Experiencia fantástica: The Best Museum in the Boundary if not the Kootney/Boundary area! Great staff! Lots of history, and an absolute must stop for tourists! The train caboose is very well preserved/restored and is really exciting to look at. Also an amazing collection of historical records for locals and for geanologists and those interested by history.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely worth the stop and an hour or three of looking around! Unassuming from the outside but contains a treasure trove of local history inside. Artifacts and antiques for the adults, cool trains and farm implements for the kids, and a lovely spot for a picnic out back.

We had the wonderful pleasure to speak with the museum curator who was indeed warm and inviting relating the upcoming plans for exciting changes in the museum.

Experiencia fantástica: We value these museums, and the $5 admission is worth it in order to help preserve and keep these places running. It was nice getting to check out the inside of the train as well as the former train station!

Experiencia fantástica: My 7yo son really enjoyed our visit here, from ringing the bell, to checking out the tools, to getting to go aboard an old train. I loved the art display in the building with the train station. The little trees, train, and figurines were so well modeled, I began to get pangs of nostalgia for a time I was only familiar with because I had read some of the true anecdotes posted on the walls. Stories make it real. The people in these photos existed, they built lives, overcame obstacles, had families, contributed to the history of the province/country. We need places like this to remind us about how our country has developed over the years. It's a great learning and family experience. Starts conversations with your children about things that have meaning. Museums like this often operate on donations, so it's important we check out little gems like this when we have a little extra time in a small town. Let's keep these memory repositories in business, they are important teaching tools.

Experiencia fantástica: Lovely place! Lovely people and amazing collection of artifacts and such for a museum. They just built a new bunker house with wheelchair access, kitchens, bathrooms and rooms to sleep in for the Kettle Valley biking tourists and that's a wonderful place to. Would have to call ahead and reserve ahead of time but one of these days I will bike the Kettle Valley!
