Experiencia fantástica: Amazing experience! There are 3 buildings with different themes. Expect to walk around a lot and enjoy the vintage vibe of this museum. Entrance fee is 30.000 for adults and 15.000 for students, which is not bad. Tip: bring water and a fan. It’s steamy inside with only 2-3 rooms with AC.

Experiencia fantástica: The Museum displays beautiful contemporary and wartime artworks as well as some national treasures. Considering many of them were created hundred years ago and survived the deadly war, I appreciate the talent of the artists and the various art techniques they used even more.

Experiencia fantástica: I have had a nice morning to visit this museum. A beautiful building. The paintings are wonderful and you recognise the importance of art, not as an ability of precision, more as a release to express feelings, fears, to tell stories, when words can’t do this anymore.

Experiencia fantástica: The displayed works were great but what mesmerised me was the museum building itself. Such a beautiful art deco structure with stain glass windows, beautiful doorways, patterned tiles, French windows, vintage elevator (not in use), and the sconces and chandeliers!!! I just couldn’t get enough of this place!

Experiencia fantástica: Really cool place, good art, but not air conditioned. Building is really cool tho great for pictures and a quiet morning or afternoon look around. Great little cafe on the premises too if you need a refreshment.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful building and amazing art. In this museum, you can find the most precious art pictures of Vietnam, from the most precious to even the glorious. 10/10 I HIGHLY RECOMMEND VISITING THIS PLACE IF YOU’RE IN SAIGON!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Cheap to get in. A very nice way to spend and hour away from the heat. Art was nice. The building itself was beautiful.

Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommended for anyone interested in the history of fine art to modern art in HCMC. The building itself has a history and is a sight to behold with many rooms to discover.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the most amazing set of surviving French buildings in the city. You're immediately transported back to a bygone era, with beautiful stained glass windows, tiled floors and eleborate staircases. The work of a wide range of Vietnamese artists is on display, along with some photography and historic artifacts in the other two buildings. There's enough here to keep you busy for a good few hours. Somewhat marred now on one side by the erection of a monstrous concrete block, which is completely out of place with all the local architecture and squats on the landscape like some towering behemoth, but I'm sure it'll make some people very rich so that's all that matters hey?

Experiencia fantástica: If you’re a lover of art, there’s a pretty good chance you’re also fond of architecture. The Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts does not disappoint in either regard (in my opinion, of course). Located on Pho Duc Chinh Street, District 1, HCMC Museum of Fine Arts’ Art Deco architecture grabbed me as soon as I entered the vicinity. The entrance fee of 30,000 VND was also a pleasant surprise. A quick Google search revealed that the museum was previously the family mansion of a certain Hui Bon Hoa, a wealthy businessman originally from the Fujian province of China who made his money in real estate and pawn shops. The museum is composed of several buildings (I only visited 2 or 3). The main building (the one immediately after the gate where you pay the entrance fee) housed many valuable Cham, Indian, and Khmer artifacts made between the 7th and 17th centuries (I didn’t know Hindu culture reached Vietnam). On my way to the second floor, I was treated to the sight of a wooden box elevator, supposedly one of the first in Saigon, and fine stained glass. The second and third floors consist of 19th and 20th-century art, influenced mostly by traditional rural life and the many wars that the country experienced during those times.

Experiencia positiva: A beautiful and rather small collection that feels more intimate compared to the other notable museums in south east asia. The estate is not in great condition, and i really wonder about the condition off these artworks considering they are exposed to the hot and humid air. So bring enough water since it can be warmer inside than out.

Experiencia fantástica: A good place to enjoy painting and sculptures. The museum buildings are colonial architecture. The First building exhibits art works of famous Vietnamese artists graduated from College of Fine Arts and Gia Dinh School of Fine Arts before 1975 and a collection of modern art after 1975. The Second one exhibits art works and personal collection. The Third one exhibits many sculptures and antique. There is a coffee shop within the museum where you can order drinks ( they also serve juice) Visit hours: From 8 AM until 5 PM throughout the week. Ticket price: 30,000 VND (15,000 for children). Parking: 5,000 VND for motorcycle.

Experiencia fantástica: The building is an ancient house of The Hui Bon Hoa family, a Chinese business man in old Saigon. Saigon people called him Uncle Hoa. The house was built as a residency house, not under the structure for a Museum. Its structure is French Architecture of end XIX - early XX century combined with a little touch of Oriental style by using ceramic roof.

Experiencia fantástica: Museum of fine art is a very great place to visit. It is a very old museum located in the centre of the Ho Chi Minh City. You will find so many good spots to take photos. The architecture is from France after Vietnam war and it is kept until today. This restaurants display all art pieces from great Vietnamese artist during that period. It told us about the history of this land and its development. It will open during weekdays and weekends. The ticket is cheap and you can stay here all day if you want. DSLR camera is allowed here with a service charge for taking photos, only mobile phone is free of charge.

Experiencia fantástica: Great atmosphere, beautiful paintings. Really calm and quiet place to visit. Could have more to offer, but admission is really cheap, so for that price is more than enough.

Experiencia fantástica: The museums and galleries here were well worth a visit. The ticket actually allows you into 3 different galleries and museums: 1. The main art gallery - By far the best of the 3, with a variety of paintings, lacquer art, and statues displayed over several floors. 2. The special gallery - what is featured here changes regularly. I wasn't fond of what was featured when I recently went though. 3. The stone statues and ceramics - felt more like a museum than a gallery than the other two, due to nearly all of the pieces being within glass cabinet.

Experiencia fantástica: I arrived very late so the museum was closed for visitors however it was lighted outside which was a surprise bonus . The light brings out the beautiful architect design of the building. I will come back again during the day so I can tour the inside. I would recommend that you research the history of the owners of the building before you get there. They were known to be the richest family in Vietnam during their time.

Experiencia fantástica: Gorgeous buildings and tons of pretty art to see in the museum and gallery in the back. Only 30k entry and a great place for photo ops with the beautiful stained glass windows and natural light. Needs some more $ to open up some of the darker and closed off spaces.

Experiencia fantástica: Was a pleasant surprise to visit this hidden charm. We were coming back from Paris and enjoyed the art scene there so didn’t expect much here to be honest. Yet the place took us by surprise for both its building (and the history of the original owner family - you need to do additional research here) and the collection. It houses a good collection of work from different times of Viet art scene and from different materials (oil, water color painting, silk, charcoal, carving, etc.). I’m pretty impressed with the lacquer painting here. Quite a rare find. The building is an interesting mix of French and East Asian design and architecture. Lots of small corridors and windows/doors leading to unexpected turns. I enjoyed the building walk just as much as the collection. Wonderful value for the visit. 30k VND )~1€ for unlimited access.

Experiencia fantástica: A must go for art enthusiasts. The building alone provides intimate corridors and romantic stain glass windows for reflective moments. The vintage lift and sweeping staircases are definitely the elegant feature of this building. Artists will appreciate the collection of drawings, lacquer, watercolor on silk and sculpture artworks representing vietnamese artists in their element such as war, women and country scenes. 30,000 entry free for a 3 building walk through. There’s a water cooler for you to top up your tumblers too!

Experiencia fantástica: Sadness.....I just can feel it while I watched all art works. Anyway, finally spot will give you happiness is around you. You will see when you do not miss 1st floor middle of buildings. There are several galleries and children's place to draw~

Experiencia fantástica: According to known information, in the past, the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum was the residence of a Chinese trader named Hua Bon Hoa. One of the richest and most famous people in Saigon at that time owned many other famous works such as Majestic Hotel, Tu Du Hospital, Saigon Emergency Center, ... The building is a harmonious combination between Asian architecture (China) and Europe (France) by Mr. Rivera, a French architect designed in 1929 and completed in 1934. This building is built on an area of up to 3,514m² in Art-deco architectural style. An architectural style that harmonizes between Asian and European art schools. In particular, this is the first project in Saigon to bring the elevator into the design of the building. At that time, the elevator room was made of wood and decorated, carved in an ancient palanquin in China.

Experiencia fantástica: Really worth to visit. Very good price for ticket. You can see not only the paintings from famous Vietnamese artists but also the very unique architecture of the building. But there is a small issue. The lights in there are not really good and the way they install them are quite bad too. It was a pity for me. But anyway, 5 stars for a good place to come and enjoy.

Experiencia fantástica: Very nice museum when it comes to modern art. There are many pieces that portray vietnamese culture and usage of different techniques in expressing them. The entrance fee is only 30k dong. Below are some pictures I took of some of my favourites. Enjoy!

Experiencia fantástica: A good place to go if you a big fan of paintings. Vietnam was colonised for around 10 years. So the paintings have been influenced by the Western style. However, it remains own greyish color tone which enables the Vietnamese style remain to be seen. Love it.
