🗣️ Museo de Hokkaido: Opiniones

Experiencia fantástica: A small but fantastic museum on Hokkaido's history. The displays are modern and well presented so anyone, especially kids, can understand what is going on. The circle of life type area would be particularly fun for kids with taxidermied animals presented in a way that's friendly and not freaky as with some museums. We did the museum in about 75 minutes but could spend longer if you like to read everything. Enough English to know whats happening. I recommend the Sapporo Select ticket Course B to get entry to this museum and 2 other locations from a short list (including nearby Hokkaido Historical Village).

Experiencia fantástica: A fun indoor outing to keep warm from all the snow! We spent about 1.5-2 hours here and took the train from Sapporo station then a bus. It was not difficult to navigate using google maps.

Experiencia fantástica: It's a well curated and put together museum. Come here first on your trip if you're the kind of person who likes to learn about the places you visit

Experiencia positiva: Interesting information and traditional objects about the daily life in Hokkaido, but the display could be more original and interactive (esp. for children), could look more 'human', and a lot of boards aren't translated in English

Experiencia fantástica: This museum is not only beautiful it is one of the coolest things I did in Sapporo! It gives an in-depth look at traditional Hokkaido cultures. Not to mention the museum itself is beautiful during winter.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent museum going over Hokkaido's history. Has plenty of artifacts and has descriptions in many languages. They also have a nice little Cafe there with good coffee.

Experiencia fantástica: Ha... I see classic Japanese style harsh criticism and I appreciate it, but this museum is good enough for foreign visitors and children. Let’s face it... the majority of the visitors should be travelers from abroad and parents with youngsters. Won’t hurt to have another ‘in-depth’ kind of display floor but I won’t be holding my breath for it.

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic museum that taught from thousands of years ago right through to the development of Hokkaido and the Ainu to modern day. This was very English friendly and even though we couldn't read some plaque my partner and I still got a lot out of it.

Experiencia fantástica: It’s good. Virtually all you would ever want to know about Hokkaido is here. The permanent collection is definitely five stars, but as for the special(temporary) collection, well... When I visited in August 2109, it was about the Ainu names of the lands and rivers. It was still okay, but not at all very kind to tourists or travelers. I think a part of the problem is the organization of it, because it’s a rather bland collection of maps and ancient scripts without any foreign language descriptions. Also, you are prohibited from taking pictures of the temporary collection.

Experiencia fantástica: Went to see this before the Hokkaido outdoor air museum and I think this was the right order in which to do it . This is a great primer on Hokkaido’s history and geography. There’s plenty of information in English, but a lot more interesting information in Japanese. I learned a lot, including about how industry in Hokkaido has changed, the history of Ainu oppression in Hokkaido, where Ainu culture sits in today’s society, and also about indentured labourers/shuujin in Hokkaido(!).

Experiencia fantástica: Great museum in the middle of nowhere. The curators have done a fantastic job at bringing together many great artifacts and exhibits. I'm very glad a took the time to visit and get a better understanding of Hokkaid

Experiencia fantástica: Learnt a lot about the history of Hokkaido from the wildlife to it's landscape and people. Some of the displays were interactive and we were allowed to touch and feel them. For me there was a lot to see. I also downloaded their app which was also helpful! I could spend the whole day here.

Experiencia fantástica: The museum was built in the 70's but has a modern interior and interactive presentation of the contents. You can learn the story of how the settlement in Hokkaido was first established until the modern age development. I especially like their presentation on Ainu culture, as the indigenous people of the island. Definitely a must visit place for those coming to Hokkaido.
