Experiencia fantástica: Impressive place. Former hospital built and used by the Knights Hospitallers in the c. XV, preserves its old, original brickwork and absolutely amazing architecture. You will find imposing or hidden staircases, large and small inner courtyards, terraces, arches, vaults... A must see. It houses a collection of ancient exhibits representing the evolution of the island during antiquity, up to the Roman era, as well as an exhibition of tombstones and coats of arms of several hospitable knights and grand masters from the 14th - 15th centuries. Experiencia fantástica: Nice informative place which once was a building that had been built by someone with a fair bit of money to splash about back in the medieval+ era. One thing is that some rooms are stuffy to all hell at the highest toasty warm temperatures of summer and you will be sweating like a fat kid in the sweet shop , same as the palace of the grandmasters (which you can visit as part of the combination tickets for a reasonable price) certain rooms are saunas.

Also there is the crypt with the tomb stones of the dead knights. If you enjoy looking at small antiques and reading their labels, you'll love it. My teenage child was not very interested. Experiencia fantástica: Oh my! At last museum that I really enjoyed. It has interesting layout, knocks and rooms, indoor palace garden and good display of antik relics. Interesting statue collection and stories from city of the dead. Toilet was also ok. Worth of every penny.

Experiencia fantástica: I loved looking at the precious artifacts presented at the Museum of Archaeology in Rhodes. It is wonderful to imagine travelling back in time through this historic medieval hospital where knights were treated for their wounds. In the museum you will find many tomb slabs from grand masters to elite knights, statues depicting Greek mythology, incredible floor and wall mosaic tile work and so much more. In some of the statues, pottery work and other art there are snakes/ serpents. In Greek mythology snakes gave priests a sense of communication with the afterworld and beyond. Not only these serpents represented death, evil forces, but they also were depicted as half man half serpent heroes & deity, gods of fertility and of medicine. So look for snakes in the museum. Experiencia fantástica: I’m so glad I’m stumbled onto this place. A medieval hospital that houses artifacts from prehistory through the classical era is definitely worth a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: We bought a combination ticket that included this and Palace and two small museums for €10 Euros. This ticket and the museums are worth the €10 Euros. I do recommend seeing this museum, at first it doesn't seem like are seeing much. Continue on and also up the stairs to next level and there are lots of rooms on both levels and then into beautiful gardens.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the best museums I've ever been in. The amount of ancient pottery is incredible, some dating back over 3,000 years. There's so much to see, and for €6 it's almost rude not to go.

Experiencia fantástica: The history of Greece is amazing. Here you can see the evolution of helenic culture as well as the work done by historians to piece everything together.

The items are displayed thematically and chronologically and most rooms have an information screen explaining the history and background of the displayed items. Great learning experience. The cool garden outside allows for a bit of rest on a hot day.

Experiencia fantástica: Great museum which wraps around the whole central courtyard which then heads out to the open roof area and then leads on the the gardened area which is easy to miss as it's up the steps when you go outside to see the statues outside on the roof. Well worth the 6euro entrance fee and it is even cheaper with a combi ticket for the palac

Experiencia positiva: Basic museum, worth dropping in if you’ve got some time to kill or bought the group ticket. The displays were quite repetitive and every room was quite similar. The building itself was beautiful and I will say it’s worth going in to see the gardens which where stunning!! Every item had a title but wasn’t given a description so didn’t really learn much other than the name of the item, most notable there was an egg in a cabinet labelled just “egg” I left without knowing anymore about said egg unfortunately! Additionally there was a crazy amount of museum staff around every corner who would follow and watch you throughout which was very off putting, not many staff in the garden which was relaxing!

Experiencia fantástica: Our first stop on a four museum tour. My partner and I purchased the four museums for 10€ ticket and it was definitely worth the money. The exhibits are interesting and well presented. They are housed in a beautiful and historic building, which I believe was once the order of knights hospitalier. The combination of the stunning architecture, steeped in history, and artefacts, which have stood the test of time, will have the onlooker mesmerised. If you are visiting the old town, I would recommend you take the time to explore this place; you will not be disappointed.

Experiencia fantástica: You can get a ticket for all four POI on the street of knights for just €10. Really good value of you visit each attraction, the museum was my favourite and definitely had a lot to offer in terms of history and some good photo opportunities! My personal favourite followed closely by the palace.

Experiencia fantástica: When you enter the building will not make you go 'wow', but my oh my you will be pleasantly surprised! A rather unique museum with large gardens with lemon and lime trees and several smaller buildings that you don't wanna miss. You're in for treat :)

Experiencia fantástica: There is nearly 5,000 years of history in the museum. Give yourself a good few hours/ half a day to wonder around the area. It's not just a museum, there are gardens, court yards, a house to look around plus rooms upon rooms of ancient relics. Mosaics are everywhere dating back 2,000. Simply breathtaking. Well worth 10 euros which will also get you into the grand palace and the church of our lady.
