Experiencia fantástica: ¡Por favor, ábrete! El Holocausto es el evento conmemorativo del que cada estudiante aprende.

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent! The museum is not big but very informative and nicely presented. The stories of Holocaust survivors give a personal touch for easier understanding what all those innocent people went through. It is so good to know that schools bring kids in there to learn that terrible part of history. No one must forget those horrific crimes. Highly recommended!

Experiencia fantástica: Extremely engaging and educational experience about the Holocaust; learnt many things taught by some wonderful educators who were kind, interactive with the audience and providing very interesting activities for us to complete, making the visit all the more memorable

Experiencia positiva: Small but engaging and deeply moving at times. Although there's one thing I came across that detracted greatly from the experience and does serious discredit to the museum. In the section towards the end, on other genocides around the world, there is a plate that addresses treatment of Aboriginal people in Australia. It states that "all aspects of Australian society" were "active participants" in the genocide of Aboriginal people. This is a horrible thing to say and is inflammatory and untrue. There were many that worked very hard and made great sacrifices to help Aboriginal people. Certainly the past treatment of Aboriginal Australians has been terrible at times and must be acknowledged. But to make an absolute statement damning "all aspects of Australian society" is unreasonable, unjust, and does nothing to further reconciliation.

Experiencia fantástica: We all need to remember so that we don't stand by and let it happen again. Well set out with lots of photos, information and explanation. We left full of reflection, and a better understanding and admiration for the people who survived and told their stories. Be prepared to shed a tear.

Experiencia fantástica: I don't see the museum as being small, I see it as another puzzle in the history of the Holocaust, the people affected by it, and how then world responded. And each puzzle piece always adds more to the picture. The staff is informative, friendly and just plain wonderful. And even though there was a school tour during our visit we were able to listen to Andrew Steiner talk about living in Hungary during WWII.

Experiencia fantástica: AMAZING and sobering experience. Very emotional learning more about the Holocaust

David Walker 3 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: A very poignant and well spoken museum. The permanent exhibition handles a sensitive topic very well and explains many aspects of the Holocaust that aren't as well covered elsewhere. Being able to attend events and hear first-hand stories from actual holocaust survivors is something everyone should take the opportunity to do at least once.

Experiencia fantástica: This museum presents a terrible time in history in a very compassionate and respectful way. It is well set out. There are warnings for people who may be upset by some of the more confronting images and those are kept to one section. It makes a great educational resource for people both young and old, linking more modern times and occurrences of racism, asking important questions of us.

Experiencia fantástica: A small museum but lots of information to process. You are personally greeted at the door. I love that survivors came to Adelaide and we get to share their insights. Displays are top standard. Well worth a visit.

Experiencia fantástica: A small museum but you could easily spend 3 hours here reading all of the information - I know I certainly did. Well established considering they opened towards the end of 2020. As a young person, it is so important for to learn about what happened and to engage with the information provided. I've visited Holocaust museums overseas and was genuinely so pleased to learn that we now have one in Adelaide. Absolutely worth your time visiting, and the staff member and volunteer I spoke to were very kind and pleasant.

Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Steiner Education Centre

Thank you Breanne.

Experiencia fantástica: I visited earlier today and would highly recommend this place. A guide greeted me on arrival (Diana) and took a small group of us around the displays offering insights and explanations which I found really interesting. She was happy to spend time answering our questions afterwards too. The museum is quite small but has lots of information and short videos. I easily spent about an hour after the tour by myself going around and reading the exhibit information in more detail and the things I read about and saw have stayed with me all day.

Experiencia fantástica: For a small museum there's a lot of information on display, all people should see this as one of the worst examples of mans inhumanity to man.

Melanie Khoo 3 years ago

Adelaide Holocaust Museum and Steiner Education Centre

Thank you Melanie.

Experiencia fantástica: A big thank you to the survivors who came to Australia and told their stories to enlighten the world the terrible things that happened in World War 2. The exhibition was excellent. Very well presented.

Luiz Pedro Silveira Correa 3 years ago

Experiencia fantástica: Deeply engrossing experience with many personal recounts of holocaust survivors living in Adelaide. If you are lucky you can even catch a conversation with one of them.

Michael Blakeway 4 years ago

Experiencia positiva: Very small and limited exhibition. Some confusion about whether it is free or $10 per head. The latter is the case.
