Experiencia fantástica: Interesting history of the islands. Took the Spanish 5 years to quell the indigenous peoples resistance. Ouch.

Experiencia fantástica: Precio 5€, pero merece mucho la pena, sitio donde ves la forma original de vida en la isla, tranquilo, pequeño y cómodo de visitar, en las proximidades hay locales de comida muy rica, a un precio normal y bien atendidos. Una buena visita para pasar una mañana!!!

Experiencia fantástica: A very interesting museum situated in a beautiful stunning ravine. It was all about the original inhabitants of the valley, their lives, their homes, diet, water supply and flora and fauna. Their was some interesting artefacts and interactive water mill. Lots to see and read. My one negative is a lot I could not read everything as writing too high up and some to far away to read even with my glasses on. The writing was in 3 languages. Their was a small gift shop at the entrance and toilets. Their is a small fee and plenty of parking. We visited on our up the ravine valley to see the cave villages, which was good as we learnt all about them first.

Experiencia fantástica: Toilets are situated in bus station. Generally well maintained. When I found that it was not listed on Google maps, I have added it so that many tourists and others can find them easily. Hope this is now useful to all. Cheers.

Experiencia fantástica: Das Museum am Anfang der Barranco Guayadeque ist klein, aber fein. Es enthält viele Informationen zu der Schlucht und ihrer Entstehung. Man muss aber schon ein wenig Interesse für das Thema Archäologie haben, sonst lohnt sich der Eintritt nicht. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich.

Experiencia fantástica: Interessantes Museum, ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen, aber wer sich für die Höhlen im Barranco Guayadeque interessiert, erfährt hier viel Hintergrundinformation. Eintritt kostet 5,-/Erwachsener. Fast alles ist auch auf Englisch und Deutsch übersetzt.

Experiencia fantástica: A really interesting look at how the valley was formed, and how its caves have been inhabited for 1500 years. Excellent displays and explanations about the lives of the original aboriginal Canarians, and also the lives of the valley's more recent inhabitants. And it's only 3 Euros to enter!

Experiencia fantástica: Fantástico, muy recomendable. Está muy cuidado, arreglado, limpio, exposiciones con contenido y diseño museográfico muy conseguido, muchas reconstrucciones parecen totalmente reales, información amplia, inclusiva de todas las áreas desde la que se puede estudiar el barranco: geológica, biológica, climatológica, cultural, histórica, etc. El personal excelente, amable, cordial y dispuesto a ayudar en todo. Impacta la localización del lugar y que el museo sea practicamente una cueva, es una maravilla la visita. Amplios aparcamiento gratis. La entrada es de 2,5€ para residentes y 3€ para no residentes, un precio simbólico en comparación con lo que ofrecen. También hay baños y tienda con libros, cerámica y souvenirs. Se llega fácilmente si desde la autopista se toma la carretera que conduce a Agüimes y después, justo antes de llegar al barranco se gira a la izquierda, luego no hay más que una dirección que nos lleva directos al centro de interpretación. Se recomienda visitar también el barranco, los yacimientos no son accesibles por su altura pero se pueden ver desde abajo y hay otros atractivos en la zona. Fantástico, muy recomendable. Experiencia fantástica: Went yesterday.. A great little museum only costs 3.5 euros but gives you a good insight into how the indigenous population of Gran Canaria lived. Absolutely loved it. The bit which struck me was how much the rain fall on the island has changed and how little the really is. It made me appreciate how precious rain is here as it's been thunder and lightning all day. I won't complain.. Is a blessing for the locals. The caves are incredible and the drive beautiful here a stark and beautiful contrast to the desolate South. Well worth the drive and so beautiful.

Experiencia fantástica: Wer etwas über die Kultur und die Geschichte lernen will ist hier genau richtig. Der Eintritt kostet 3 Eur für Erwachsene. Alle Erklärungen sind auf Spanisch, Englisch und Deutsch.

Interessant ein Überblick über die durch Lava entstandenen Schluchten (Bco.). 3€ Eintritt ist OK. Man sollte auf alle Fälle dann mit den Auto bis zum Ende der Schlucht fahren. Die diversen Restaurants im Felsen der Schlucht kann man aber meist nicht besuchen wg. der Parkplatzsituation. Man erfährt hier einiged über die Ureinwohner Gran Canarias und wie sie in den Lavahöhlen gelebt haben. Experiencia fantástica: Está muy interesante y toca todos los aspectos: la biología, geología, la fauna y flora, la historia. Representa muy bien como vivieron sus habitantes, que debieron ser gente muy fuerte.

Fuer mich war es sehr beeindruckend durch die alten Wohnhoehlen zu spazieren. Die Bewohner sind alle sehr freundlich und erzaehlen gerne ueber Ihre Geschichte. Zudem gibt es entlang des Canyons ein Besucherzentrum und gute Gastronomie. Sehr zu empfehlen. Experiencia fantástica: Visiting this museum in your way in to the valley is a must for people that are interested in the history and archeological importance of the protected area. After seeing the photos and exhibits related to the barranco, you will be able to relate it to the real places once you continue your excursion up the valley. The museum might be a little oldfashion, it is still definitely worth your time.

Experiencia fantástica: Loved this place. Staff v friendly and happy to spend time explaining things. Great to see before heading up the valley. V interesting displays of cave villages. Short and snappy enough to keep teenagers interested! V highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting museum about the Guayadeque Gorge. In my opinion a must visit when visiting the gorge. It's not very big, but is reasonably priced. Explanations about the people that used to live there. Explanations about the forming of the gorge and the nature. Also a small gift shop. Part of the museum is in a cave itself. Recommended!

Experiencia fantástica: If you're planing on visiting the caves then pop in to this museum first on the way. It's a lovely museum with lots of interesting stuff and not expensive at all.
