Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting museum, with very beautiful pieces on display. There is the permanent exhibition and the temporary one. Just the permanent exhibition took me 1.5 hours ( going through everything). Most pieces have some explanation or information in English

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent museum well worth a visit. While visitors might focus on the atomic bomb museum, this very well curated and presented place looks more at the rich trading, history and cultural importance of Nagasaki. The buildings are beautiful, exhibits informative and varied and many descriptions are in English. They also include some real examples of the commodities that were traded, building mock-ups and plenty of models. Also some good interactive and on-demand displays using a variety of technologies. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke some English. Entry fee also very cheap! Highly recommended.

Experiencia positiva: A very detailed museum--almost too detailed, in fact. You will definitely leave this museum having a good understanding of the sort of city that Nagasaki used to be.

Experiencia fantástica: I had medium expectations and was pleasantly surprised! This museum, with interacting exhibits paints a vivid picture of Nagasaki from the 17th to 19th century, centered around trade and the connections between the city and the world. The beautifully reconstructed traditional building at the back is also very impressive.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a modern and very well laid out museum. I was expecting something much colder, and was very pleasantly surprised. As several people have said, there could be even more information given in English, however, I found that the audio set which comes with the admission price was in general very well done. There is a lot of information, about a lot of different aspects of the history of Nagasaki. The re-created rooms of the administrative officials are very well done and impressive. Well worthwhile.

Experiencia fantástica: I enjoyed my visit here very much. I learnt a lot about the history of Nagasaki and it's surrounding areas. It was also nice to get a chance to walk through a replica of an old replica of Samurai housing. There was a digital speaker guide provided so we could get details about the different exhibition pieces in English

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely awesome! Spent 3h. You could get away with less or do more. Superb collection. Well presented. Don't miss the very reasonable lunch at about 1000Y in their lovely lacquerware restaurant. A very Japanese perspective on the Age of Exploration (and I'm a history buff). So worthwhil

Experiencia fantástica: Great museum with a English audio guide tour. It's a gorgeous collection well presented. Allow 3 hours to visit and make sure to see the reanactement scene with the magistrate and a Christian boy. Finish your tour with a delicious meal at the restaurant.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful brand new facility with many activities to do. We enjoyed the Lego exhibition going when we visited. Their shop had wide range of traditional goods and it was so much fun to look at. My child enjoyed stained glass workshop. The staff taught him very well and now he is treasuring his key chain.
