Experiencia fantástica: A lovely museum with two great exhibitions: one is ancient collection and the other is modern art. Friendly staff, just the right size of exhibitions with masterpieces. I saw the best Dali painting here, and that's just the beginning. The museum is located at Ohori park, which is beautiful in itself, so the visit to the museum can be combined with the park and a beautiful Japanese garden, plus the castle ruins are also close by. A must go place if you're in Fukuoka!

Experiencia fantástica: Great pieces on display with very interesting facts about them. I definitely learnt a lot. The ¥200 was surprising for all the experience had to offer. The neighboring park was very scenic and relaxing and good for a casual stroll or a quick jog. Highly recommended experience.

Experiencia positiva: Reopened after 30-months renovation in March 2019. Originally designed by Mayekawa Kunio. They have a nice little kids space(currently closed) on the second floor. We visited the exhibition with two kids under two-year-old. The staff was kind enough to give us tickets to reenter(basically reentry is not allowed) so we could take some time for restrooms and having snacks and enjoyed the exhibition.

Experiencia fantástica: This museum, just on the edge of Ohori park is an excellent example of what a medium sized museum can be. The English translations of the Japanese guides are surprisingly very natural. Currently on exhibition: G Moreau and his femmes fatales. Highly recommend, and there's a student discount too!

Experiencia fantástica: Salvador Dali’s The Madonna of Port Lligat (1950) is on exhibit until April 19, 2020. They also have Art works from Joan Miro, Marc Chagall, and Andy Warhol.

Experiencia fantástica: Five stars because we’re so happy to see Yayoi Kusama’s yellow pumpkin :) and got a miniature version from the gift shop. We’re also awed by Yinka Shonibare’s paintings, fabrics, sculptures! We love his work and the messages they depict.

Experiencia fantástica: The building is really amazing (inside and outside), the permanent collection is really interesting and displays beautiful works from national and international artists (Dali's Madonna) The special exhibition displays Yinka Shonibare was breath taking, you better catch it before it ends.
