Experiencia fantástica: This is a great art gallery to visit. We spent a couple of hours and joined the free tour led by Tony who was friendly and knowledgeable.

Experiencia fantástica: A must-visit when in Perth. Wonderful, airy gallery with a sweeping collection, including local and international artists, classical and contemporary. My favourite part about it is that even when the subjects are serious, it doesn’t take itself too seriously - there is a lot of playfulness throughout. The best example of this is the interactive Boorongur | Totem by Sharyn Egan, which encourages people of all ages to sit, think and create. Excellent cafe and gift shop.

Experiencia fantástica: The first good thing is that it is free. What a nice surprise. There was a lot of different rooms with different types of art to see. We both found many interesting pieces. We loved the Pulse exhibit of young talent.

Experiencia fantástica: We, the Ukrainian and Russian speaking NM TAFE students are very grateful to "Art Gallery of WA" for having the excursions with tour guide Elena. It let us better understand Australian life through seeing the unique indigenous art and vibrant young artist's works. It helps us to integrate into Australian society.

Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely Stunning! Highly recommend! I will be going back again shortly to go back through the current exhibitions. It has such a stunning display of art from diverse backgrounds, incorporating all the cultures within Australia. The indigenous exhibition was very moving and I highly recommend the Pulse exhibit. The pictured piece is moving and some of the best art I've ever seen. The rendition of the girl with the pearl earring is elegant and sophisticated, it cleverly conveys the integration of cultures in Australia.

Experiencia fantástica: Is there any better way to expand public's access to art than opening a door for free charge? I think the Art gallery of WA in Perth is a good example. Its geographical accessibility is good, but most of all, I felt the real effort of the gallery in trying to reach citizens by lowering the psychological and physical barriers to exhibitions.

Experiencia fantástica: Great museum. Great architecture and collection. Came here for the Yoshitomo Nara exhibit, great pieces that I never seen before. Been to a few Nara exhibits but this one is very intereting. Great for young children as they have an interactive zone that kids can play and build their own sculpture. Great shop and merchandise too.

Experiencia fantástica: Great Museum with interesting exhibitions. Free entry which is amazing. Loved the kids area with all the blocks to build something- spent some time there even as adults :). Great rooftop as well for a nice city view.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent and comfortable lecture theatre for 50-100 persons. A/V quite sophisticated and laptop Mac connections very easy. Microphone on the lectern is well positioned. Need to check the room 30’ before starting to make sure the A/C is on especially first thing in the day or out of hours. Also, the art Gallery guides’ lecture on the history of portraiture by A.Marshall was well worth it (and a terrific morning tea was supplied in the catering area in the theatre lobby afterwards).

Experiencia fantástica: 3 floors of exhibition space. Full of historical facts. Themes on culture, nature, wildlife, space, dinosaurs. And so much more. Gift shop has so many books, games and souvenirs.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful gallery with a lot of diversity. My favourite room was definitely the collective ground, a massive dark room with heaps of aboriginal objects. There's toilets at each level, they're all clean

Experiencia fantástica: Some impressive exhibitions on at present especially the Tom Malone Glass Prize with a 20 year retrospective of other year's winners. Stunning indigenous works and also the youthful talent of Year 12 artists on exhibition

Experiencia fantástica: Exciting re-start since their reopening. Looking forward to what's to come. Great exhibit of contemporary Indigenous art, and the inclusion of 'fringe' culture. The rooftop space will be incredible once shading is installed to manage the summer nonsense.

Experiencia fantástica: A lovely experience! The recent renovations are great, the art gallery is looking very good and current exhibitions are interesting. Rooftop bar not so good but art gallery is definitely worth a visit.

Experiencia positiva: Me and my friend went here and had such a fun time. All the art work here was very nice. Only bad thing was that the security guy was basically chasing us as soon as we'd walked through the door. He said we weren't allowed to take photos but the security guy on the next floor said we could? The gift shop is very expensive. The young artists work was very impressive ????

Experiencia fantástica: My friends and I had an amazing time at the gallery today. It had been years since I visited, so it was lovely to experience some of the updates, including the gorgeous rooftop bar with stunning views of Perth city, great drinks and warm and welcoming staff. I loved looking at all the interesting glass work as part of the Tom Malone Prize. The Collective Ground Exhibition was also beautifully curated. If you haven't been to the gallery in a while, put it back on your list to do sooner rather than later.

Experiencia fantástica: We visited again after the renovation and were impressed with the work done. The new rooftop looks amazing. It’s always fun spending a morning browsing through the art at AGWA then grabbing something to eat at Northbridge after.

Experiencia fantástica: Please note : while the roof is being repaired only 2 galleries are open till Jan 2021.but itsq good place for those culture vultures with only an hour to spare. They are also making some upgrades that will make it worth a visit after the visiting the new Perth museum opening at the end of Nov to thr public.

Experiencia fantástica: Beautiful gallery from the outside as well as from the inside. Very well worth the visit. They keep changing their art collections which is fantastic as it makes it attractive to be visited more than once. I go to WA for work and this is one of the places I would like to visit again

Experiencia fantástica: Our art gallery here in Perth's cultural centre is currently a buzz of activity as new displays are being installed, however this didn't take away from the visit I just had. A fascinating array of eclectic art items for visitors to take in makes AGWA a great place to spend an hour or two.

Experiencia fantástica: Love visiting the art gallery. There is a variety of art works in currently including the amazing year twelve Pulse Perspective works of 2019. There are also natural fiber textile workshops for free for all age groups. Help the W.A artist Sharyn Egan create a gigantic grass tree sculpture. The workshops are in a beautiful old section of the gallery.

Experiencia fantástica: Perth art gallery was amazing and definelty worth a visi. Only 5 mins walk from Perth underground. There is a jewellery exihibtion on at the money which has some really nice jewellery items. The art work and the sculptures are divided in different sections. Staff were really nice and helpful.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited the art gallery without having very high expectations because I have no clue how to appreciate art and how to analyze it. However, the various exhibitions they had going on were very interesting. There was also a really helpful security guard that talked us through some of the pieces. Super interesting visit and I would definitely go back there again. Be sure to set aside at least 3 hours to fully enjoy everything the gallery has to offer.

Experiencia fantástica: One of the best places to visit in the city. Ground floor focuses on contemporary art and the latest in the local arena. Top floors offer art pieces tested by time. A nice flow overall. There's also space for private/corporate events. Attentive team on the ground. Has a very good shop and cafe withing the master building. Very close to other attractions.

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed our visit. Some very interesting contemporary art and I was very pleased to see some of the Colonial Australian works. And I had a great discussion with one of the staff members who pointed out some things I hadn't noticed in some of the paintings.

Experiencia fantástica: One of my last visit while in Perth It was very lovely but my favorite section was by far the exhibition with all the young artist's of Perth. It was breathtaking to see so much talent in one room, very diverse but also empowered, political engaged It is nice to see that some kids in the next generations still care about important things like international relations and culture. I didn't have time to check out the Florence's exhibit which looked unreal

The Art Gallery itself and surrounding areas have undergone extensive renovations over the past few years especially and still continue to display such a diverse range of Art.... The Staff are extremely knowledgeable and well trained in all types of Artwork... From paintings to 3D structures, there are so many amazing pieces of Art...!! The Art Gallery of WA is most definitely worth visiting whilst the holidays are still on.... At the moment they are still showing Heath Ledger's Life in Pictures Display... It is a great display and if you make your way down here, you will see just how talented this young West AustralIan man was...!! With a newly renovated and licensed restaurant/cafe just at the front of The Art Gallery, called 'FRANK' AGWA (Art Gallery of Western Australia) Don't take my word on it.... Come take a look..! A great day out for everyone....

Experiencia fantástica: A great modern gallery just outside the city that features many local, national and international pieces. The recent addition of the History of Sneakers was a fantastic exhibition. Outside features some fantastic historic buildings as well as gardens and huge natural rooftop vegetable garden showcasing many of our local offerings. A very cheap and fun way to spend an afternoon.
