに収納しなければならない。 This is one of the representative art museums in Hakone. The site is divided into two main sections: the art museum and the garden. The art museum exhibits mainly East Asian art works from Japan, China, and Korea. The exhibits range from B.C. to modern and contemporary art, and are extremely numerous. The exhibits are all first-class or historically valuable, and the pottery, celadon and other vessels are particularly impressive. Even without reading the explanations, it would take more than two hours to go through the entire exhibition. If you want to see all the exhibits in detail, you may need to devote an entire day to it. There are touch-screen devices throughout the art museum that provide explanations of the exhibits in English, Chinese, and Korean as well as Japanese, but these devices are only for the main exhibits. The explanations for the other exhibits are basically in Japanese only. The garden is structured as if you were strolling through a forest. It's not a purely Japanese-style garden, but it is a perfect place to relax while listening to the rustling of leaves and the sound of water. The garden makes good use of the slope, and there are benches everywhere for resting. On the other hand, mosquitoes are likely to occur, especially in summer, due to the many water features. When strolling in the garden, it is necessary to wear long-sleeved clothes to protect yourself from insects. Although it is within walking distance from Kowakudani Station, it is an uphill walk (steep in some parts), so it may be better to go by car or bus. The museum is equipped with elevators and escalators, and can be freely used by wheelchairs and other disabled visitors, but the path from the road in front of the museum to the entrance of the museum is a steep slope, and wheelchair users may need assistance. As mentioned earlier, the garden is sloped and the paths are uneven, so it is not recommended for visitors with disabilities. Photography is not allowed in the museum, and no devices that can take pictures are allowed to be brought into the museum. Experiencia fantástica: The admission fee is a bit high, but there are many things to see inside the museum and you can also enjoy the foot bath.

Experiencia fantástica: I hesitated to visit this museum for years because of its high admission fee and rather draconian no-camera policy, but I’m so glad I finally did! The exhibition space over five floors is quite large, much bigger than similar museums like the MOA in Shizuoka; the artworks are beautifully presented and feature representatives works from many notable figures in Japanese art. Not only do I feel the admission fee was justified, I would even go so far as to say I agree with the camera policy since the works as presented are so beautiful that people would take pictures of every single one. Highly recommend!

Experiencia fantástica: A great collection of china, folding screen, paintings, clay figures. Admission fee is 2800 yen. I thought it was a bit high but it was worth it! I spent 2 hours there. Smart phones and cameras are not allowed.

Experiencia fantástica: ここに行くべき点を幾つか挙げます。展示品が多くて急いで見ても2時間はかかるけどあきないし勉強になる、説明書きが簡潔でタメになります。つぎは足湯、普通なら飲食禁止でしょうがここはむしろ食べながら入るのを推奨してるよう、コーヒーフロート食べながらの足湯は最高でした、因みに美術館入場の方は足湯無料。次は食事処開化亭、ボリュームあるうどんを庭園眺めながら食べるのは何とも贅沢、庭園見ながらならカウンターがオススメ。最後はトイレ、紫外線の殺菌で安心トイレ、この時期ですからウイルス対策が行き届き万全の体制です。日曜日なのに第一駐車場に止められ、ゆったり芸術鑑賞し勉強にもなり、素晴らしい庭園で食事満喫して、足湯で箱根の温泉まで楽しめるのに、密が避けられるこの場所は本当に素晴らしい！

Experiencia fantástica: セキュリティーが しっかりしていて 驚きました。 自分は docomoのdトラベルの 遊ぶ の枠で 岡崎美術館がヒットし 2550円と幾らかお安く入場。因みにこの日は 濃霧でビビりながらも 無事到着出来ました。駐車場にもガードマンが配置されており 親切です。 館内はネット環境がイマイチなので 電子チケットは 入り口を入る前に準備しましょう！そして 受け付けに見せます。 いざ入館、館内は5階までありますが 薄暗いと感じる方が多いかもしれません。 広くてかなり見やすいです。 ワンフロアごと 出口のドアがあるので、 出たらエスカレーターで上に上がって行く感じです。 金屏風は 最高に美しく必見です！ 内容は上野には負けますが 全然 良いな！と思えました。 5階から庭に降りれ、庭園を巡れるみたいでした。自分は時間が無く 行けませんでしたが、お食事？もあるようでした。良さげ。 私はポーラ美術館より こちらの方が 印象的で好きです。 見学後の足湯も5時まで入れるし 高いけど内容が良いので 後悔はしませんでしたよ タオルをお忘れなく！ セキュリティーが しっかりしていて 驚きました。 自分は docomoのdトラベルの 遊ぶ の枠で …

Experiencia fantástica: An expensive museum but worth it. The 2 floors of several centuries of Japanese painting was enough to satisfy me. You can get a tea or coffee and enjoy the warm foot bath. It is a treat after several hours of walking.

Experiencia fantástica: An impressive collection that could rival the one in the National Museum in Tokyo. The tickets are pricy, but you can get a discount with Odakyu freepass or coupons that should be available in hotels or convenience stores.

Experiencia fantástica: Splendid collection. The entry is not cheap but I thought it was worthy every penny considering the quality of the artworks and the museum design itself. There is undoubtly a high cost in getting these pieces on display for us. Well done! Allow at least 2 hours. Sadly we had no time for the foot bath and lunch/tea.
