You will need 3 hours if you want to see all Unfortunately do t allow to make pictures on the new exposition. Perfect plan for a rainy day, much to lear about Osaka’s history too overall very interesting and nourish.

Experiencia fantástica: There is a lot to see here and the museum itself it wonderfully done, I've been to many, but this one really does a good job to immerse you into the history of Japan. The displays and the presentation, every little detail is thought out. I don't think I have ever bumped into another museum that had done such a good job in attracting people. There is more than enough to read and do for children. You will have a good idea of what it is like back then and how things were. 100% you need to check it out! If you love Japan culture and history, this is the place where you'll be satisfied.

Experiencia fantástica: 1) Compared to kyoto musium, lots of modern historical monuments exists. 2) Furthermore, here allow us to take photo without flash (⭐No flash!⭐) 3) Overall staffs are really kind. Several big monuments are also exists. 4) Price is also reasonable. Considering the exhibition, the price is really good. We can save 600 Yen when we shows our 1 day subway tickets!✨ Thanks a lot! Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic museum located near Osaka Castle. The exhibits are displayed in a clear and orderly manner, follow the recommended route through the museum and you will gain a greater understand of osaka's history from the ancient to modern period. The exhibits have a fair amount of explanations in non-japanese languages, including English Chinese and Korean. There are also restrooms and rest areas on every floor. The views of Osaka Castle from the museum is simply splendid.

Experiencia fantástica: They have amazing dioramas and old city recreation. It is well worth the visit. If you plan to visit both museum and castle, get your combined ticket at the museum to skip the castle ticket line.

Experiencia fantástica: I loved learning about the history of Japan in this over 7 floor museum. Each floor spoke about a different time and era of Japan and it felt like you were actually travelling through time as you made your way down each level. I especially loved the small models they had of the imperial palaces as well as the old towns and houses which depicted how the people used to live. Some of the artworks and clothing and artifacts were also preserved from at least a hundred years ago. If you love learning about Japanese history this is a fantastic place to go to. I had an amazing start to the day at the museum before making my way to the Osaka castle.

As with most Japanese museums, it's most beneficial to get the audio guide, as non-Japanese descriptions will be short or nonexistent. Overall a great museum located right beside Osaka Castle, which you can get a cheaper combined entry ticket for the two.

The first moment you stepped into the place was you’ll be awe-struck with the huge globular glass roof... The display was really well managed as it guides you the journey of Osaka since the middle age period

Experiencia fantástica: It has a beautiful exhibits that will show you the history of Osaka since it could be traced back until today. You'll see it develop and it is very interesting. I wish they had life size villages exhibit too. Start with the exhibit on the 8th floor then make your way downwards.

Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting. Not expensive and easy to get to from the subway. Audio guide is helpful for non-japenese speakers but you can enjoy the museum without it.
