Experiencia fantástica: Visited on Mar. 2022. Impressive art experience. You can enjoy several paintings, statues with peaceful mind. The building is quite unique. Rounded hall is centered and surrounded square cells as like as wall of castle. I seem that it is inspired by Hiroshima castle by near.

I was lucky enough to be there on the 11th for a free trio concert, featuring some Christmas pieces as well as others. The cafe was sold out of all their sandwiches, but I was able to enjoy a latte with a 100-yen off coupon.

Experiencia fantástica: The museum is not big but has amazing collections. From Japanese paintings to European ones. It also has a gift/souvenir shop that sells beautiful postcards. There is also a cafe inside. The food is good and not pricey and the music also good!

Experiencia fantástica: I saw permanent exhibition as an interesting illustration for influence of Western artists on Japanese fine art. Too sad that I did not have time to read all the descriptions, but I am now curious about the topic itself. Also the Nase Keiko anniversary exhibition was my first acquaintance with this author. The style is very cute!

Experiencia fantástica: Not sure what I was expecting really, but this museum turned out to be one of the best surprises of this trip. Our visit happened to coincide with an extraordinary exhibit of impressionist and post-impressionist works - many from the museum's own collection. The quality of the works was consistently high including some excellent Van Goghs and probably the best Monet haystacks I can recall. Nice little cafe. Not far from the peace park.

Experiencia fantástica: Spent about two hours here.. the museum itself isn't so large but they have quite a few paintings. Although none of the informative posters are written in English, I liked that the museum guide available on your phone gives you information about each piece of art and the artists themselves (in English or Japanese). The museum is also laid out in an extremely user-friendly manner, with lots of signs and arrows. Helped me feel a lot less dumb since I wasn't left wandering around The museum gift shop also had a lot of cool products, especially the little flip books. They also have a lot of cat-themed items for some reason?

I’ve got to say though it was quite peaceful and there were some pieces from well known artists. They even had an event when I was there where they were playing live music. Made the experience ten times better.

Experiencia positiva: Very cozy place and not too expensive. It's a great way to relax and enjoy art. I think they sometimes change the exhibitions. They have multiple fares avaible for any type of people for reduced price and they give you a discount coupon for the cafe that is located right next to their store.

Experiencia fantástica: A beautiful gallery. There’s 4 halls with a lot of name artworks. Very quiet and tranquil. They have amazing socks in the gift store! A little confusing whether photographs can be taken or not (one sign says no flash, the other says no camera...)

Experiencia fantástica: I've never seen such an extensive collection of impressionist paintings...All by the classics. Still fangirling that I saw a Van Gogh. I guess it's been a quick minute since I've been to New York to see their collection...so I'm sure I've seen some there now that I think about it. If you have any liking for impressionist art, this is a place for you to check out. 600 yen for entry and four galleries. I read some reviews saying it was confusing about pictures, and I agree. There are some signs at the entry to the gallery that no pictures are allowed...but then there is one sign that says only those that say no pictures can have no pictures...very confusing. And then the pamphlet is very confusing as well...I suggest you ask upon entry whether you can take photos. Obviously you definitely shouldn't be taking flash photography, but I don't know about normal photos...
