Experiencia fantástica: We have been to Athens many times and thought we had run out of things to do. This museum is a hidden gem. One of the things I loved was the staff. They were very helpful in explaining the history of each invention. Maria did an excellent job at giving us a small tour. Unlike some museums, we found this one to be very interactive. Highly recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: This time my trip to Athens left the impression on me the museum of Ancient Greek Technology. May be some people think that museums are not very interesting, but I think quite the opposite. When you visit a museum, the gates to the temple of ancient times and art open for you. I was impressed by the unique creations of the human mind and their hands. I advise everyone to visit this museum for both adults and children (the children will discover where the origin of computers and other games came from), because it intellectually enriches your inner world, broadens your horizons, introduces you to the beautiful, allows you to experience involvement in the world and time. To my l pleasant surprise, the guides are very young. They did their work (especially Dimitris) with such love and enthusiasm, that they left a huge impression on me.

Experiencia fantástica: This small museum is full of surprise! Their collection is very practical and intriguing, especially for engineers I think. The staff (Dmitris and the lady in the reception - sorry we didn’t have a chance to get her name) were amazing; very knowledgeable and incredibly kind. That made this museum more interactive and fun. We enjoyed so much and had a great time.

Experiencia fantástica: If you have any interest at all in ancient Greek history and/or technology, do not miss this place when visiting Athens. Amazing exhibits and a super-friendly, knowledgeable and engaged team (the team offer demos and background on a number of the exhibits). This is a relatively small museum that has won prestigious awards and it is easy to see why. Can't praise this place and staff highly enough.

Experiencia fantástica: This museum is lots of fun. There are many old inventions and games to try yourself. Learn about the history of ancient musical instruments. It's a little off the main tourist trail but definitely worth a stop, especially with kids.

Experiencia fantástica: Museums like this are amazing and give you a real insight in to Ancient Greece and it’s incredible technology. This is a must do when in Athens as sometimes certain tours don’t go into detail about each bit of advancement and technology. Loads of hands on activities and video representations and staff are very friendly and willing to answer questions!

Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting museum. Spent well over an hour here. Irene was my guide and showed me the really cool technologies the ancient Greeks had. They had stuff that would be lost to history for 1000s of years. Museum was €9 for all the sections.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing museum. It is small but you can find lots of really interesting ancient mechanisms. Best of all is you can interact with them. We spent more than 2 hours touching and playing with all the artifacts all fascinating. Special mention to Dimitri. Although it wasn't a guided tour, he showed and explained us many of the devices. He is really an expert, he knows perfectly all the mechanisms and its history. I highly recommend to visit this museum.

Experiencia fantástica: The Museum of Ancient Greek Technology was really an eye-opener to me. When I was young, I learnt a lot about the great Greek scientists, engineers and mathematicians such as Archimedes and Pythagoras. I really admire their ingenuity and what they achieved more than 2000 years ago. But this museum told me what I knew before is just the tip of an iceberg. You can easily spend a whole day here because they built a lot of workable models, illustrative videos, comprehensive diagrams and interesting games that you can hardly find in other prestigious museums such as the Archaeological Museum and Acropolis Museum. You can also try and touch most of the exhibits there but you cannot do this in those big museums. The staff there are very friendly and helpful, especially Dimitris. He is very knowledgeable and is always ready to explain the technology in detail. He let me understand much more about various ancient Greek technology. When compared to the famous museums, the staff there just watch you for disallowed behaviour but not be there to help you understand the displays. If you are in Athens, especially when you are near Lycabettus Hill, don't miss this wonderful museum!!

Experiencia fantástica: This is a super cool, interactive style museum that should not be missed! A bit further out to get to, but worth it. This museum covers musical instruments, ancient board games which are precursors to those still played today, weaponry, scientific achievements with hydraulics, medical equipment still in use today etc. It’s a really fascinating glimpse into an ancient culture that valued scientific discovery and laid the foundations (in the West) for future developments and discoveries.

Experiencia fantástica: This is one of the best things we did in Athens. Absolutely amazing! The museum has so many cool displays and interactive items. I recommend getting a guide (we had Anna) to explain all of the cool devices and even play some of the ancient games. It is well worth it. Plan to spend at least an hour here!
