Experiencia fantástica: Totally enjoyed 清玉's exhibition. Great collections (flowers, landscapes, and gardens). Would be even better if they provide english introduction for each art piece. General admission ¥1200. Take about 1.5 hour.

Experiencia fantástica: This museum has small exhibitions: one is s permanent that costs 200¥ and temporary exhibitions with varying prices. Besides the art which is always great, there is a big space cheer children can play and read books while adults can have a very good coffee in the museum cafe. The place is not crowded with tourists - that makes it very cozy and fun.

Experiencia fantástica: Who’s Banksy? Visited on 24 Mar 2023

Experiencia fantástica: 福岡には何度も来ていますが、こちらの美術館にははじめてお邪魔しました。 フロアが高層階にあってアプローチが若干手間、というのを除けば、本当に素晴らしい美術館です。 訪れた日は古代エジプト美術館展が開催中だったので、こちらを観覧しました。 神話の世界と特異な造形美には感嘆するしかないですが、3000年の長きにわたるエジプト文明をきちんと理解するのはハードルが高そうですね。 ミイラの実物こそないものの、ミイラの甕棺なども展示されていてなかなかにリアルな展示でした。 特別展のチケットでコレクション展も観覧できます。これがまた、おまけなどというレベルではない素晴らしい展示。 単に所蔵品を無造作に並べるのでなく、テーマを決めた企画展が4つほど同時並行で並んでいて、見ごたえがあります。 なかでもインドネシア・バリ島の美術展は、これまで全く知見のなかった地域ですが、その独自の文化について、学芸員の方が詳しく説明してくださり、よく理解できました。 こちらの美術館はアジア美術に関する豊富なコレクションを持ち、定期的に配置換えが行われているようなので、ぜひまた別の機会にお邪魔したいですね。 福岡には何度も来ていますが、こちらの美術館にははじめてお邪魔しました。 フロアが高層階にあってアプローチが若干手間、というのを除けば、本当に素晴らしい美術館です。 …

Experiencia positiva: Expositions are very interesting, you will find below the pieces names and titles of art that I found the most interesting. Up to you to go looking at them. The LGBT exposition was very small though and not very interesting in itself.

Experiencia fantástica: Superb. The permanent collection is well curated, with artworks accompanied by explanations that educate the visitor. A mobile phone app (free download) gives useful additional information for about half the collection. Entrance is a bargain at 200 yen, there's a cafe and a library at the end. The museum hosts visiting exhibitions (extra fee) but for me the permanent collection is more than adequate.

Experiencia fantástica: Great little museum to browse for a few hours, nice art shop and cafe. 200 Yen per person for admission into gallery.

Experiencia positiva: I took my time and spent an hour here, but the permanent exhibition really wasn’t very interesting. I left without feeling like I had a good overview of Asian art, nor what it even meant. The displays have information in English, and there is an app you can download, though I didn’t feel the impetus to. The entrance fee of 200 yen is reasonable, and there are refundable 100 yen coin lockers.

Experiencia fantástica: You can access the regular exhibit for ¥200, and there are some special exhibits open for free. Descriptions of the pieces are easily read from their English translations. Interesting collection of modern Asian art. It's definitely worth the visit!
