Experiencia fantástica: Great historic site well upheld and with lots of important info and cool interactive spots

Experiencia fantástica: Dogs are allowed "only" for exhibitions, which are outside. Very good technical and historical museum with crossover to many social points and science areas. Very educating.

Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting Museum on the development of rockets and the historical context was very well displayed. We spent over three hours in there.

Experiencia fantástica: One can never quite fathom the scope and consequences of WW2 let alone the resources put into the war and HTM certainly try it's best to assist. Amazing. The artsy and quasi-philosophical approach doesn't quite do it for this visitor, and still a lot of the exhibition gimmicks are quite powerful. E.g. at the locker room at the end of the main exhibition, where the names of key characters are put and when you open c.v.'s and pictures are merited. That the power plant was actually in use til 1990, was a surprise. Five stars shouldn't compare to Kennedy Space Center and in its right is fully warranted.

Experiencia positiva: Interesting for what it was and the development of rockets and worth seeing for that alone. A bit of a depressing place. The old locker room shows details of some of the people that worked there and are interesting stories. The old power station is an amazing building but very bleak. There's not really that much here but it's one of those places that you just have to visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Great display of European ingenuity, engineering, applied research and history (especially the A-4/V-2 rocket: Hallo NASA!). + Dual language (German-English) information presentation on way finders. + Indoor and outdoor historical, structural and art exhibits to explore. + Souvenir shop.

Experiencia fantástica: Germany is one of the museums on the island of Berlin. It is necessary to start early for the island of Muze and if you get all the museums when buying tickets, it will be cheaper. In addition, they are giving a gratitude with Turkish language supported Turkish language.

Experiencia fantástica: Very interesting, good display and well preserved.

Experiencia fantástica: Very fascinating history behind this place. And the views from the rooftop are amazing.

Ari Joki 3 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent balance between on one hand technical and engineering achievements and on the other hand the realities of war and totalitarian society.

Jannatul Ferdoush 3 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: I was amazed to see all the things of the museum. The rockets were mindblowing.

Rob van der Aa 3 years ago

Experiencia positiva: Interesting place due to the history on rocketry. The powerplant is a must for industrial photographers to enjoy the old technology.

Aleksandra Walczak 4 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely amazing place full of history and secrets from 2nd world war. Get audio guide and browser this amazing place. I loved it. Especially the chance to see V2 rocket.

Experiencia fantástica: Birthplace of the rockets. Engineers love it but the history is so sad. Super day trip.

Experiencia fantástica: Very interested place. Exhibition should be visited with voice guide. You get a lot of Information.

Experiencia fantástica: During the Second World War, engineers in Peenemünde on Usedom constructed the notorious V2 rocket. This Museum shows the conflicting development and shows the consequences. Everything is well documented. At each of the 23rd stations there is a multilingual notice board with further information. In addition, an app offers orientation and more information. Great recommendation not only for history buffs.

Søren Lytzau 4 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: The museum is situated in the beautiful village of Peenemünde on the island Usedom in the eastern part of Germany. This means that you will need more than just a few hours for a visit, because you will definitely also want to see the harbour, and maybe also visit some of the other museums nearby. Both inside and outside the museum is lots to see and explore, and all information is both in german and english. We will sure visit again.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place to learn some history! I strongly recommend visiting if you are in the area!

Dave Egan 5 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Great museum, showing the development of rocket technology that took place in the area and the impact that it had and has to this day. Displays are in German, English and Polish.

Ketil Nilsen 5 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Great place, full off history. Recommend that you spend a day here. One off the most important places in modern history. Could have changed the outcome of the war. Wernher von Braun (later director NASA) and his rockets, had they come just a little earlier, the outcome would have been different.

David Sharp 5 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: A large complex of historic interest specifically about rocketry, pushed to one side somewhat is the human cost and what the rockets were used for by the Germans at the time and nothing to do with technological advancement..that has been painted years later! Its a fascinating place all the same and warrants a full day. It wasnt signposted until really near, Just keep heading up the peninsula and you will fall upon it.

Experiencia fantástica: A breathtaking place with an interesting and balanced exhibition. Definitely should get on the roof as well (accessible also for handicapped people). There is a nice view on the docs and some more information about the places near the power station. Probably, an audio guide is helpful and can at times provide more context and additional information.

Experiencia fantástica: Fascinating place, the exhibits and museum are very well presented. Great to explore the area. Gift shop mostly books and a little disappointed with the gifts available. Regular ferry crossings from nearby places which are recommended although you can drive there and there is lots of parking.

Experiencia fantástica: Industrial architecture meets the terror of the Nazi V2 program. Bit of a trek from Berlin but totally worth it (go on a Sunday for ultra cheap rail fares). Took about 3 1/2 hours from HBF station. Many hours can be spent learning about the missile program to win the war for Nazi Germany by bombing the heart out of cities in the UK and killing many civilians, which became winning the cold war race to the moon for the US without much questioning of the SS credentials of Werner Von Braun et al. Great exhibits including rockets, launch ramps, and tremendous background. Top dark tourism site in Germany.

Experiencia fantástica: We have spent half a day visiting this sight including the airfield and Peenemünde harbour. The Museum is a large site with lot of walking, my Husband is not a walker as partly disabled. I have asked museum staff if any possibility to drive closer and they were sooo helpful let us park at the employee Car Park.

Goran Juric 6 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Here u can see and learn a lot of German history in WW II, but also about binging of Space program.

Piotr Jachowicz 6 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: This place is a real museum with educational purpose. It tells a story much broader than V1 and V2 missiles. Be prepared to spend at least two hours, otherwise you will have to skip some parts. Audio guide is highly recommended.

Eirik Newth 6 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent exhibitions, detailing the rocket science that was done at Peenemünde as well as the horrific human cost as a result of the use of slave labour. As large parts of the area was heavily bombed during the war and then demolished in the post-war era, there is little left of what was once a world-leading centre of high-tech research and development. But still well worth a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place. Must see. Next You have to visit the underground city in Swinoujscie.

Christina Schulz 6 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Very cool museum with so much to see! I would recommend putting 2-3 hours aside to see everything. Lots of the things you will want to see are outside so make sure you're comfortable with the current weather! It was foggy/raining when we were there but it was still very enjoyable!

Vedran Maricevic 6 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Place with lots of history. One can say place where Saturn rocket was born to take people to moon. A must visit.

Cameron Arsenault 6 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: An amazing piece of humanity's history riddled with controversy. Despite the conditions and means by which the work was done, this place is the birthplace of modern rocketry, and is responsible for nearly all modern science from GPS to the Internet.

Experiencia fantástica: Temporary addition until the 8th of Septemb

Hampus Wallin 6 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: I recommend to get the audio guides, they are really good and helps a lot if you can't read german.

Experiencia fantástica: Surprising place I didn't know was displaying so many evidences of that troubled period.

Lukasz Lukasz (kAzAA) 7 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Nice exhibition, a lot interesting things, paid parking, ticket for one person 8 euro, you can pay by credit card

Pawel Majak 7 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: The must-see for the rocket science fanatics. Seeing a V1 bomb and V2 rocket with your own eyes is worth the trip alone. Most enjoyable for people truly interested in the early days of rocketry. Fascinating but somewhat grimm place (for obvious reasons). Makes you think how scientific progress so often goes hand in hand with war efforts.

Mike 7 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Nice place to go to see history of rocket science! But keep in mind reason for development! Because to take photo in front of V2 by showing very happy.... Doesn't make sense to me. Because of history, this is a place you have to go.

Pavel Bodiš 7 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing place, a lot of information in museum, definitely worth visiting (2 hours minimum).

Richard Smith 7 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Always wanted to go here. Slightly freaked out because the train to Peenemunde was packed to bursting point with children. But there are loads of kids activities there. The museum in the power station was brilliant and as a 1990s techno fan I loved the power station. Bad weather prevented me from exploring beyond the power station but it was very organized if you wanted to see the whole site.

Søren 7 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: An really interesting place to visit, expect at least to spend a couple of hours just to go through the best stuff there.

David Alexander Strehober 8 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Everybody that is interested in rocket science should pay this place a visit. Historic and informative. Will come back soon.

Jackie Clark 8 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: So informative! Devote an entire day and take you time reading all the text thru out the museum. I hope to go back soon.
