Experiencia fantástica: Una joya escondida al pie del Jura ️ Arquitectura que rinde homenaje a las formas del despliegue floral. Exposición llevada a cabo en un lugar sereno que nos sumerge en plena inmersión.

Experiencia positiva: El lugar es absolutamente magnífico, me encantó la contemporaneidad del edificio en medio del campo. La vista es efectivamente espectacular, tanto por fuera como por dentro. Sin embargo, no quedé plenamente satisfecho con mi interacción con la bibliotecaria. Encontré que su desconocimiento del material y la disposición de las secciones eran decepcionantes. Por ejemplo, pedí obras de literatura rumana y me dirigieron a la sección de literatura oriental, ya que la bibliotecaria había confundido la literatura rumana con la gitana. Es una pena, porque también habría apreciado una colección más amplia de libros.

Experiencia fantástica: When I saw this building for the first time from a far distance a foggy autumn morning a couple of years ago, I suspected it might be a potential URBEX project to study. How wrong I was! This was Switzerland, no URBEX possibilites here. When coming closer, I discovered a marvellous place, devoted to literature and writing. The Russian section of the splendid library is particularly rich and interesting. You can have a bite in their café and visit interesting exhibitions, many of which associate to the main objectives of the Jean Michalski foundation.

Experiencia negativa: Le bâtiment et la bibliothèque sont jolis, mais il faut s’annoncer auprès du service communication pour faire des photos, à titre privé, de l’extérieur du bâtiment, dont l’accès est déjà fort restreint… Une politique franchement décevante…

Experiencia negativa: Eindrückliche, sehenswerte Architektur, insbesondere wenn die Sonne scheint und interessante Beleuchtungen und Schatten entstehen lässt. Vor einigen Jahren hatte ich dazu einige sehr schöne Fotos hochgeladen, die alle von Geisterhand gelöscht wurden. Angeblich verbietet die Stiftung das Fotografieren auf ihrem Grundstück. Andererseits rühmt sich die Stiftung, ein öffentlicher Ort der Begegnung zu sein. Für mich ist das ein Widerspruch. Zu den vielen Büchern und den Gründen zu deren Auswahl kann ich mich nicht äussern.

Experiencia positiva: Il faut y aller, c'est une magnifique exposition de Stefan Zweig à Martin Bodmer. Les bâtiments sont surprenants dans leur architecture. N oubliez pas d aller voir la bibliothèque

Experiencia fantástica: Un lieu aussi surréaliste qu’exceptionnel! Le paradis rêvé pour quiconque un tant soit peu intéressé à la littérature.. Un amant d’architecture y trouvera aussi bien son compte tellement ce joyau recèle d’ingéniosité, de la bibliothèque à l’auditorium! Un vrai plaisir de déambuler en ces lieux un après-midi avec, en toile de fond, le Jura et des perspectives lointaines sur le Léman et les Alpes.

Experiencia positiva: Indéniablement intéressant, un lieu paisible où les auteurs invités sur dossier peuvent progresser dans leur travail d'écriture. Une bibliothèque impressionnante. Si le décor du pied du Jura est magique, l'intention excellente, l'effort architectural considérable, ce dernier peine à convaincre.

Experiencia negativa: Faut aimer le style architectural contemporain mais l'idée des loges pour étudiants écrivains est super sympas et elles sont tres jolies.. magnifiques bibliothèque. L'espace expositions est très petit mais vu le prix demandé à l'entrée c'est tout a fait justifié (5.- par personne).

Experiencia fantástica: Magnifique lieu inspirant, une communauté pour partager l’amour de la littérature et la création littéraire. Une bibliothèque unique par la richesse de la collection de littérature de tous horizons. Les rencontres avec les écrivains et les expositions très originales valent le déplacement. On est bien accueilli!

Experiencia fantástica: Ein wunderbarer Ort… Absolut unvergleichbar

Experiencia positiva: A great initiative although a bit in the middle of nowhere but perhaps this was the intention of the founder. The architecture seems rather modern for the rural Swiss surroundings. To me, it seemed more of a literally monestry than a literature foundation supporting all sort of writings. There is a beautiful library with classics of different countries and languages, Russian including. If you seek a bit of solitude and quiet then you can install yourself in one of the writer's corners that are hidden here and there on different levels of the library. Some such corners have a very pretty view, some stunning and some plain. Currently, there is an exhibition in the Foundation dedicated to the history of comics (November 28 - 5 December 2018). The explanatory text is in French but the comics books on display are both in English and in French. Some are possible to handle and leaf through, which adds to the interactivity. There are also some writers' lodgings looking like they came out of sci-fi movie - sort of concrete cubicals hanging up in the air. Not my cup of tea, but perhaps can be attractive to some more cutting edge or ostere writers. The Foundation is open on Sundays too.
