Experiencia fantástica: A great museum with a large permanent gallery. The building itself is also designed as a piece of art and certainly adds to the atmosphere. At a price point if 500¥ it's worth seeing. Titles of works are provided in Japanese and English and directional signage is also provided in both. Pamphlets about the exhibits are Japanese only however.

Experiencia fantástica: Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art is modern and contemporary art museum. The building itself is a piece of art designed by Tadao Ando. Make sure not to miss their Special Exhibitions

Experiencia fantástica: It’s a brilliant museum, today, I went to Gogh’s exhibition. However, please state or mark any phrase regarding photo taking. For foreigner, it can be confused. Put some infographic of photographing at the front gate of exhibition. When the staff comes and say ‘DO NOT TAKE PHOTO’ is not feeling hood actually. In addition, some people around me looked hard on me - this is the most bad experience during the trip in Japan. It can be a common sense about the photo, however, for foreigner, please concern about it. Usually in the UK, most gallery allowed photographing, or they definitely state about it in the front door. I hope the other people will not experience like me.

Experiencia fantástica: Good collection of art pieces, both modern and classic pieces . But I was more enthralled by the architecture. A permanent collection of Tadao Ando is also in the Ando Gallery showing all of his works and good library of all his books.

Experiencia fantástica: Permanent exhibition costs 500 yen If you visit the special exhibition which included with permanent exhibition it will cost around 1300 yen Overall I love it, especially the touchable art pieces created by blinded artist. It was so touching, literally. The museum architecture was really interesting. There was Ando Tadao’s show room, an architectural team which created many beautiful places in Japan including this museum.

Experiencia fantástica: I went here with my girlfriend for attending my school exhibition event last month in February. The location was quite far from Kyoto (it’s far.. sorry haha) but the location itself is good bcause in front of the building is a harbour..? Hmm kind of. When i went there, there was a van gogh exhibition but I didn’t go there. The weather was extremely windy and i barely moved forward loll but it was fun tho haha

Experiencia fantástica: Nice museum, I decided to go to the Van Gogh exhibition on Feb2020. It was very busy when the permanent exhibition was not. The double ticket was ¥2,000. Staff was polite and nice to the public. I recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: The architectural design of the museum by world famous architect Tadao Ando is mesmerizing. The permanent (Japanese art) and temporary (impressionism) collections are very interesting. It's definitely worth a visit!

Experiencia fantástica: Great museum with beautiful architecture! Last time I went for Studio Ghibli's exhibition, completely worth it! The museum is in front of the sea and very close to the mountains as well! Nice place for sightseeing!

Experiencia fantástica: I went here especially for the Kobe studio Ghibli exhibition which was fantastic!! But you must go to the studio Ghibli museum in Tokyo!!... The art museum itself I only saw a brief section and it was very nice and the statue out the front is very random

Experiencia fantástica: State museum located 10 min from Hanshin Iwaya station. Museum architecture designed by Tadao Ando. Very minimalistic structure is beautiful but rather hard to navigate. The museum brings major but often eccentric exhibitions.

Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful gallery with an extensive permanent collection and many traveling exhibitions. Well worth a visit!
