🗣️ Museo de la Acrópolis: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: A modern architectural building full of history with comprehensive information. The electronic information device guide is handed for free but they are not always available. It is worth waiting for people to return them because it makes a huge difference. Check the last floor for stunning views. Like many museums, kids will love the first few minutes before they start getting bored so u need to keep them engaged. A must visit
Experiencia fantástica: Awesome Museum!!! Indications are really fine, so you can know what you are seeing. The top floor is the Parthenon's one, so incredible. What surprised me at first is that that floor has exactly the orientation of Parthenon. With a little more attention, could notice that the main room has also the same number of columns (8x17), and that also was peripterous. So I asked a female guard if the dimensions were the same of the Parthenon, and she told me they were. Nice architecture!!!
Experiencia fantástica: It’s amazing how much hard work has gone into preserving all the artifacts and they do a great job of explaining the history of all the artifacts. The building itself is a wonder in the way it sits on top of an ancient neighborhood! The fact that this place is air conditioned is a huge plus on the hot summer days so come at the peak of the hot day and keep your
Experiencia fantástica: An must visit when touring around Athens. Be prepared to spend about 3 hours here to fully experience everything the museum has to offer. If visiting the Acropolis, then this will fully round off your experience. The top floor is not to be missed, and is a must for anyone who truly wishes to appreciate the scale of the monument. 10/10 for how the curators of this museum have put things together!
Experiencia fantástica: A step back in time to compliment a visit to the Acropolis. Better to go following a morning visit to the actual site, allow the air conditioned museum to give you some respite and listen as the audio tour takes you around the many articles taken from within the site for preservation. I would definitely recommend buying tickets online before arrival as queues form and get longer as the day goes on.
Experiencia fantástica: From moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the rich history. I found myself immersed in the stories behind each piece, marveling at their intricate craftsmanship. The Museum also boasts stunning views of the Acropolis itself, and I was fortunate enough to enjoy these breathtaking vistas from the top-floor terrace. It was the perfect spot to take a moment to reflect on the historical importance of the site and soak in the beauty of Athens. Overall, it offers a fascinating journey through ancient Greece and serves as a testament to the country's rich cultural heritage. I highly recommend visiting this world-class museum to anyone interested in history, art, or simply looking to be inspired. It is an experience that will leave a lasting impression.
Experiencia fantástica: Such a wonderful museum. Easily the best one I've been to. So much history, and everything so beautifully crafted. This place is heaven for history lovers and is just worth everyone's time. Seeing the Caryatids was a once in a lifetime experience and was so meaningful. Loved this museum and will hopefully be back someday to appreciate it m
Experiencia fantástica: One of the best organized museums in Greece. Ive been debating whether it's better to go here first or to the Acropolis first. Probably better to go up the hill & have direct experience then take your time soak in whichever element you want to reflect on. Is is the all encompassing narrative of the pediment? The complete story is laid out on the top floor in actual size with real & replica tiles. Is it the deeper understanding of Athena's myriad forms? The mystical architecture of the Erechtheion? Or the vast numbers of statues recovered from the area. This LEEDS certified contemporary building is spacious & comfortable and monumental & really makes the experience. Plan 90 minutes on the Acropolis & 2 hrs h
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic museum. The layout is amazing. You have ancient Athens literally on the ground floor, which you can view through the floor of the museum in a number of spots, or simply walk down to the location through a side entrance. The online ticket is great to skip lines not to mention you can pay an extra 5€ to get an audio tour of the museum. Totally worth it in my opinion. I’d also recommend going at night if you can. Something about the white interior and art combined with the dark backing of the night sky through the giant windows that lets you focus even more.
Experiencia fantástica: Wonderful museum. All the ancient treasure but with a modern architecture design. Love the underground ruins. Bookstore is great! Recommend to come early (morning - before lunch time) or later in the afternoon to avoid large groups. Strongly recommend to book tickets online prior to visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend this place to visit in Athens! The museum is designed to be visitor friendly and in modern style. The statues were vivid and many of them are with color, and reveals lots of interesting and surprising facts. I did not expect Athena is with red hair since her impression in my mind is simply made of marbles and in white. Besides the exhibitions, there is a fabulous rooftop bar on the second or third floor, on which you can have a good view of the Acropolis! Besides, the gift shop can be a good shopping place. The small statues, clothe handbags and the dictionaries are made delicately!
Experiencia fantástica: A beautiful modern museum, full of history and with a great atmosphere. The exhibits are priceless, of course, and the way they are presented is fabulous, giving immediately the feel of how/why/where they were situated in antiquity. The number one feature of this museum is the location and the 360º view around it. It is located under the Acropolis and the big windows are giving a nice view of the surrounding centre of Athens city. The restaurant on the balcony is of very high culinary standards and the view is superb. A "must go" place if you visit Athens.
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic museum, i guess it is among the top sights in Athens! I attached lots of photos as the exhibition is just so amazing! So bright inside, loveable atmosphere, loads of history and arts! Ticket costs only €5 in the winter time. They have a cafe inside with the most amazing view over the Acropolis hill. People are very kind here! Mesmerizing spot ♥️
