Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic experience, especially getting to stand on the deck id the HMS Beagle replica and stand beside the tiny lifeboat that Sir Earnest Shackleton and five men sailed from Elephant Island, Antarctica through 800 miles of the "Furious Fifties" to South Georgia to get help for his marooned crew.

Experiencia fantástica: My favorite museum in Punta Arenas! Very cool outdoor museum with in-depth information about the explorers that discovered this area- Magellan, Fitz Roy, and Shackleton. Gives you an idea of the toughness of life at sea.

Experiencia positiva: A really nice experience visiting three replicas of old ships, two of them with great history. It is definitely worthwhile a visit so as to appreciate how difficult it was to explore the seas centuries ago.

Experiencia positiva: It was an unique museum experience, because you get to see the inside of three historical ship. For the price (5,000 peso), it was a worthwhile visit while we were in Punta Arenas looking for things to do. Though, I would not necessarily plan my day around it if you are short on time. We rented bicycles from a local business to come here. There was a place to park them, should you choose to do the same.

Experiencia fantástica: Great replicas of historic ships that sailed through the Strait of Magellan, including Magellan's Nao Victoria and the HMS Beagle that took Charles Darwin to the Galapagos Islands. You can get inside the ships and read lots of historical information. Entry fees are $5.000 pesos ($7 USD) for adults and $2.000 ($3 USD) for children. To get there from downtown Punta Arenas, we took the Bus Intercomunal to Rio Seco- it cost around $0.50 USD per person and we arrived to the museum within 15 minutes, just tell the driver you want to go to the museum and they'll drop you off right out front.

Experiencia fantástica: A beautiful place, the boats were magnificent and the panoramic view was special. A little far away from the center of the city but at ty end it deserves the shame of the transportation.

Plus a small... Almost private beach. Service at the counter wasn't the best and the place is still getting a hand of remodeling. But it was an amazing infrastructure. I highly recommend a visit

Experiencia fantástica: A must visit! I have always wonder the feeling of being side an old school ship... my god this is one locatuon that will take you back. You can walk on the ship and has access to everything inside. You become a crew member of the ship. They have so much information and so much to see. They charged around 6 dollars to get in. It's worth it!

Experiencia fantástica: Very fun place where you can walk around and in ships and learn about famous voyages including Magellan, Darwin, and Shackleton (the successful failure of a south pole voyage). Fairly cheap, signage in Spanish and English, and easy to get to in a taxi - 3000 clp (about 5 usd) and 10 minute ride for us.
