Experiencia fantástica: My son was reading The Little Prince when we headed to Hakone and...surprise! This little gem of a museum was right there in Hakone! It is sweet and delightful. Exterior is a charming garden with a replica of the house the author grew up in and including statues of all the characters and places in the book. Inside you'll find the story of his life and they have the authors actual passport! At the end you 'enter' into the book. Charming little restaurant there and gift shop...also charming. TIP: Last entrance 30 mins before. Check website for hours, etc.

Experiencia fantástica: Insanely detailed homage to Saint-Exupéry with lots of fun in it. A good museum in its right with an interesting historical account, it features a very clever and challenging treasure hunt with nice puzzles. However, you will need a Japanese speaker to play. There is also a simple stamp collecting exercise suited to younger children.

Experiencia fantástica: This museum is so fantastic! I love Le Petit Prince so this museum taught me more about the author and I got some great photo opportunities. I definitely suggest going here! I went to Hakone just to see this museum and it was worth the day trip!

Experiencia fantástica: Great little place, I thought it was a little expensive, but it was acceptable. I learnt a lot more about Antoine St Exupery. It was also beautifully designed with certain photograph spots which teaches you where to take photos to look good :D Good for photograph newbs like myself. We left soon as we were on a hurry to get to the airport though.

The exhibits were so well made and exquisite. Love the details and secrets they left along the way for visitors to uncover. The only problem was this place was pretty out of the way.

Experiencia positiva: I forgot the story of Little Princes, but I enjoyed very much. The flower garden ,the French buildings and the princes goods are very good. The Xmas illumination is wonderful!! I recommend to visit when you visit Hakone before the museum close!

Experiencia fantástica: If you are a fan of the Little Prince, this is the museum you should visit. The gardens, buildings, and exhibits well express the world together and made me want to read the book again. My one-year-old daughter was also happy to be able to freely walk around in the beautiful garden. She got a bit scared though with some dim areas in the exhibition buildings. Even the information pamphlet is so cute. The menu at the café was also designed with the Little Prince theme, and I highly recommend this museum.

It was just so well- done ; explained & detailed ; books translated in every language and most importantly a full replay of every step of Saint Exupery’s life and the Little Prince book. Something to definitely visit. Prices can also be combined with other visits in Hakone. So think of going there first in order to buy tickets at discounted prices. There’s also a restaurant with french food if of any interest.

Experiencia fantástica: I strongly recommend you to be here if you like “the Little Prince” as it got lots of history about “the Little Prince”. The entrance fee is thousand something yen which is valuable to pay among all the museum in Hakone. With a wonderful outdoor area and detail explanation with “the Little Prince”. I post a lot of outdoor area since it is good for photo. However, there are lots of area which is not suitable to take photo, which means you better come to visit.

Experiencia fantástica: This was a lovely museum right out of the book and we learned more about the author. English was available at most exhibits. My son and I were able to walk around and enjoy the gardens and grounds at leisure. We enjoyed discussing each of the planets and their characters. Then we enjoyed a themed meal on-site. Free parking on-site.

Experiencia fantástica: I really loved this museum. I read a review saying it was run down, it wasn’t. As a fan of the book, I found it so interesting, especially the walkthrough. Get one of the books with the corresponding information. I was in love. The restaurant was really tasty too :) One thing I will say is that the gift shop had a lot of non related French things, but I think that’s just popular with Japanese people. The museum itself was like walking through the life of the author of Le Petit Prince's life, and the replicas were well made, beautiful and fascinating. The museum itself is also very well decorated and built on the exterior, particularly reminiscent of 20th century French arcitechture and is overall very aesthetically pleasing and great for photos. Another highlight is the restaurant, as the service is fantastic. The waiters are very friendly and smiling and the food is also exemplar western cuisine. The seating is also very comfortable and the decor is very beautiful and French like. The atmosphere is also very casual. Overall Delightful Experience! - 10/10

The museum has a mini theater, shop, restaurant, church and spots named of famous characters in the book, like selfish le ruin, cute renard. If you visit here in summer, you can have a glance of fragrant rose garden.

Experiencia fantástica: Im a huge fan of the Little Prince, but i didnt know much of its creator; Antoine de Saint-Exupery. And this museum tells a lot about him. From his childhood until he went missing on his expedition and never had known that his book(s) bocome the world's darling. The museum its self is well thought. Entering this museum is like going inside to the Little Prince book. Youll meet him, the fox, the sheep, the king and the other characters - not to mention the iconic well and airplane. Too bed you cant take any picture inside the exhibition hall. But i really enjoyed my visit to this world's only museum devoted to the most heartwarming story. The ambience made me feel like i was strolling in one of France countryside villages. If you happened to be in Hakone, this museum is worth a visit!

Experiencia fantástica: One of the best little museums I’ve ever been to, and charming to boot. I’m a fan of the book and it was amazing getting to see the characters come to life in this little treasure up in the mountains. It is difficult to get up to the location but if you’re willing to pay for the train and bus service to get there it’s worth it! The interiors were unbelievable, and it’s clear they had a lot of passion in building this museum. We were not allowed to take photos inside but we managed to get some outside and inside the museum. The only museum of its kind for the author so if you’re a fan of the little prince, this is a must!
