Gia Long (the previous name) and now HCM museum is a delicate and beautiful place, an ingenious mixture of French, Greek and Asian architectural beauty.

Experiencia fantástica: This museum focuses on the history, culture and economics of Saigon throughout its history. While some of the exhibits are dated and, at times, inadvertently creepy, I thoroughly enjoyed wandering throughout this old French colonial mansion and perusing the displays on Vietnamese currency, matrimonial customs, and wildlife of the city. Worth a few hours of your time!

Experiencia positiva: This museum is good, but not great. Most of the exhibits are translated to english, but it is fairly outdated. There were also a bunch of photoshoots going on which got in the way of walking around the museum and grounds. But, I'd say it's a good cheap way to use a couple hours of time.

Experiencia positiva: visiting this museum equal to visiting ho chi minh city. You can learn about their story and history, their pass and their present from this museum. Unique architecture and so many couples come here to take their wedding picture. Entrance fee is not expensive at all, and it’s a great place to bring kids too. A must visit I could say.

Experiencia fantástica: A variety of exhibits from various eras of Vietnam, which are quite interesting. For me however, the real star of the show is the building itself. A beautiful old French palace, which has served various purposes since its construction, with original doors, shutters and fixtures throughout most of the interior. A popular photo spot with the locals.
