Der Verein “Computer Museum beider Basel” betreut die beiden Museumsstandorte in der Firma ColoBâle in Pratteln und im Gymnasium Bäumlihof Basel.
Ziel ist es, geschichtlich relevante Computermodelle für zukünftige Generationen zu bewahren, Wissen zu vermitteln und die Möglichkeit zu bieten, die Geräte in Funktion zu betreiben.
Der Verein konzentriert sich hauptsächlich auf Hard- und Software klassischer Heimcomputer sowie Spielkonsolen.
Die Geräte sollen funktionstüchtig sein und dürfen von den Besuchern bedient werden.
Eine grosse ”Retro Game Lounge“ soll Vergangenheit und Gegenwart der Computerspiele erlebbar machen. Angesprochen sind insbesondere Kinder und Junggebliebene.
Geöffnet am letzten Sonntag im Monat von 14 bis 17 Uhr.

Experiencia fantástica: A lots of very old computer but this is only half of the story. People there have a real commitment to show and tell the story of every thing they have. Great place to show young ones some of "how things where" and how things work(ed).
