🗣️ Museo de Arte MOA: Opiniones
Experiencia positiva: The building is beautiful, the escalators up are worth the visit, and with beautiful views. Saw a ceramic exhibit. Only downside is the exhibit space is smallish but very elegant, so note you will not see their entire collection, they rotate themed exhibits. French restaurant and café in main building, traditional Japanese eateries out back.
Experiencia positiva: I can totally see how Japan found their own style of beauty, after influencing by china. Although there’s not much exhibition, still worth to go.it has three parking lot, but don’t worry. A staff is right there on the way to show you the road.
Experiencia fantástica: A very calming atmosphere at a beautiful location. So clean the stairs are shiny. The signs and most of the art descriptions are in English and all the staff tried hard to communicate. Well worth a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful museum overlooking the sea! The works on view have detailed descriptions in Japanese and English. I loved the Woodblock exhibit! The works on view were gorgeous and the artist’s were fascinating to learn about.
Experiencia fantástica: Omg GoogleMaps told me to walk up here from the station. Do not do this. Your lungs will explode. Take bus #8. Art art art. Don't miss the Kabuki theater!
Experiencia fantástica: MOA is a great place to visit while you’re staying in Atami. Especially for art lovers. While I was visiting the museum there was an Ukiyo—e exhibition that I enjoyed a lot. This museum have a very nice view of the port especially from it’s cafe, which serve drinks and soft cream. There are also two Japanese restaurants one which serve soba and one with set meals of seafood. It also has a Japanese cafe that serve matcha and wagashi, you can buy the ticket for this and a visit to the museum at the entrance for 2000yen. It also has another cafe inside the museum building that serve nice sweets, drinks and lunch. It’s ok to take photos either using a cell phone or a camera in most of the places in the museum but you can’t use a tripod even outdoor or in the Japanese garden.
Experiencia fantástica: A must see meusum in Japan. MOA meusum a wonderful place to enjoy art and tranquility. Enjoy the view and experience wonderful food as well.
Experiencia fantástica: amazing
Experiencia positiva: The view is really nice. Unfortunately, they didn’t have as many works of art as I thought they would and the museum store also didn’t have the standard postcard sized prints that museums usually sell of their current exhibition. Still worth going for the view I guess.
Experiencia fantástica: It is great place to visit in Atami. There are beautiful cafe and good restaurants too. Highly recommend to visit on Autumn!
Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting museum with great architecture!
Experiencia fantástica: This museum was a great shelter in the midst of a rainstorm that hit Atami during our trip! It usually has a great view of the town when you sit in the cafe or the restaurant the museum has, but it was too cloudy the gallery and exibition was super interesting too! We enjoyed the visit very much!
Experiencia fantástica: If you love art and nature. This is the plac
Experiencia fantástica: It is quite amazing to find such a museum in a small town with treasures dating back from 8th to 14th century. Paintings and pottery are remarkable assembled in a spectacular modern building overlooking the bay. The pâtisserie is worthy the waiting time.
Experiencia fantástica: Gorgeous arts that impressed me quite a lot!
Experiencia fantástica: A very nicely renovated beautiful museum. While small, it holds quite a few pretty art pieces. There is a cafe and a few restaurants too. The road to get there is very narrow and precarious so perhaps more difficult with a large car.
Experiencia fantástica: This place is amazing, you can buy a bus ticket that takes you all the way up the mountain to the entrance to this museum. From there you buy your ticket and enter the building going up what seems like the escalators to heaven. The rotunda is beautiful, soon after you go up another level or two and you are at the museum. You can see one of the most glorious views of Atami, and Hatsushima. The view of the ocean and the island alone is worth the price to enter the museum. There are then many things you can enjoy displayed in such classy styles. The glass is so clean you forget it’s there. My favorite were the scrolls that reminded me of manga, you are getting only a sample of the stories beautifully painted but you feel part of the story as you walk along almost witnessing the stories unfold. It was an educative experience. There is English everywhere around the displays etc. if you come to Atami, you MUST come here!
Experiencia fantástica: Great museum with professional staffs. Highly recommended. Moreover you should definitely spend an extra of around 500yen to get to the sky deck to observe the mesmerizing Tokyo night view.
Experiencia fantástica: Galleries are seasonally dependent. You won't be able to see the entire collection at any one time because the exhibition pieces need to be thoroughly maintained throughout the year. Many national treasures and centuries old artwork as the main focus.
Experiencia fantástica: We could enjoy with kids
Experiencia fantástica: Love it, great spirit all around the house, elevator entrance and dome projection fantastic
Experiencia fantástica: Nice location on the top. Nice cafe.and.restaurant and.architecture itself. The collection is so so. But I love the vibe h
Experiencia fantástica: Go see Hokusai's original wood block art. Beautiful place to visit with breathtaking views of Atami.
Experiencia fantástica: Modern museum with an atmosphere over looking Atami. National treasure, 紅白梅図屏風 (Red and White Plum Blossoms) was outstanding!!
Experiencia fantástica: If you like to see story of old things (such as vessel , plate, paint etc) this place will fulfill your wish. On the other hand the architect of the building was astonished me. Can take many good photos in here. And there are 7 long escalator here.
Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful museum with beautiful design building, what a view of the east coast! The elevator hallway and the music light hallway were really impressive, we enjoyed the exhibition of two famous Japanese ancient artists, where there were cherry flourishing outside the building! What a lovely little town of Atami! We enjoyed every minute there.
Experiencia fantástica: Small but exceptional museum. The setting is beautiful with a panoramic view of Atami and the sea. Collection is very well curated, and holds some well know national treasure of Japanese art. Nice garden in the back with a good choice of restaurants. A must if you visit Atami.
Experiencia fantástica: Loved this museum. First and foremost the journey up to the museum is worth it for the views along but the museum's collection is beautiful. What I liked most about it was the fact that the collection was sparse compared to collection of other museums but I feel like the curators have been particular about what they have on display. I highly recommend the buttercream bread in the cafe on the first floor that offers the most wonderful view over Atami, across the sea and parts of the Izu Peninsula.
Experiencia fantástica: Good !!!
Experiencia fantástica: So~~~~beautiful!!
Experiencia fantástica: Fabulous view from the top of the mountain. People can see the coast line and all the way to Oshima. Suggest to stay there for 2-3 hours!
Experiencia fantástica: Small and manageable museum of Japanese artworks housed in an incredibly beautiful building with breathtaking views of Atami castle and the surrounding areas. Well worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood. If you're staying at a local hotel, check their tourist area as they may have a coupon to save a little money on the tickets.
Experiencia fantástica: This is an extremely beautiful Modern Art Museum fixed up on top of a very high heel overlooking the ocean not far from Tokyo at all. Definitely a great spot for anyone who loves to see ancient Japanese artifacts along with modern art this time it was It was a display of Urushi Woodwork and various artworks from the Meiji restoration era as well as modern recent work. They usually have themes so it would be important to phone ahead to find out what the theme is in case it was something you weren't interested in but it's worth it to visit just to see the gorgeous spacious architecture and of course the beautiful scenery and Vistas
Experiencia fantástica: Huge museum with a gorgeous view over Atami. If you are visiting to get a glimpse of Japanese art, very recommended.
Experiencia fantástica: I and my husband were fascinated by this museum for its beautiful design. It is located in a hill, and the nature's beauty can be enjoyed in the museum by looking through the big windows. Be sure to have a Japanese style lunch there, and have a cup of mocha.
Experiencia fantástica: Good place to go. If you come to Atami city, you must visit this museum!!
Experiencia fantástica: Good view of sea. Save 300 yen by buying ticket on ticket shop at atami station.
Experiencia fantástica: The main museum built by Mokichi Okada from his plan of paradise on earth. This Museum was built by Moore and the main artwork at the entrance is from him. Before arriving the main entrance there are many escalators where the roofa are iluminated of several colors. They can be named "The stairways to heaven". Also, it has the hugest kaleidoscope on earth.
Experiencia fantástica: The museum is on the top of the hill, a very steep one, so do take a bus (or a taxi). There is usually a bus that goes straight from the station to the museum (¥170 on Nov 2017). The place itself is a little small but the exhibition is nice. I love the tea garden. So pretty in Autumn with all those red maple leaves.
Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed the 36 Views of Mount Fuji prints exhibit, as well as other things on display. The building is beautiful and modern. It's located on a mountain above Atami and has stunning views in all directions. If you like to take your time reading exhibit descriptions, arrive before 3pm. That was when I arrived and was not able to see everything. They also stop selling food around 3 - 3:30.
Experiencia fantástica: Many great pieces of artwork and the museum has a very good view of the ocean even though it is run by a religious sect
