Experiencia fantástica: I went there during golden week and it was quite crowded, but it was very nice. The museum has many floors with different themes for those who are into science and geeky stuff. The ticket costs ¥800 with the planetarium show, which I definitely recommend. Although there’s no English translation for the show, it’s a very unique experience. You may exit and enter the museum as you wish, which is a plus. The Nagoya City Museum is also right next to the Science Museum and they have different art exhibitions. Overall, it’s a really good program for those visiting Nagoya
Experiencia fantástica: Very cool interactive museum, especially great for younger teens and kids! Everything is in Japanese, so use Google lens to translate the info :)
Experiencia fantástica: This was the star of my preschooler’s trip. He went twice, and still asked to go back again. Even in two trips we couldn’t get though everything. What a fantastic museum. The cafe was also nice and there was a little playground nearby as well. Highly recommended for kids, adults will have fun as well.
Experiencia fantástica: Super fun. I spent time there while waiting for my hotel check-in. School kids were friendly and fun. Activities were interesting, I would have spent more time there if I didn't have other places to get to later that day. Very affordable 400 yen entry. Overall a wonderful way to pass a few hours. It went by so fast I couldn't see it all.
Experiencia fantástica: This science museum was built in Nagoya's Shirakawa Park to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the city government. It has one of the world's largest planetarium domes with an inner diameter of 35 meters. The building features a design that emphasizes the spherical shape of the huge dome, which looks like the Death Star from STAR WARS. Even if you are not interested in science or space, you should definitely visit the museum when you come to Nagoya City.
Experiencia fantástica: It was a pleasant surprise to stumble upon when exploring Nagoya. The planetarium show is 100% recommended! Even though I don't speak any Japanese, I enjoyed every second of it. Many of the exhibits are interactive. Make sure you take the time to explore and play with them.
Experiencia positiva: One of the many museum options in Nagoya! It has the worlds largest planetarium. As the museum is in Japanese, including the planetarium commentary, I personally didn’t find this too worthwhile. Entry is also quite steep, 1800 plus 400 for a planetarium show.
Experiencia fantástica: It has been a long time since the last time we visit science museum. Nagoya has the magnificent one, we enjoy the knowledge, as well as make memories to our childhood. The planetarium also great.
Experiencia fantástica: Perfect place to bring kids and poke their curiosity for science because there are many playful gadgets and attractions. Special “Gem” show was a good plus.
Experiencia fantástica: Nice way to learn and appreciate the innovation science has affected our lives. The activities were so fun to do i felt like a kid again
Experiencia fantástica: This is a must see. If you're a lover of the sciences like myself, you won't regret making a visit here. The planetarium will definitely send you to sleep. Not because of boredom, but imagine relaxing under a beautifully arrayed night sky, with all its hosts in action. Yeah, I fell asleep twice. It's definitely worth every penny I paid.
Experiencia fantástica: one of the best places ever I visited. Its really good for kids to understand science they will lovevthis please. they have really nice insect collection. they use all of Physics theory inside this building with practically using it. Kids will love it and they will love to do science when they enjoy this place. Planetarium is the awesome place. Youe need to book ticket fast. Limited show times but many people. all inclusive ticket is around 2000¥. They have 3 options.
Experiencia fantástica: Really liked this museum. Very interactive with things for kids and big kids. Unfortunately the planetarium is under construction until April 2021. Will visit again!
Experiencia fantástica: One thing I enjoy most as a a tourist is aquariums and science museums and this science museum is well worth the stop. It is a huge place that offers a lot of exhibits and educational enlightenment. You will not be disappointed if you come and if you have children, 100% you need to stop by. There is a lot to look at with many floors to keep you busy. You will absolutely spend a lot of time here and enjoy every moment of it. Just stop by and enjoy the museum.
Experiencia fantástica: The Nagoya City Science Museum is a museum located in Sakae, Nagoya, the center of Nagoya City, in central Japan. The museum houses the largest planetarium in the world and has three main sections on modern technology, life sciences and general science with a variety of hands-on exhibits
Experiencia fantástica: We had a good time here. My son enjoy very much. There are many things that kids can play and learn. And the ticket is affordable.
Experiencia fantástica: For 800 yen, it is worth it! Planetarium show is only narrated in japanese though There are also a lot of kids. But the stuff on display are mostly interactable, so you can will definitely have fun.
Experiencia fantástica: The museum is interactive. It was my first time since I was little to get to enjoy such a thing. They have a tornado, a planetarium, a hamster wheel so you can power a water system. It is so much fun for everyone! I got 2 hours which couldn't see the whole thing but it was the best money I spent and it was like 6 dollars. I got the regular ticket. If you are looking to spend time before your Shinkansen departure, I believe this is a great place. They also have a sitting area with vending machines including ice cream. Science, games and ice cream! ☺️
Experiencia fantástica: This place is an excellent place for kids and even for adults. One day visit from opening to closing hours is enough to enjoy all the shows and visit every corner and try every activity they have. The color of stars show is very nice but is only available in Japanese. But if you have basic knowledge of the sun, stars, moon and the galaxy, it will just be common sense for you to grasp what it is all about. The activites offered are very interesting. And is useful to students. Parents are must accompany the children and explain everything in the museum to maximize the knowledge the children will get. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I recommend this place specially to those who are homeschooling. Toilets are everywhere and are clean. Outside the museum is a park with a small playground that is very nice for children. Worth visiting.
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic place to learn about science from all areas and fields. Many interactive activities where you can see the science happen. There is also a show showcasing observatory findings. However the caveat is that the show is in japanese with no english guides/subtitles but for me personally (not a Japanese speaker) still enjoyed the visuals to warrant going back to the museum again. Definitely worth visiting if you are traveling within the area. Moderate walking distance from nearest train station with many eatery's nearby. There is also a museum gift shop opposite.
Experiencia fantástica: My 5yr old loved it. She recently just learnt about space, so she was all about the planetarium. She doesnt speak Japanese(because the show is done only in Japanese) but she still marveled at everything. I, on the other hand, used the 50mins in the planetarium to sleep because I was tired trying to keep up with my child. We were in the museum for 5hours straight. It is an awesome family plac
Experiencia fantástica: Perfect to teach children science in a practical way. Many different things from engineering to physics and biology. If you have children a must go to with the interactive program. If you are an adult be aware that 90% of the people are children and it will get loud. There are many buttons and switches to try out, children love it. Which is why you will probably after an hour get a headache. The Exebinition of endangered species right now is awesome and sad at the same time. If you go now a must have.
Experiencia fantástica: 5,000 out of 5 stars. Astounding. To family, couples, and everyone! As you go up, the more intelligent the museum becomes. You have 5 floors and each have it's unique value! No words will make you understand, just pay the entrance fee (pretty cheap, it was 400 yen when i bought it) and have fun! I stayed here for 2 hours and could stay for even 2 more, but they had to close at 17:00... Make sure you come early!
Experiencia fantástica: A must visit for those visiting Japan with small kids, and for those of you who are always a kid at heart. Admission is free for kids below 15 years old, and only 400 yen for adults. There are 6 (or was it 7) floors with each floor dedicated to a specific theme, such as house and living where you could see the structure of a typical Japanese homes, Japanese trains network and simple mechanics, simple science experiments that kids could play with by themselves, and much more. There's also a planetarium running shows every hour, which we didn't visit because it's already closed for the day. It's guaranteed fun for the family! Most of the display however are in Japanese so parents of would need to explain to their kids.
Experiencia fantástica: Very entertaining and fun way to learn interesting and useful things of science. With an incredible structure, you can find pretty much everything about mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology divided in 4 floors. Audio guide provided for free on your smartphone. And do not miss out the oportunity to check the spectacle on the dome! enjoy!!
