Experiencia fantástica: This place was wonderful. We went on a very hot day and the air conditioning alone was worth the entry fee. That aside, it had so much information my brain was spinning, in a good way. There were more minerals than fossils but what they did have, dino-wise, was so cute and enjoyable for kids as well as informative. They had plenty to keep the adults interested as well. 10 out of 10 would recommend and make the 2+ hour drive again.

Experiencia positiva: Good place to visit especially with kids. Lot's of collection of minerals and fossil along with its history. Kids were very excited to see dinosaur skeleton. There was 4 questions for kids with answers hidden in the museum and they received a free gift after submitting the paper at the reception. Small place but overall worth visiting atleast once.

Experiencia fantástica: Was there Monday and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Staff were friendly and polite, and I would say that they were very attentive to the shop. There are lots of wonderful things that vary from the kids toys to very delicate and highly priced items, we were at the museum for just over an hour admiring everything in both collections, despite being told it doesn't usually take that long! Big thankyou to the staff for our lovely day out.

Experiencia fantástica: Really interesting displays. Not too big to be boring and large enough for a good diversity of displays. Almost in centre of town to do other things, but parking time a little limited (one hour), unless you park further away. We found the one hour parking to be adequate for our visit, but could have lingered longer in the museum had we not been concerned about a parking ticket. Highly recommended.

Experiencia fantástica: A great little museum with lovely staff. I would recommend between 15 minutes to 1 hour for most. Their gift shop is also a one stop shop for dinosaur themed gifts.

Experiencia fantástica: An amazing opportunity to learn and discover the history of the natural resources found within our planet, and learn a little about the creatures that once roamed our beautiful earth. A must see place to visit to experience one of the best collections found in Australia.

Experiencia fantástica: Wow what an amazing place! It has an AMAZING minerals exhibition with so much information and laid out so amazingly! Then you step through to the fossil and dinosaur exhibition and you're in for another surprise. So many fantastic fossils laid out in chronological order with so much ieasy to understand and labelled information. To top this off, a fantastic T-Rex skeleton along with a few others. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Bathurst. Or even better, get.pass for all three excellent museums here in Bathurst and see them all! Minerals and Dinosaur, Train and Mt Panorama museums..(It's actually cheaper to get a pass for all three)

Experiencia fantástica: This was a pretty great experience, it’s not the biggest museum but all those gems and stones are something that I had never seen before and it’s definitely worth going. They also have some pretty cool dinosaur skeletons.

Experiencia fantástica: I’m not one for minerals but this gallery changed that with the Albert Chapman collection. Make sure you checkout the dinosaur eggs, not posting so you can see them for yourself! Shoutout to the staff for the lovely customer service.

Experiencia fantástica: INCREDIBLE! I could have spent all day there! What an amazing display, so well labelled and beautifully displayed. So many rare and unusual crystals....I was in my element. The fossil collection was educational. Easy to access and a must see, set in an old school building.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely brilliant collection of fossils and minerals. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. And of course the size of 'Mike' the T-rex skeleton simply left you in awe. Highly recommended for kids and adults of all ages.

Experiencia fantástica: We paid $15 per adult for entry. It took us about 90 minutes to have a good look around. The color and shapes of the minerals are amazing. The fossil section is great too and very interesting. There's a good gift shop with lots of fossils and rocks for sale.

What a beautiful collection and is recommended to anyone that loves anything shinny. The museum is not big but certainly very interesting.

Experiencia fantástica: This is a small part of Prof. Warren Somervilles collection , it contains many great samples of minerals and fossils with a t-rex cast in the middle of the room. there are fossils made from opal and displays of gold , fossils and minerals from around the world. well worth the time to visit , has toilets and a gift shop

The entrance fee is a little steep, but the collection is really well curated and signed, and it has amazing examples of each thing being showcased. The building is an old converted schoolhouse designed by a church architect to the building itself is also interesting to view. Well worth a couple of hours.
