Experiencia fantástica: ¡Es un lugar que hay que ver si estás de viaje por carretera entre Smithers y Prince Rupert! Busca coches estacionados al lado de la carretera, junto a un río tipo cañón, en el lado norte de la carretera. Compramos un par de paquetes de salmón confitado (de hecho, tuvimos que volver a comprar más después de degustarlo jaja) y subimos las escaleras al museo, donde conocimos a Agnes. Ella fue una anfitriona tan amable y genuina, y compartió su amplio conocimiento en cada oportunidad. No te dejes engañar por el pequeño tamaño del edificio, ya que contiene algunos artefactos e historia impresionantes. Incluso conseguimos unos adorables mocasines para mi sobrino. No puedo recomendarlo lo suficiente. P.D. las tarifas de entrada se basan en donaciones y deben pagarse en efectivo, al igual que los productos de salmón. Creo que hay un cajero automático más adelante en la carretera, pero podría estar equivocado.

Experiencia negativa: Witset (formerly Moricetown) is a Wet'suwet'en village in Central British Columbia, Canada on the west side of the Bulkley River on Coryatsaqua Indian Reserve No. 2, and on Moricetown Indian Reserve No.1. The village was built during the early 1900s. Evidence of inhabitants date back to around 5,500 years ago.

Experiencia fantástica: Today , we visited the Museum, and we were amazed at the high quality artifacts ! Also Ashley and Willie and the local knowledge keeper told us about the history of the community. They told us that the fishery in the canyon is sacred to the community. The fishery was so well known by other 1st nation groups that there were wars back in 1812 & 1817 where these other groups were trying to take over the territory! There are only 6% of the community speaking their native language and they are working hard on teaching the language to the younger generation. If your travelling around Witset , BC it is a must to visit the museum and stay at the Witset Campground just next door. This was so interesting , we gave a donation !

Experiencia positiva: Nice museum full of cultural history and information. Admission by donation, highlight is friendly and knowledgeable staff. Gift shop also available, museum is located in RV camp above historic canyon.

Experiencia fantástica: It is indeed a hidden gem. The 45 min. tour by Sonya was amazing and she kept answering our many questions. Being able to see the artifacts, know the history, and understand how it all fit into the landscape from the balcony was perfect. An interactive experience that is one of a kind.

Experiencia fantástica: A hidden gem, small but mighty. Amazing gift shop and locally made crafts as well. The tour we got was incredible, I have been to museums in over 25 countries and this was undoubtedly one of the best! A must-visit for any Canadian. "Those who do not know thier own history are doomed to repeat it."
