Experiencia fantástica: The Ethnographic Museum of Dubrovnik Museums (Etnografski muzej) is located in the large building of the Dubrovnik Republic’s granary, known as Rupe/The Holes, which derives from the name for the underground grain storage areas carved out of bedrock. It was built in 1590, as a four-storey structure with fifteen storage pits in the ground floor and spaces for drying on the upper floors. In the earthquake disaster of 1667, the building was damaged, the subsequent reconstruction turned it into the three-storey building that it is today. The traditional rural economy and architecture of the Dubrovnik region is found on the First Floor, while collections of traditional attire from Dubrovačko primorje, the Elaphite islands, Konavle, Mljet, Lastovo, Pelješac, Korčula, Rijeka Dubrovačka and Župa Dubrovačka can be seen on the Second Floor.

Experiencia positiva: The museum has some interesting pieces, but it doesn’t quite tell a story. However, if you have a Dubrovnik Pass, it is worth popping in. I wish they would put names and descriptions near each item rather than a numbered poster in the general area.

Les enfants ont apprécié ce musée qui partage les traditions des anciens. Les costumes sont superbes, les outils en parfait état. En revanche, heureusement que nous avions déjà quelques jours en Croatie derrière nous. Commencer par ce musée, sans un minimum de contexte, nous aurions été un peu perdus. Un feuillet présentant le musée aurait été pas mal. Musée très agréable. Idéal pour mieux mettre en évidence la vie passée des croates (et les influences d’aujourd’hui). Experiencia fantástica: Etnografski muzej smješten u ulici Od Rupa 3, na mjestu stare gradske žitnice. Muzej čine izlošci iz tradicijske kulture i života dubrovačkog kraja. U obilasku grada svakako obići.

Experiencia fantástica: Velmi zajímavé muzeum. Spousta zdejších exponátů, dobových krojů a dalších věcí. Cena vstupenky je provázaná ještě s dalšími muzei (s osmi) za 130 kn pro dospělého a 50 kn pro děti do 18 let. 3 patra a na každém je ukázáno něco jiného. Velmi doporučuji navštívit!

Experiencia fantástica: Świetne miejsce aby poznać sposób życia chorwatów. Dużo ciekawych eksponatów! Ogólnodostępna toaleta na ostatnim piętrze. Oczywiście to muzeum znajduje się przy ul. od Rupa 3, tu jest jakiś błąd, którego nie da się skorygować. Polecam to miejsce.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a really interesting museum about the history of Dubrovnik and Croatia. My favorite section was the floor that covered the old agricultural tools. The traditional Croatian outfits were also fun to see.
