Experiencia fantástica: Μια πολύ ωραία και απλή ξενάγηση που αξίζει όλοι ανεξαρτήτως ηλικίας να παρακολουθήσουν. Με διάρκεια 1 ώρας βλέπεις και μαθαίνεις αρκετά απο την ξεναγό του Μουσείου τη Δέσποινα για το πρώτο εργοστάσιο Φωταερίου που φώτισε την Ελλάδα!! Για να ενταχθείς σε γκρούπ ξενάγησης το αντίτιμο είναι αρκετά χαμηλό ακόμα και αν θελήσεις ιδιωτική ξενάγηση. Μια πολύ ωραία και απλή ξενάγηση που αξίζει όλοι ανεξαρτήτως ηλικίας να παρακολουθήσουν. Experiencia fantástica: A very interesting place that belongs to the modern history of Athens. They offer quite often guided tours (admission fee is 1 euro per person). You will learn many things about factory and the production of the gas. During the tour you will visit many buildings and one of them has an observation deck. The majority of the machines are in very good condition. Check the schedule of the guided tours on their website. Highly recommended.

Die Stadt Athen gewährt ihm ein 50-jähriges Vorrecht. 1938 geht die Gaswerkverwaltung an die Stadt Athen über. 1952 wurde die Athens Municipal Gasworks Operation gegründet und lieferten bis 1984 Gas an die Stadt. Athen. 1999 fanden die ersten kulturellen Veranstaltungen in den Räumen der alten Fabrik statt. Die Stadt Technopolis von Athen wurde Teil des historischen Verlaufs der Anlage. Im Jahr 2013 wurde dann das Gas Museum eröffnet.
