We had the small museum all to ourselves on a rainy day, so Philipp who worked there took his time for us to explain all about the museum and the minerals. Very knowledgeable! It is amazing that Andre Gorsatt has been able to find all these treasures in this region. Minerals I thought were only found in other regions in the world. I can only imagine the feeling you would get by finding something beautiful like that! When you love minerals and you are in the area anyway it is definitely worth the visit! PS, also bought delicious local organic jam and honey.

Experiencia positiva: Leuke plek! Er zijn 3 kamers met allemaal mineralen die gevonden zijn op verschillende plekken in Zwitserland. Wel weer lekker duur zoals gewoonlijk in Zwitserland! Maar mineralen zijn überhaupt gewoon duur!

Experiencia fantástica: An excellent (small but beautiful) museum with all the best finds of Andre Gorsatt himself - his lifework. If you visit Lengenbach for the minerals, this is a must-stop. The museum consists of two big rooms with cabinets that display the minerals with enough space and light. A third room is in the making. The shop adjacent to the museum offers some very nice minerals from the local area, as well as an interesting selection of minerals worldwide. Very good shop to improve your collection (some bargaining is allowed :-) ). On top of that, there are two good restaurants nearby, and the surroundings are just stunning.
