Experiencia positiva: I'm not the biggest museum lover but this one is wonderful. Highly recommend to visit in Cavtat. I especially loved talking to the woman running it. She pointed out shells from our home state and provided really interesting info. The only downside, no ac with the windows open. In the July heat, the mosquitos were bad. I wish I could have stayed longer but was too itchy to stay.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing collection of sea shells, of shapes and colors that I did not think were even possible for these. The owner is also incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about her collection. There are shells from both the local area (Adriatic Sea, etc.) and far away places. If you're in the area and want to see something different, or want to take a break from the sun, definitely check it out.

Amazing collection that her and her husband built up, beautifully presented and labelled. Spectacular photography on display as well! The host is a diver herself and is an extremely attentive guide of the shell Museum.They have a beautiful collection of shells from around the world collected by their family over 2500 beautiful shells stretching back from the 1700s...there is also some artwork from Vlaho Bukovac well worth a visit ...

The displays are beautiful and everything around the shell collection with its labels and the presentation itself sources from a lot of love and dedication to the fascinating world of shells.
