The torture chamber downstairs was super interesting and dark, teens and older children love it. Great guides too! Experiencia fantástica: The guided tour of the horror collection was great, we were the only two there and the host was a good laugh too. The historical figures are a bit drier, but still a lot of good information and a somewhat surreal experience.

Experiencia fantástica: The downstairs horror area was great and the guide was very informative and funny. Upstairs was cool too. Very cool place as the statues are real wax and not resin like they use in modern museums.

Experiencia fantástica: My first visit ever to the Gold Coast and I just had to go here. Yes it’s no Madame Tussauds but it has a charm of its own. The horror tour downstairs is not to be missed. She was very informative on all things torture. I mean she really knew her stuff. Beheadings, hot wax, starvation, hangings, stocks and much more, you will be informed. Upstairs. Yes I don’t no Harry and Megan were left out or why Donald Trump wasn’t present but it’s early days. The highlight is the Whitney Houston wax figure. Just amazing how wrong they got that one. But hay it was still an amazing afternoon.

Experiencia fantástica: On a rainy day it's pretty good, especially the torture tour presentation that's included. The gentleman at front desk was excellent, very informative and they loved their work, very kind.

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter and I visited the Wax Museum today. I had been to it about 20 years ago when it was located in a different place. We really enjoyed the tour of the Torture Chamber. It was such a gruesome era. It was great to see the historical and celebrity figures.

Experiencia fantástica: This is an interesting place indeed, my wife found a long lost friend within this business, and no, they are not made of wax!! The friendly lady behind the counter of this marvelous Gold Coast institution, happened to be an old school classmate of my wife, who she hasn't seen for a many years?? With reacquaintance's established, myself and the wife were given an in-depth tour of this facility. Downstairs is where your worst nightmares begin, this area is un-available to cameras, digital or otherwise. It consists of mankind's cruelest methods of torture and maiming that could possibly be carried out on another human being? Stretch torture racks, entrails removal whilst still awake, simple starvation practices etc.. Upstairs however is a total pleasure, here is wax figurines of famous, and sometimes not too famous people and characters from history's past. Example, "Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow", Paul Hogan Crocodile Dundee", "Winston Churchill", "The current Royals, Will & Kate", "Buzz Aldrin", just to name a few. This place will appeal to all ages and themes.

Experiencia positiva: Cheap tourist attraction. I wouldn't recommend it though. The wax images are pretty poor. The lovely man at the door is very passionate about the place ????

Experiencia fantástica: Visited the Museum on holidays, unsure of parking, it's on the main hwy so very busy area. We walked from trams Cavill Ave, 15mins. bus service nearby, prices are up there but ok with a guide for the torture tour Downstairs, allow an hour+ for the whole 2 floors. may not be for little ones. The downstairs exibition shows forms of torture and in custody punishment through the last 500yrs or more, with a commentary by guide, was interesting, sadly no photo's permitted. Upstairs at your leisure with various displays of people of history, icons etc and present day. Interesting as all models are of same size and weight of the person. photo's permitted.

Experiencia positiva: Not worth the money, the wax figures are avarage in craftsmanship as they are in quantity and the ones that are there are packed too close together so if you're planning to take a picture with a celeb you'll have to be prepared to have other wax figures photo bomb. The downstairs tour is very informative if you can make out the information.

Experiencia fantástica: Really good tour guide with heaps of interesting facts and anecdotes. Whether you're into history or not you will love going through here. Kylie Minogue is really short as it turns out. The wax models are of people at a certain age so in some cases much younger than they are now. Considering you get a guided tour this is definitely one of the more affordable and quality attractions in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: Such a lovely place for any age. Maybe the horror section for a young child but it's very informative. The host was super nice, even the guide in the horror section was nice. He has an accent but I could understand him so it didn't bother me at all. 100% reccomened anyone to visit this place, it's worth it.

Experiencia fantástica: The staffs were very friendly and have good sense of humor. Very Informative tour of Chamber of Horrors. I was also given ample time to translate in Chamber of horrors. It took us 30 minutes to go through Chamber of horrors and and the famous people section. The most remarkable thing was the friendly nature of the staffs.
