Experiencia fantástica: Modern Gallery is one of the most interesting museums in Zagreb. I found here a wide range of exhibitions from classic to modern arts. There are also a cafe and a good gift shop.

Experiencia positiva: Nice museum with an interesting collection of 19th century to "modern" times. Always wonder where to draw the line for "modern" art. When you follow the galleries in logical order you make a time travel It was very quiet when I visited early November 2022 and I almost had the place to my own.

Experiencia fantástica: Entrance is a little forbidding but don't be put off. Two floors of excellent art, the first floor given over to exhibitions. The second floor to the permanent collection, C19 & C20, with a fair amount of sculpture. Definitely worth a visit

Experiencia fantástica: Museum represents amazing works of mostly local, Croatian artists and creators, which is amazing I think. You can contemplate modern works from late 1800s till modern days and get the imagination how’s the Croatian art was changing through these years, from my favorite impressionistic works of late XIX century and modernism of the beginning of XX century with obvious influence of mainstream waves of that periods till modern and present days. I liked to explore how the different historical social and economical background influenced artist’s works. You can see a real mood of different epochs here, that really must be seen if you want to get more familiar with Croatia.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent intro to last 100 years of Croatian art (mostly paintings but also some sculptures). Really liked it, well selected, enjoyable - there is just enough from every decade/style to not tire you. Recommended!

Experiencia fantástica: Lovely art museum, came here right after the contemporary art museum (which was a little more disappointing), this was a breath of fresh air. Solid exhibits, controlled narrative, and we'll paced. I felt I really got a great taste of Croatian modern art.

Experiencia fantástica: very nice and quiet museum. temporary exhibit is on the first floor and permanent collection is on the second. walking through whole stopping to look at your favorite pieces takes about 90 minutes. cute areas for photos (i liked the couch by the back stairs) but remember to not use flash also a really cool bridge on the second floor connecting the exhibits. they do offer student discounts and additional discounts if you’re studying art history. right near the park and school of the arts. be sure to check out the garden in the back after you exit!

Experiencia fantástica: The Modern Gallery of Zagreb is another museum you should not miss during your visit to Zagreb. Il holds permanent and temporary exhibitions of croatian painters and sculptors of the last two centuries. A very recent (Jan. 2021) and excellent exhibition that ended at the end of January was the one dedicated to dalmatian-born painter Jerolim Miše. Museum has a small store in the lobby and the entrance is around 40 kn (5,35 euros). It is conveniently located, diagonal to Zrinjevac Park, easily accesible from Glavni Kolodvor (2 blocks away) and Trg Josip Jelacic (10 min walk).

Experiencia fantástica: If you are a lover of art, it’s a MUST visit. It has lots of amazing pieces and a good collection of breathtaking paintings. It has two floors the second one contains much of a Modern pieces from the 30’s and till the millennium while the first one has much older ones. I really enjoyed my time there and it’s the best place i’ve been to in the city. The museum has a cute little store right infront of the gate under the stairs where you can get your tickets from as well
