Experiencia fantástica: ８階から９階へ階段を上って行くのですが、企画展が無い平日などはヒッソリとした場所の印象がある博物館です。 それでも郵政の父、１円切手の顔である前島密(まえじまひそか)さんが確立した郵便制度の歴史を知るための貴重な品々がいっぱい。 また、こちらの前身と言っていい、かつて大手町にあった「ていぱーく」(逓信総合博物館)の世界の切手コレクションが丸々こちらへ移設され、館内の床面積なら大体奥半分(？)をその切手エリアが占めています。 マニアじゃなくても楽しめ、これだけでも此方へ訪れる価値ありです。切手の数が多くてとても一日じゃ見きれない程ですよ！ 館内のどの品々もつぶさに見ると、どれも現代ニッポンを貫く「郵便」という血脈の歴史を物語る興味深いものばかり。時を忘れじっくりと堪能できました。 ８階から９階へ階段を上って行くのですが、企画展が無い平日などはヒッソリとした場所の印象がある博物館です。 それでも郵政の父、１円切手の顔である前島密(まえじまひそか)さんが確立した郵便制度の歴史を知るための貴重な品々がいっぱい。 …

Experiencia fantástica: Located on the 9th floor of Tokyo Solamachi. You can take elevator up to the 8th floor and change to the other elevator for 8th~11th floor. Or you can take escalator up to the 8th floor and continue with elevator for the 8th~11th floor. Entrance fee is 300 yen which you can buy from a vending machine and show it to the receptionist. Not a too big museum, just perfect in my opinion. They have English explanations too. I really enjoyed how they explain the start of sending letters in Japan and how the west influenced the advancement of postal system in Japan. Personally, I spent about 2.5 hours here to read all the explanations whether in English or in Japanese. They have an interactive game, too, which allow you to be a virtual postman riding a post bike.

Experiencia fantástica: 2018年の10月にちはら台から押上まで、京成線を乗り継いで行ったけど、この日は、鐵ー鉄道と郵便という企画展を見ました。鉄道郵便や貨物輸送に関する写真や資料、切手等の様々な展示があり、日本や海外の郵便制度の詳しい展示もあったので、時間をかけて見ていました。

A large stamp collection (photography is prohibited in this section) of Japanese and world stamps. A great gift shop with stamps and postcards (featuring symbols of various prefectures. I am adding a photo of my paternal grandmother, Edna Fox Crouch, who taught a a Christian women's college in Kobe in 1961, next to a Japanese post box.

Experiencia fantástica: Cheap admission and there's alot to see inside. They have a massive stamp collection that spans across all the continents and the highlight would be the Mona Lisa collage that are made from stamps. I would visit this place again.

Experiencia fantástica: 逓信総合博物館の後継施設。以前よりコンパクトになったが、見学はしやすくなった。膨大な切手のコレクションは健在。訪問時は電信の技術/歴史の企画展を開催していた。同じ旧郵政省管轄ということで、電気通信とも関わりが深いんですね。

Experiencia fantástica: Un jour pluvieux à Tokyo ? Pas de soucis, le musée de la poste est là pour vous sauver ! Pour seulement 300 yens vous pourrez vous balader dans une collection de timbres venant du monde entier, et trier par année (la collection est vraiment TRÈS impressionnante!). Vous apprendrez des choses sur l'histoire de la poste au Japon, mais aussi dans le monde. Petit plus pour les jeux go go postman et l'autre dont j'ai oublié le nom, mais qui permettent de se sentir un peu actif et autrement qu'en archiviste plongé dans ses timbres. On peut y passer 30 minutes, comme 10h. Tout dépend de notre intérêt et du temps à disposition. Pour ma part j'ai adoré regarder tous les timbres qui ont pu circuler dans mon pays, mais aussi toute l'Europe et le monde (certains sont de vraies pièces d'art). Experiencia fantástica: Great place! The entrance fee is 300¥ per adult, and you can see it in about an hour. The staff speaks English and there are multiple language audio guides and an English app. You can see the history of the post office with real objects of every era. There are three spaces kids friendly, and a commemorative corner where you can wear a Meiji Era postman costume. The gift shop it's small but plenty of souvenirs and stamps with your year of birth. You can also send a postcard and receive a special edition seal.
