Experiencia fantástica: Must-visit in Thessaloniki. The historical modern art section is very impressive and provides an insight on the local ideas and artists in 70s-80s. Recently they started supporting and acquiring present-time local pieces. Hope they expand more and more.

Experiencia fantástica: MOMus os actually composed of two parts: photography and experimental art gallery situated one in front of other. If you decide to take a walk along the old dock MOMus is a must see!

Experiencia fantástica: If you are interested in arts and culture you must pay a visit to thisone! In the heart of the city centre, near the sea. Also the whole area is full of great museums and sculptures such as Zongolopoulos Umbrellas, Georgiou Meteoron etc. From Takis to Andy Warhol this is a great way to learn about tha City and the Arts!

Experiencia fantástica: Great permanent collection of contemporary art from the national scene. When we visited the museum, there were another 3 exhibitions (In Vitro - Larissa Sansour - Søren Lind, Identity in Between and When the Present is History) that were awesome. The building itself it looks a little bit ”tired” and the the quality of the building from the architectural point of view is questionable. Of course, this doesn't affect the quality of the works or the way that the artworks are presented.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing museum! Definitely one of my favorite modern and contemporary art museums. Always has very interesting exhibitions, the space is aesthetically awesome and very fulfilling. Hygiene rules very well respected (as of covid 19 second wave). Overall there's nothing boring in this museum, even the shop has very nice things to offer for quiet attractive prices. Definitely recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice, very nice indeed! Great collection of modern art with amazing ideas. You can spend a few hours here mind blown. Makes your mind wonder how can these objects exist and how does one gets to come up with the will to do them... There is an art piece which looks like a collection of paintings with some lines... but you can actually sing at them... Sounds wired, right? Well you have to see it to understand it...

Experiencia fantástica: Most of the locals ignore that the museum exist. A great place of culture with periodic exhibitions. The museum also houses a small coffee-bar.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place to meander through 3 levels of fabulous Greek art. A friendly staff member gave us a privat tour and happily answered all questions. He really added depth to our understanding. Only 2 € admission if over 65. Nice Cafe adjacent.

Experiencia positiva: Given the size of Thessaloniki, this is a pretty impressive modern art institute, largely due to the donation of the permanent collection by Alexander Iolas. The space is well thought out and curated with very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Definitely worth a visit if you need a modernist interlude amongst all the surrounding antiquities.
