Δοθέντος ότι ο σεισμός του 1953 κατέστρεψε μεγάλο μέρος της πολιτισμικής κληρονομιάς της Ζακύνθου, στο μουσείο αυτό κανείς θα δει μερικά από τα σωζόμενα, αντιπροσωπευτικά της επτανησιακής τέχνης.

Experiencia fantástica: Misschien een beetje er niche, je moet ervan houden, maar prachtige iconen en kerkelijk interieur die zijn gered na de aardbeving. Ook fijn formaat, precies klein genoeg om geboeid te blijven. Blij bezocht te hebben.

Experiencia positiva: As the only museum about the history of Zakynthos, it is definitely worth a visit if you are interested in more than beaches and boat trips. There is a small section with documents coming at the end, which would be better for a start, and many religious paintings, some from churches destroyed in the 1953 quake.

Experiencia positiva: The most of the exhibited objects are icons or religious service related items. Some local history objects, XVII-XIXth century. Free admission for children irrespective of age, 4 euros for adults.

Experiencia fantástica: Ένα μοναδικό μουσείο στο κέντρο της πλατείας Σολωμού στη Ζάκυνθο πρέπει οπωσδήποτε να πάτε. Θα δείτε πολλά εκκλησιαστικά έργα αλλά και έργα ντόπιων καλλιτεχνών μιας παλαιότερης εποχής σίγουρα θα ταξιδέψετε πίσω στο χρόνο!

Also contains an informative miniature version of Zakinthos town, displaying what the town looked like before the infamous earthquake of 1953. An interesting museum that is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in Zakinthos town!

Experiencia fantástica: Savršeno provedenih sat vremena. Čitavi ikonostasi porušenih crkava u najvećem zemljotresu koji je pogodio Zakintos, sačuvane ikone. Preporučujem najtoplij
