Experiencia fantástica: Surreal. My favourite museum in the world! No photos allowed inside the exhibit but the surrounding area is just as gorgeous. Highly recommend biking from the Port to the museum!

Experiencia fantástica: The best art installation I've ever been to. Don't let the other reviewers scare you off. If you need a reason to visit Teshima, this is it. Naoshima has more things to see, of course, but this one thing is better than Chichu and Benesse house combined.

Experiencia positiva: I do not believe this is a museum, I was surprised to see a very large installation that was impressive however you are not allowed to take photos or videos, or use your phone inside the art space... maybe it should be renamed to the Rei Nato x Ryuei Nishizawa art space or installation as this is only one artist/architect work so it is not a museum, a museum is a collection of works. I was quite disappointed for a generous fee of over 1,500 yen I am not sure it is worth going more than once and you can certainly get these gorgeous views elsewhere around Teshima, nonetheless you should try it once for yourself as it is grandeous however beware of the above and lower rating comments!

Experiencia fantástica: Definitely the to two art galleries I've ever been to in my life. Nothing but good things to say, highly recommend. Staff are also very friendly, out luggage was too big for the coin lockers so they just kept it behind the counter for us.

Experiencia fantástica: There are no any artworks here except the museum itself. Teshima Art Museum is an impressive artwork with the unique and peaceful atmosphere. It’s not allow to take photos inside the museum, but it’s OK to take pictures outside. In my personal thoughts, it’s totally worthy to visit this place even the ticket price isn’t cheap. You might be able to find the most relaxing moment here.

Experiencia fantástica: Wouldn't necessarily call this a museum per se, more like an building/art installation. Beautiful structure (architect: Ryue Nishizawa cofounder of SAANA) which shape emulates a pooled droplet of water. The art installation by Rei Naito (no pictures allowed inside, need to remove shoes before entering) consists of small droplets of water that are pumped from below the floor. The super smooth concrete floor is gently sculpted and sloped. The water drops slowly pool and flow toward drain holes. Hard to describe, fascinating to observe. Serene and peaceful.

Experiencia fantástica: This is definitely one of my favorite art museum by far. The whole building is the art....sitting inside is very comfortable and fun. I can stay there for a whole day for sure if I don’t have to rush back to return my e-bike. :( It is a must-go place if you plan to visit Teshima. And it worth all my hard works on riding on many hills to go there.

Experiencia fantástica: Beside the architecture itself, there’s nothing more than beads of water inside this museum. Yet you wouldn’t believe just those water droplets flowing freely around the space separating and rejoining one another would make you so emotional.

The Teshima Art Museum is one of the most interesting works I’ve visited, and allowed you to really feel connected to your surroundings and nature. Would definitely recommend for anyone in the area. Wasn’t allowed to take photographs inside, but even if we could, you really have to see it in real life to experience it fully. The cafe also had delicious donuts and soda using Teshima strawberries!!

Experiencia fantástica: Great natural rice fields and view to the sea. You should either take the bus to Art Museum-mae or ride an electric bike there. Leave your bags in coin lockers because small movements can create loud echoes inside. Only downside to this is that you can't take photos inside. But the water artwork is amazing. Sit for at least a few minutes to listen to the cicadas and birds. Great for meditation. ￥1030 entry fee ￥154 per postcard ￥510 for strawberry jam (if I remember correctly :)

Experiencia fantástica: Outstanding! We made a quick trip to the island just to go to the museum (Rented an electric bike from the Ieura port to zip across the island and back in under 2 hours). It was totally worth it to the visit the museum. After spending time on Noashima we didn't think we could be even more surprised but this museum is well worth a visit. I don't want to ruin the experience as the discovery is a fun part of it but I highly recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely amazing~!! The architecture blends well into the nature, and you can get some peaceful and playful moment of your own. Tips: 1. Transportation: take a shuttle bus or rent an electrical bicycle from the port. Remember to check out the bus schedule in advance as the bus doesn’t run often. 2. Tickets: try to arrive early to get a reserved slot during peak season. I arrived at 10:30am and got a slot for 11:30am, so I visited another place first by bicycle. 3 Cloths: you need to take off your shoes to enter, so consider to wear socks for its cement ground. 4 Cafe: lemon roll is delicious~

Experiencia fantástica: It was the best masterpiece I have ever seen! Better than all Naoshima galleries. You must plan as much time as possible, you can do re-entry too. Every minute it looks different! I would like to see it on the rainy day too - it should be looking even more interesting! Pros: have warmer socks and consider renting the bike or taking the bus from Teshima ports.
