Experiencia fantástica: El museo es probablemente de los más desconocidos de la ciudad, probablemente le pesa la comparación con el majestuoso de Historia del Arte, cercano. Porque es una pinacoteca pequeña. Son básicamente dos pasillos largos. Pero déjese sorprender: varias de sus obras son extraordinarias. El Juicio Final de El Bosco es el principal (y merecido) reclamo, pero la colección de Rubens no es pequeña. Y hay alguna inesperada obra más (como Boticelli o Van Dyck).

Experiencia negativa: La galería en sí es muy notable, pero la seguridad en la sala de la galería de imágenes... Él estaba en conversación con un visitante cuando entré. Solo luego notó mi mochila y mi paraguas y me sacó de la sala de manera pasivo-agresiva. La forma en que me trató fue realmente extremadamente despectiva. Realmente no sabía y nadie me informó que se debían guardar los objetos en una caja en la entrada, pero fui tratada como una criminal. Un tratamiento vergonzoso por parte de este hombre delgado y alto con una mirada penetrante.

Experiencia negativa: El museo se encuentra en un edificio muy bello, las obras expuestas son de gran calidad, pero no aprecié la mezcla entre lo clásico y lo moderno, sobre todo porque faltan explicaciones. Aparte de los títulos y los nombres de los autores, no hay paneles ni comentarios, ni un hilo lógico que guíe al espectador. Maravilloso el tríptico de Bosch, que desgraciadamente se expone al lado de una obra moderna, un video que se enciende automáticamente. Finalmente, no es barato. Creo que se puede hacer mejor.

Experiencia negativa: I couldn’t enjoy it because it’s so noisy. they put in lots of video and audio installations with disturbing modern stuff and only took the most sensational works… there is no longer a permanent exhibition here so be forewarned. If you came a long way just to see the Bosch that of course is worth the entry price. But I just couldn’t enjoy it with audio recordings of people saying “scheiße” in the same room with masterworks… sorry I paid 9€ to get in, can’t recommend it, unfortunately. It has changed a lot, previously it was quite enjoyable.

Experiencia positiva: Целью визита , конечно же, был Босх. Галерея спрятана на втором этаже Академии. Которую я не смог найти во второй раз, после перерыва на обед. В любом случае рекомендую , потому что иногда есть возможность посмотреть работы студентов и другие выставки, помимо классики собранной в музее. Из минусов отмечу очень тусклое освещение

Experiencia positiva: 1. Interessante Gemäldegallerie. Mir (als Mann) ist bei dieser Sammlung wieder aufgefallen, wie sterotypisch der Heldenmut oder die Tapferkeit der Frau und des Mannes gesehen wurde. Während der Mann heldenhaft für seine Überzeugungen stirbt (hier das Beispiel Cato), darf die Frau ihre Tugend bis zum Tod beweisen (hier: Lukretia, Vergenia). Das ist ein weltweiter Topos, man denke nur an die Frau des indischen Nationalhelden Rama, die sich als befreites Entführungsopfer freiwillig verbrennen ließ, um zu beweisen, dass sie sich nicht dem Entführer hingegeben hatte). 2. Mittelmäßige Beschriftung.

Experiencia positiva: It is not too big and although the highlights were definitely Bosch and Rubens, it contains some really fascinating paintings by less renowned authors, worth seeing. Current exhibition is very nicely designed, although in order to fully understand the idea of the curratos, one has to carefully read the exhibition guide available at the entrance (in German or English). Building is also quite fascinating itself.

Experiencia negativa: Although the gallery has a really beautiful collection of old master works on display, the exhibition itself is poorly curated, if not banal. But the absolute worst part of visiting this gallery is the visiting itself. It's the second time I was followed everywhere and stared at by the gallery guards to the extend that I felt completely uncomfortable and with absolute no feeling of privacy while watching the works. One feels not like a museum visitor but more like a thief or an unwanted guest. I don't recommend this place, not even to art historians...

Experiencia positiva: A lesser known gallery in Vienna. Tucked away on the 2nd floor of the Academy of Fine Arts (not that easy to find). It houses a small collection of classic and modern. The jewel of this collection is “The Last Judgement” by Bosch, simply stunning!

Experiencia fantástica: Trotz der Wegbeschreibung der Dame an der Rezeption war es nicht leicht, in dem großen Akademie-Gebäude die Gemäldesammlung zu finden. Vor Ort war dann das Personal ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir erfuhren, dass sich ein großer Teil der Sammlung im Archiv befindet. Zu sehen waren - im Wesentlichen in einem langen Saal und einem daneben befindlichen langen Gang - Werke der alten Meister zusammen mit moderner Kunst. Darunter waren auch beeindruckende Gemälde von Botticelli, Lucas Cranach, Rembrandt und Rubens. Highlight war das Weltgerichtstriptychon von Hieronymus Bosch, ein Meisterwerk von faszinierender Skurilität. Wir hatten an einem Sonntagvormittag rund 90 Minuten in der - eher wenig besuchten - Sammlung verbracht und waren im Hinblick auf den nicht allzu hohen Eintrittspreis von 9 € voll zufrieden.

Experiencia negativa: Now moved to the Academy of fine arts, this place does not deserve to own Bosch’s masterpiece altarpiece, The Last Judgement. As one of the art pieces people travel to Vienna for, to display it closed is an atrocity and extremely disappointing. I would have been incredulous if I had paid to enter to see it closed. I do t know how a curator who appreciates art history at all could do this.

Experiencia negativa: We came by chance on a free weekend when a new temporary exhibit was being shown. If I had paid for it, I would have demanded my money back. We came just to see The Last Judgment, but the curator had closed the triptych. Maybe to force everyone to spend more time on the modern art exhibit which was oddly shoehorned into the Gemäldegalerie? Also, the room felt like it must have been 80 degrees in there and all the plaques were confusingly arranged. Just poor curation.

Experiencia positiva: The Vienna Academy, founded in 1692, was not lucky enough to own a collection of paintings, as did most contemporary academies. This changed only by the generous patronage of Count Lamberg Sprinzenstein, who in 1822 bequeathed his widely famous collection of about 800 paintings of the Imperial Academy. The founder's testamentary specifications regarding publicity and catalog production made the "Gräflich Lamberg'sche Gemähldegalerie at the Academy of Fine Arts" in Vienna the first art museum in an institution. At the same time, the collection was also accessible to art students and teaching. Gradually, the aristocratic stock of images was established primarily as an important element of artist education, which should characterize the weighting of the art gallery for a long time - even in the 1970s, the copying in the art gallery was part of the education to become an academic painter. In 1877 the academy, together with its collections in Theophil, moved Hansen's elegant academy building to Schillerplatz, which is located on Ringstrasse. During the 19th and 20th centuries, the collection itself was considerably enlarged by numerous generous donations from the public and private sectors and today has almost 1600 inventory numbers. In view of the developments in contemporary art, in which the study of the old masters at the Vienna Academy had lost its original relevance, in the late 20th century the focus was again on the quality and international standing of Lamberg's first-class collection. The Gemäldegalerie, today one of the three important Old Masters collections in Vienna, has now primarily the obligation to present their holdings museal the public - both in the permanent exhibition and in exhibitions - to explore them and publish them in catalog form.
