🗣️ Museo Judío de Tesalónica: Opiniones
Experiencia fantástica: Very intersting and well documented exibiton. Short opening hours, expendive.
Experiencia fantástica: Well organised exhibition, informative -definitely worth a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting museum with lots of History.
Experiencia fantástica: A must visit on Thessaloniki. Very well made representations of Jewish history in Thessaloniki
Experiencia fantástica: This small, well-designed museum packs more Thess knowledge per sq meter than the archeological museum. It is fascinating & tragic. Look, 50,000 Sephardic Jews left Spain in 1492 & basically made this city a cultural powerhouse. Half the city was Ladino/Spanish speaking Jews for 200 years. Then the Greek Revolution, 1917 fire & finally WWII ended Jewish presence here. Devastating evidence that nobody gets what they deserve. Critical for understanding European history. The newly installed music room is fantastically interesting & does a lot with a little. Go.
Experiencia fantástica: Very nice people and very interesting to be there. It was cool inside for me a plus point. At the desk very helpful
Experiencia fantástica: A beautiful museum presenting the history of Thessaloniki Jewry. The entrance ticket also allows you to visit two additional synagogues. Worth a visit.
Experiencia fantástica: They didn't let me take pics but I did anyway Finding my grandmother roots and what happened to h
Experiencia fantástica: Very informative museum with a good display, personal stories, photographs. Most of the exhibition has been translated into English. The entry 7 euros is perfectly worth paying. Sobering experience too, remembering all those Saloniki Jews who perished during WW2.
Experiencia fantástica: A worth visiting museum for both the architecture of the building and the exhibition. Aspects of Greek Jewish history not always well known to the public.
Experiencia fantástica: I was surprised to find out so much about the Jewish people. A fantastic museum
Experiencia fantástica: Very sobering and informative museum. The guys out front give you a hard time if you’re wearing a jacket, but it’s just because you could be concealing something. It’s €7 per ticket, cash only.
Experiencia fantástica: Lovely and touching museum about the Jews of the Thessaloniki, from ancient times until modern. Detailed history, including about the architecture and renovation of the museum itself. Signage in Hebrew and Greek, I couldn't get the Android app to work. My only regret was not having more time to spend; we were rushing to a Roman and Jewish tour of the city. Loved the permanent exhibit about brides without smiles.
Experiencia fantástica: A must visit to understand the history of Thessaloniki. Not only does this museum focus on the Jewish community, but also the interaction between the Christian and Muslim communities. At times the city's history serves as a model for diversity and achievement based on that diversity and tragically as the museum also shows at times the history is the reverse.
Experiencia fantástica: I was very impressed about the history of Jewish people in Thessaloniki. Also, this city was the centre of the Cabbala organization - the mysterious branch of Jewish religion. Highly recommend to whom are interested in history.
Experiencia fantástica: Very informative. We learned a lot about the history of the Jewish people in Thessaloniki. It was quite emotional for us
Experiencia fantástica: The place is really interesting and worth a visit. It includes information and exhibitions of the Jewish community before, during and after the Holocaust. Free entrance for students so don't forget your card!
Experiencia fantástica: As a specialist in Jewish history I am very critical but first of all very very nice stuff!!! And the exhibition is very well done but I would have liked to get to know about the present situation of Jews living in Thessaloniki.
Experiencia fantástica: To me as Jewish it was very interesting to see how ancient was the Jewish community of Thessaloniki and to learn about its reach culture the mutual help, and the changes over the years, till the Holocaust in which the majority of this beautiful community were murdered by the Nazis.
Experiencia fantástica: We spent about an hour in the museum and found it to be very well done. The entrance ticket costs 7 euro and let's you into the two synagogues: Yad Lezikaron and Monastiriotes which are open during then same times as the museum.
Experiencia fantástica: It is a vivid reminder of the human cruelty. It is also a reminder of the cultural, and financial input that Jewish people have provided in any place they went. These things need to be passed on to young kids at an early age.
Experiencia fantástica: All peoples...all races...all religions should visit this museum. As a species are we ever to learn true wisdom, tolerance, bravery and compassion? Here might be a good start. As I was putting away my purse after purchasing our tickets a French woman approached the counter and asked if she could take a photograph of one of the black marble plaques. She had found the names of .. "her family". Permission granted..."that's OK ,we always allow for this". The black plaques are a memorial to the Salonican victims of the Holocaust...and must list up to 45,000 names. The rest of the museum is rather beautiful, highly informative and amazingly manages also to be a celebration of Jewish life and culture in Salonica before their biggest tragedy in this part of the world.
Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic museum. Well worth visiting. It's not small as some other posts have suggested. Give yourself 90 minutes to see it all. Not to be missed. Should make it compulsory for every child and Young adult in Europe to visit Jewish history museums.
